Looking for WM6.5.3 Lite ROM - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development

Hello Sir,
I've been looking whole threads and have not found it yet. I found that Da_G ROM was almost what i need, but it can't be download anymore (dead link).
If there's info (links or saved own made cooked ROM), i'm very pleased to know it.
Thank You

I suggest you to go for kalhemio or ondrastar created ROM. If you are looking for direct link visit www.f1ip.net
cheers

Thanks a lot Sir, I'll try it soon..
Downloading now..quite little 76,7Mb only

Finished flashing lite ROM, really fast and responsive, but i missed some apps i need, titanium, connection wizard (still can't find cab file for it).
Now downloading lite ROM one, newly built, flashing when i'm done.
Actually i had try some kitchen, Josh kitchen and last Ervius, but till now still failed passed trough second splashscreen, still find out why.
By the way, here's link for kalhimeo lite ROM collections : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=604893
Thank You

Rom Cooking

I'm quite the newbie when it comes to ROM cooking, quite lucky to have a P4350 so I can mess around a bit w/o worrying about bricking the phone. I was able to flash the t-mobile dump using this method:
xander803 said:
I'll try to detail out exactly what I did. The rom kitchen was used for every single step. The directions provided with the program are not comprehensive but done well enough that you can figure most of it out.
1). Use the extract tool and choose "dump from bin" and dump the wing os bin posted on the first page. This dumped the contents to a directory in xdump.
2). After this "pkgtool" will run to separate out the sys and oem folders.
3). Move the contents of "xdump" (which should be the sys and oem folders and maybe a couple other files) into the "kitchen" folder.
4). Place the XIP folder and Aserg's os.nb, both of which are found in this thread, into the "ROM" folder. Aserg's os.nb will have to be renamed, check for details in the rom kitchen help file.
5). This is the step where cooks can delete/add stuff but I wouldn't recommend it your first time through.
6). Run "Build" and it should automatically create your new os.nb. We don't need to do any of the conversion afterwards because we can just put this os.nb in place of Aserg's os.nb and use his method to flash.
Please read through the rom kitchen's help manual as well as Aserg's help file for flashing the herald and make sure you understand exactly what you have to do. If you don't have an unbranded Herald it may be difficult to recover from a bricked device. I bricked my device several times before getting it but luckily I have an unbranded Herald so I could just flash an official WM5 WWE back on. Lastly, do this at your own risk, this worked for me but may not work for others.

What I wanted to know is what I would have to do to switch the T-Mobile rom with the PdaViet rom in this process of cooking. I have tried various methods, but have had no luck right now. The ROM image I create hangs at the initial bootscreen.
Also on another note, not sure why this is but when I extract the PdaViet rom and then compile it back together using the Pro Kitchen, the new image is always a bit smaller (like I missed something.)
Question: How did you CID unlock your device?
I didn't have to CID Unlock to upgrade.
Well I found out that its normal for the rom size to shrink using the Core Pro Kitchen, this is because of Tadzio's program. What I can't seem to figure out is why I can't flash the new build of the PdaViet rom without it freezing at the first splash screen. At first I thought it was the missing .rgu files found by , but I have found out that those were taken out for a reason, so that cancels out one potential problem.
We just have to wait a little more. Anichillus is trying to creat the Kitchen for the herald as he promised it. But now after exams he is in holiday. But after that he will present a new kitchen. Just wait a little.
And yes - his kitchen compresses the files more than other.
Keep on working and cooking. The Heraldforum needs it really...
I never liked PDAViet roms - so let´s creat own ones...
Thanks
Thanks for the update, and only reason I wanted to use the PdaViet rom is cuz it has the newest build. Guess I'll just work with k0ster's release.
Yeah man, i'll beta test any roms you create, I just paid to have my Wing CID Unlocked and i'm trying out PDAVIET's rom's now.

I thought you couldn't CID unlock the Wing.
^^imei-check. It worked so far. No other wing user has tried, I don't believe, i'm the first guinea pig.
So I just started to cook ROMs for the herald and I have to say it is a long and enduring process, but simple enough that anyone who wants to learn is able to do so.
For anyone else who is interested I am using the Core Pro Kitchen to build the roms, using this rom as my base (very clean-also good rom to load to your phone directly. Doesnt have missing files unlike PdaViet rom when running PkgTool.)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319142
I also found a very useful selection of OEM cab packages that work with the herald for the most part. If they dont a simple edit will do the trick.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319970&highlight=rom+kitchen+guide
Even a newb can cook up a rom using this method so there ain't no excuses.\
Cheers
So by all means all P4350 users start experimenting and cooking up ROMS so that Terra and Wing users have something to look forward to when they have an RUU.

anichillus told me that the artemis version should work.
BUT write an pm to him and he will give you a link to his "Hyper Core Kitchen" the complete new one!!!!!!!!!
Give it a try
im going to try this out again and see if I can cook something up. I tried and actually created a rom be4 but was too scared to try it out. ill see if I can have a release by the end of the week but my computers been acting up. imma try to get the touchFLO working also.
neptune, post your cooked rom up or post some pics. did u do a traditional rom or one with the Touch home plugin and stuff?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=323166
Would you be able to add that into your rom? It's a button free activation of the 3D Cube!
i'm currently cooking a rom using the Artemis kitchen, i'll post up how it goes, main issue for me is trying to make sure i'm putting packages in the right folder. I downloaded a .rar full of pre-mad packages so all I gotta do is drag and drop. i'm using k0ster's rom as a base but would love to use the official wm6 that was just released as a base as its newer and cleaner i'm guessing. we'll see, maybe we'll see some cooked roms from me soon!

It should be better to extract the REAL WM6 rom with nbhextract and then start cooking the rom with the kitchen for Artemis (anichillus Core Kitchen??).
ANd be sure - in about one week there will be a new kitchen from him
But please use the real OS. Not a ported one!!
^Alright, i'll try that tonight. What is the major files that people remove? (Transcriber, etc.)

Kovsky Kitchen

This the WM6.1 Xperia ROM Kitchen by originally developed by jcespi2005 and jugglerlkr. I have adapted it to work with the Xperia! Please search XDA for the full tutorial which is pretty much the same for other phones.

Can someone please upload this to a premium or FTP account please? This link has a 10 download limit.
Note: XP SP2 or Vista with MS .NET Framework required to use it.
Remember to backup your phone and use HardSPL before you flash ANY rom!!
Download the BaseRom you wish to use here on XDA and extract your RUU_signed.nbh. Download the kitchen and read the included instructions to install and start cooking!
Unrar Kovsky kitchen to the root of c: so you have c:\kovskykitchen

I started this thread because I could not see one for an Xperia rom kitchen.
I have modified a Raphael Kitchen so it will cook X1 roms. Is anyone interested? If so, I think I will have to get someone's permission to release it.
Any ideas / does anyone want the kitchen?

Yeah, I'd be interested in learning how to cook ROMS. How hard is it to learn how to do it? I've been a developer for many years so have a good level of technical skill.

Pretty much the same except I have removed everything that is Raphael and replaced with X1. There is also some config updates in Dark Simpson's tool so it signs the rom properly.

Cheers itje, I will release it this weekend with credits. Everyone else, standby - just need to test it a bit more.
Anyone hoping to use the kitchen should look for the tutorials for using it as there is no point in me writing another one when there are already plenty of good ones at XDA.

Hi,
Please could someone do a guide/tutorial for this kitchen.
I am aware that there is a guide for the Kaiser, but is this really the same?
It would be nice if there was a step by step and 'what you need' list so that people can start dumping/cooking roms for themselves.
If there already is a guide/tutorial then I apologise, could someone please link?
Thanks,
Phil Rich

I'm having a huge problem with this kitchen.. well all kitchens. IMGFSFROMDUMP keeps crashing. All i do is extract a stock rom and it fails everytime. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Question
Is there any other mirror for this kitchen? The current mirror keeps failing me at 10%.
I'm not sure why though.
is it possible to re-up the ZIP please? because it is offline... thanks in advance!!
File isn't available anymore. Any other links?
someone please upload kovskykitchen.zip i wanted to backup my rom...

[Newbie] Restoring Rom

I have the Swedish version of Touch HD and I installed a custom Rom.
So my question is can I restore my original ROM meaning making my phone the way I bought it? o yeah my ROM was "1.14.413.0 (24011)SVE"
Thanks in advance
Hi,
a little manual:
load the kitchen http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=438456
unzip in a empty folder (Pass: you'll find in the text file contained)
open your swedish stock rom and copy ruu_signed.nbh to BaseRom folder on kitchen
open BlackStoneKitchen.CMD and choose e (e = extract Rom)
wait a few minutes it takes something now
when it is finished, you will find the folder OEM ROM and SYS
make your changes and start again BlackStoneKitchen.CMD
choose c, f, or cf = cook, flash or cook and flash
wfg
starbase64
hmm sounds good exept that that I dont have a swedish ROM :/
Any idea where I can get1?
and btw can I use HardSPL to install an offical ROM?
If you could wait at least until tomorrow I might find time to dump my original swedish rom. I haven't had the time to "upgrade" to WWE yet

would be great, I'll be waiting.
I've got limited time for playing around with this today and since I'm unable to find a RUU_Signed.nbh at the moment, all original rom mirrors seem down I'm unable to create a rom at the moment. Correct me if I'm wrong anywhere here, rom-cooking is completely new territory for me.
At least I've dumped the rom following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427507
I have Part00.raw and Part03.raw but as far as I've understood those are not needed and thus I'm not adding them to the upload. I could send these on request if anyone explains what they're for. I don't wanna upload Part03 if it's an image of my installation...
I realized I didn't specify so in the file name but obviously this is a dump of Blackstone Swedish shipping rom.
Was planning to host on rapidshare but it doesn't like me so here's an ftp-share: ftp://guest:[email protected]:21
Hosted there until 2009-01-01
i think you dont need to to through any steps. I restored my rom just simply open up the stock rom and start install it. i have installed HSPL.
Well, the problem is that he didn't have a stock rom. And so far nobody's posted any swedish rom's as far as I can tell.
Anyway, rapdishare finally managed to complete my upload, choose which one you prefer - if you're based in sweden you're likely to download faster from my ftp.
http://rapidshare.com/files/174886962/1.14.413.0.Swedish.Unbranded.RomDump.Part01_Part02.rar.html
Help me please I really have no idea what to do now.
I read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427507
and well didnt go very well. so plox help!!!!1
After a few hrs I finally managed to install it.
Thanks for your help guys, especially X3Cutor thanks a lot mate. <3

[help] What means kitchen and ROM?

I'm really new to this and everywhere it says: ROMs and Kitchen and also ROM Kitchen and I can never find what a kitchen really is. If search Kitchen I find all these kitchen files which people created, but is it something where you flash your mobile with? Like my Xperia I flashed from version 1 to version 2 (RCAA2 or something).
But I don't know all these terms and maybe they are so easy that if you don't know it you can't find it anywhere. For example when I want to download WinMO 6.5 it says: Kitchen and ROM, but I don't know the difference and just wanted to flash my mobile (which is rather easy i thought)
So can someone tell me the difference?
in the kitchen developers cook the rom's
a rom is the program you flash to your phone to update it
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kovsky&redirectfrom=HTC_Venus
a rom is more a image that you flash to your device than a program
kitchen is the programm you need to cook a rom...
to cook a rom mean to create your own image for your device
Ah I see, thanks for the answers. I just updated mine to WM 6.5 looks good, but as my endless GPRS is starting in may I know still want to use NoData, which is not working, so i'm going back to generic.
Thanks for the answers I know have more of an idea of the meanings

[WM6.1 ROM] request - possibly new cook

Hello everyone in the Blackstone thread.
Since I bought my Touch HD I always wanted the defice to perform as best as possible. During the last year I have tried many many ROMs and I have to say - none was bugfree (found one almost perfect - for me . Some bugs could be easily left forgotten as these weren't anyhow cruical.
But some were just heavily noticeable. These were from the WM6.5 world - generally.
After starting to look on the stability and performace, I have realized WM6.1 is still the best system for Touch HD - very fast, no unneeded options, great response.
I am looking right now for the latest WM6.1 ROM with latest HTC Sense 2.1. Or preferably for someone who is still cooking in WM6.1 world for Touch HD. Unfortunately I cannot find one (Dutty's v4.3 FINAL is a little bit outdated, and that's the latest one I have found ;/ ).
Anyone knows about such person?
If not I am going to try my best to cook such ROM, so I would appreciate any comments if there would be anyone interested and/or anyone willing to help me to reach the point. I am avaliable to spend as much time as possible to get this done.
Please leave a comment if you find this interesting for you.
G
i know raptordin is doing that
w6.1 whit sense2.1
he said he is almost finished
so wait a little more he will post his rom
Look at the Topix thread, Kwbr has been cooking 6.1 roms for quite some time. His 3.1.2 rom is supposedly bugfree!
I'm not sure if he's gonna update it anytime soon though.
I have to agree after months of rom flashing with manila 2.5. wm6.5 and 6.5.1...I did an official rom flash and had a play with the old 6.1 and wow it was fast and highly responsive.
so yes I would also be interested in a 6.1 kitchen with manila 2.1
where do we find one
btw almost forgot
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=547278
it is discontineud and dont know where it is to the things from now but its 6.1 whit sense2.5
its sayd its usable for every day you could always test till the 6.1 whit 2.1 is out
Sorry, don't want Sense 2.5 (very slow on HD), only 2.1 - it's enough for me.
But thanks for recommendation
i think the final version of topix wm6.1 is what youre looking for.

Sorry but KWBR will not be updating his 6.1 version anymore he has moved to 6.5 and has sold his HD.
I constantly keep coming back to this KWBR 3.1.2 rom
So fast, so reliable and so much more suited to our Touch HD's
I can simply use my device as it was intended, quickly take a picture, quickly review it, phone works, sms sends, review ballistically fast, all software just runs, soft reset is extremely fast, wifi connects without fail, background all tabs is simple, loads of themes....
But occasionally I miss the glossy Manila 2.5 with all its fluffy weather animations, but not a lot
If I could find a Kitchen for the latest 6.1 I would start learning to chef myself
here is a kitchen with WM 6.1 and Sense 2.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=561056
unfortunately (for you) it's in ITA
Look on my signature...
Which kitchen?
OK, it seems I am going to build my own ROM. I would like to try to use some cooked ROMs as the base and continue from this point. Anyone knows how to proceed?
I have downloaded few kitchens already (jCEspi's, Ervius, osKitchen, PPCkitchen...) but having problems to use them properly. I haven't found any detailed howto yet, only some basics from the thread or attached readme files. So far "try-fail" style doesn't get me anywhere.
I would appreciate any help with some good howtos.
Thanks,
Gabriel
This might help

It maybe of help in getting started. Not sure if it contains a 6.1 Kitchen but Kwbr has compiled what would appear to be a great tutorial on how to cook.
kwbr tutorial isn't needed.
Basically all that is needed to cook - decompile ROM and compile it back (imgfstools, search in dev&hhack).
Kitchens is sometimes more pain than help for novice cook.
Cool, will get through these, thanks.
