Rooting does not allow non market apps, you need to enable sideloading. I think there is a program out there called one click decrippler that should do it. Look in the captivate development section for non market apps or sideloading
Woops, yes see post above
Hello, im little green about roms, and i have question..
yesterday i install on my dream CyanogenMod-6.1 and i love it,but there is no android market app?
why?
is there any chance to install it?
and why it isnt orginnally?
please help, cause i think it is important apps..
ps. i wrote here beacause i new and i cant write this post in topic about cyanogen
thanks for all answers!
A little while back Cyanogen had a scuff with Google and they said that they could not use Google Apps in their ROM. So in order to keep doing what they do, they make the ROM without the Google Apps. However, you need to download the Google Addon Pack (http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/files/file/124-google-addon-mdpi-tiny-20101020/). And you should be able to view the Cyanogen forums. I know if you download anything directly from them you need to be registered, but registration is free so you shouldn't have an issue.
Hello people,
First of all i'm new to this forum but i have a question.
I wanted to remove de music application from the notification bar, but i excidently removed the whole music.apk.
I didn't make a backup. I also read other threads about this problem but there's no real solution.
The easiest solution is to install a new music.apk. But i don't have that file anymore.
Can somebody post this file?
Thanks already!

My first question is related to a possible bug, I found that i cannot seem to download/purchase apps on the market.. is there anyone else having the same problem and is there a fix??

Did you try to clear all cache and info from Market app?
Posted previously in the wrong forum. Apologies.
Is there a simple way to switch versions of the stock email app? Is it a single .apk that I can replace, and if so, can someone tell me the directory.
This would be taking the stock app from an un-rooted Stratosphere (2.01.eh16) to a rooted G-Note. Or is there someplace to find previous versions of the stock email .apk?
