One of the enticing features of the alternative Amon Ra recovery is the smooth trackpad scrolling.
Well, now you can have it, too, while keeping clockwork recovery.
Just rename this as PB31IMG.zip, copy it to the base of your sd card, and flash it via HBOOT. Requires S-off of course.

I thought It was in the Kernal but I flashed darch 710 OC over fresh 2.3.3 and it still works FWIW. Hope that helps your search.
Found out from PAPASmurf that it is in the framework.jar file. Kinda hope someone can create a zip file to enable this function.

Pull the framework.jar file from the new fresh rom and make it into a signed zip. I'd do it but I'm at work. This is for 270 degree rotation. Darchdroid does 360 and is probably in the framework.jar file as well. Just don't know if that can be used in most roms. Only one way to find out. Some one make the zips and try them. Again I'd be happy to do it but I'm at work and on my phone

Requirements:
- DK28 ROM with kernel that can run custom boot animations (Bonsai4All, ViperROM, etc)
- Ability to boot into ClockWorkMod Recovery (any version) and flash a .zip file
What is it?
- As requested by lazydazed, a working CIA boot animation (I ported fromTP2); I made a few modifications to my liking
- Won't overwrite your existing boot sound
- The preview plays pretty quick, but the actual speed on the device is appropriate
PREVIEW
Instructions:
- Download .zip to SD Card
- Flash in CWM (all versions of CWM supported)
Download updated 01/19/11 - now supports all version of CWM recovery

how about a tutorial thread?
I flashed it via Clockwork and it didn't show during bootup. I'm pretty sure I did everything right. I'll try reflashing. ACS DK28 Stock rom
I don't think acs' stok kernel supports custom boot animations out of the box. Maybe try one of the Bonsai roms or maybe swap thekernels and see if that does the trick

Correct, this (or any custom boot animation) will not run on a stock kernel.

I had wondered what kind of shutdown animation would fit. I was fooling around with the logo in After Effects seeing if there was a way I could make it disappear in a way similar to turning off an old tube tv set. Couldn't figure it out and moved on to other things.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I was thinking something simple like "Backing up Level 7 Encrypted Files" in green with a flashing command prompt. Then some cryptic text can fill off the command prompt. Maybe then some text could pop up saying something to the effect of, "Logging Off"
Just simple and secretive

Well I just spent the last two days learning how to decompile/compile framework. FUN STUFF *sarcasm* Anyways, here is the power menu and lockscreen mod for stock deodexed JL5.
UPDATE 1/10/2011 - Settings now has "Stay awake" option under Settings>Applications>Development
All links have been updated. For those who have already flashed I have included just the Settings.apk at the bottom of the page.
JL5 Power Menu & Lockscreens > DOWNLOAD
JL5 Berserk Power Menu & Lockscreens > DOWNLOAD
JL5 black and white icons version > DOWNLOAD
Instructions
1. Place zip of your choice on internal sdcard
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Flash zip to phone
4. Reboot
Click to collapse
This wipes the dalvik-cache so the first reboot will take about 5 minutes or so. I have made two versions. Both work the same, just one is themed to Berserk [<3].
Again, this is for stock deodexed JL5. Flash on other roms at your own risk. Be warned you will lose any theming you have such as accurate battery mods and such. Do not ask me to make an odexed version because it is not going to happen.
Thank you to Untermensch for his awesome write-up on the power menu mod as well as the lockscreens!
Thank you to Brick'd for advice that which helped in the compiling of the framework-res.
Thank you to S0niqu3 for the black and white icons
Enjoy Everyone!

Thanks! Appreciate the tip on the compression/heap size. I added your name to the OP. I meant to when I uploaded them but at 2am... Saw your reply in the other thread. After I changed those settings it would compile no problem; the hardest part was sifting through all the resource ids. Definitely took some trial and error before I started getting the pattern/location. Now I know why these things aren't posted right away lol.

I could probably make one with gray scale icons but it wouldn't look so nice with the blue heading. Let me poke around and see how to changed the power heading from blue to black. Would definitely make it look better.

There are probably some accurate batt mods in the themes section that you could flash, but you will most likely lose this mod.

Very nice. Has anyone who has this also flashed JDan's SBG themes the flying animations with battery?
I updated the OP with another version that has the older black and white icons. Figured I'd throw out a few options for ppl.
Minor update! Settings now has the "stay awake" option under Settings>Applications>Development. All links have been updated and I also added a flashable zip for just the Settings.apk for ppl who have already flashed. Enjoy!

How do I get the sense clock, I see o clock. Mine is completely setup, running very smooth, everything restored from google. All I am missing is the sense clock, FYI, nice fix getting the camera, that was the only reason I stopped with wes's rom. Everything else had worked to my liking. Great job!
EDIT: NVM, I figured it out, FANTASTIC!
everything running great! will be great later if you can get all the mt4g themes in there also. This rom just smokes! only thing I have noticed is that internal storage does not mount thru usb, and when i connect usb, it asks me am I sure I want to format my sd card. Weird. Im gunna keep it going though, am having no problems at all. I left stock kernel also, but I am sure I will update to ziggys 3/11 bfs wo havs eventually. Only the ROM was leaked; not the radio. There is a prior "leak" of a radio (5.06) available elsewhere in the Incredible Development forum but the "new" radio version will be 7.07, according to the PDF's in the Verizon website leaked on Monday.
What the "bugs" are delaying the OTA is anybody's guess; it could be the radio, it could be features of the ROM. Verizon Wireless is usually very fussy about this stuff (for the most part, notwithstanding all the issues with the original Sensation and Thunderbolt releases).
