Hi all, its very weird, the keyboard won't work at all in the OS. Still when the device is turned off, and i press Up (on keypad) + Power it goes to bootloader, therefore the physical keyboard seems fine. Nonetheless it would not work in the recovery, so i cant use d-pad to update.zip root and other shtuffs ... Please, any suggestions would be really appreciated. I tried flashing several SBF's, nothing helped.
just reflash it from bootloader then nandroid back to your backup that you made in the last seven days.
same same
Hi!Help!! I have the same problem: keyboard is not working but I can enter to the bootloader mode by pressing joystick up and powering the device... Any solutions how to fix it?

I'm using Itje's Touch it v7 ROM, and I don't know, something f***ed up with the rom, don't know how. anyway, hardware keys on my X1 don't work, except the power button. Volume keys also don't work. Hardware keyboard won't type, I have to use on-screen keyboard. Tried to hard reset, but nothing happens, all the same. I can't even load the boot (multicolor) screen, to upload another rom (guess, it won't load because volume keys don't respond), using my power key and volume down key. Won't even hard reset while holding down power key and two silver keys....
any solution please?
thanks in advance
Dude Turn the phone off, Take the battery out for 30 seconds, Replace the battery and try entering the boot loader mode again. If Its not letting you do that then it will be a fault with the hardware not the rom. I think when you enter the boot loader mode, that does not rely on the rom.
I don't say it's the ROM, but I don't know what it is... No, taking battery out for 2 mins didn't help
try flashing using SEUS?
everything worked fine, i flashed a few roms, before I decided to use Itje's one. flashed via memory card method
as Fards was trying to tell you: try the other (SEUS) method to flash again. This way you don't need to use any of the buttons on your X1.
will try that, thank you guys

or alternatively any customRuu.exe
if you look in most custom roms install folder, they have several files including an app called "enterbootloader.exe"

Hi,
I just (Well about a month or two ago) bought my-self a motorola milestone then i really loved it...
Now just now, i wanted to change the battery icon for fun right... and then i downloaded the framework-res.apk and i replaced it in the system>framework... then I Kept on receiving a message saying launcher pro unresponive... and there was only on option FORCE CLOSE... so i did but it kept on showing up so bassically i couldnt use my phone... so i pulled the battery out and put it back in i then saw the (M) logo and i thought it was going to be fine... but right after 20-30 seconds. there was a light black screen and i waited there for 10 miutes and nothing happened...

Make a backup and try to re-apply the ROM's update.zip without wiping anything.

the problem is i can't show the phone on my computer because it needs to be turned on... And also, my power button is broken...Do you think there is another way to access my phone's system on my computer? :crying:
Pull the battery, connect the USB-cable, re-insert the battery and hold the x button while doing so.
This should take you to recovery and from there you can enable USB mass storage mode.

Thanks... But its stuck on the bootloop... I think im getting it fixed tomorrow though...
Thanks Anyways...
P.S: Although if you can think a way around the bootloop...
Try to enter recovery - either by holding X on the keyboard while powering on or pressing down on your D-Pad.
Recovery works, even if the Android system is bootlooping because it lives on a seperate partition.
You already did this before flashing the ROM.

I have done that but then, what do I do?
Just follow the instructions again - it's not that hard.
Press Volume Down and Camera to access menu, apply update.zip, then Open Recovery starts, and so on...
Blank Screen
Pulled battery and connected USB... WORKED!
Idk why, but a million thanks!
:good:

Hi. I was given a S5830 with a cracked screen and replaced the screen ok. I managed to root and unlock the phone fine but somewhere around this stage the phone started to constantly boot into safe mode.
It took me a while to figure out but eventually discovered the problem is the menu button, the phone seems to think I'm long pressing on it during boot, which starts safe mode. If I tap the menu button a few times during boot, it'll boot up normally.
At first I though this was just a dodgy touch screen, so bought another one from a different supplier and.... same problem.
I've tried checking all buttons cleaning all connections etc. I've reflashed a stock rom and tried it with cyanogenmod with the same result. Even when the touchscreen is connected but not attached physically to the phone it still does it.
I've ran out of ideas really. The only thing I can think of is when I first tried to root it with superoneclick it the program froze a few times before I tried a different method, not sure if that would have caused a problem, maybe with the kernal or something?
Any ideas welcome!

Hi Viper, thanks for replying.
I'm not sure what you mean by "the non touch menu button"?
The phone worked fine when I replaced the screen at first, it was only when I rooted and sim unlocked it that it started booting into safemode.
I've tried all the usual ways to get out of safe mode and if I tap the menu button while it's booting, it'll load fine.
Hi!
don´t know how but i fixed the issue. Think by using adb reboot recovery-everthing works fine now!

It's useful to others to leave the thread. Incidentally I found myself in this situation where my phone rebooted into TWRP with no touch response. It does every time I choose Shut Down with the USB cable plugged in. I was able to force a reboot by holding down all three buttons (power, vol up and vol down) for around 20 seconds.
Hi !!
Few weeks ago, i had the same problem and i didn't know what to do ! If you plug your phone turned off, it starts to TWRP but without touch response. I don't know if a setting or an update can change that (?).
The solution is to soft reset your HOM2 by holding power + volume up during 15sec it will start on android.
u have to flash right kind of twrp
i too faced this situation reflash with another version worked for me
So i installed the rooted stock download on my s-on SprHtc one m7 and the install was seemingly successful, but now my touch screen isnt working. i cant unlock the phone and when i press the volume keys i cant touch the slider, or slide the drop down menu down. when i try to restart the phone it hangs at the "1" count indefinitely it seems. any ideas as to what went wrong? to make matters worse, i usually back up my data on twrp and then port it to my laptop to save space, but now my laptop is having trouble recognizing my phone.

Sounds like you flashed a really old rom.
Flash a rom that is based on 3.xx.xxx.x or higher and make sure you are using the latest version of twrp.

Yeah that rom is old there was a Touch Panel driver update between 1.31.xxx.x and 3.04.xxx.x
btw the latest is 5.05.651.x so that will tell you how old the rom you flashed is.
You should be able to hold the pwr button until the lights stop flashing at that point it will be off or it will try to reboot.
If it's off press pwr until it starts to boot and hold vol down that will take you to bootloader.
If it reboots hold vol down to get to bootloader.

Keep holding power til the screen goes completely black
super freaking face palm. i thought that this was the stock rom for the latest sense. omfg. ruined by my own stupidity..
i cant hard reset my phone, attempting to let it die of battery loss and maybe i might be able to restart it in twrp.
will my touch screen work if its in twrp?

It's been a while but I think it will. If you can manage to get to bootloader you can update twrp.
Maybe try pwr + vol down to reset just keep holding both.

lol ninja'd
holding down the pwr and vol button isnt working..im just gonna have to let it die.
do you think the side load option will let me push my backup over to my phone?
assuming i can even use twrp, knowing my luck, i wont be able to access recovery..

Sideload very rarely works from what I've seen.
You could adb push the backup but I'm not sure if it would flash I've never tried.
A last resort is RUU and start fresh.
i managed to restore my phone, but im having trouble getting twrp to recognize that my backup is in the folder. i copied it back and it doesnt show up in recovery. is there anyway around this?
