Anyone know how to fix corrupt databases, nearly every app I have now force closes on startup and I understand that a corrupt database can cause this.

Recently, I started getting a "not enough storage available" error when trying to install Handcent either from the Market or using a Titanium restore. I know it's not a space issue because all other apps that I have tried install with no problem. I am using A2SD and have about 400 MB free. I have duplicated this error on multiple ROM's so it must be something on my phone. I searched and found something about permissions on *.so files in the lib directory but I don't know enough to fix it myself. Here is a pastebin of the error:
http://pastebin.com/33gKG5Db
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I know this is a stupid question but ur not trying to install when card is mounted to computer r u. Also what app2sd r u using, is ur ext partition full, I've also noticed this when I thought I had room then went in and deleated a few old nandroids and then it worked great.
I had the same problem.
Go to Applications
Somewhere in there, there is a handcent registry that is different than the normal handcent program.
Scan through everything, you will find something like com.sms.handcent. Uninstall that as well as the program and you should be able to install.

I see it under applications but every time I click on it I get a f/c on settings (I get the f/c if I click on anything under applications that begins with com.). Any way to do it through ADB? I checked system/sd/app and didn't see the com.handcent.nextsms to remove?

yep... I have had this problem with a couple of apps. The real fun is sometimes that directory is named something completely different then the application name. Then you have to guess at what it is and then check /data/apps to verify it has a missing apk.
In \system\app directory what is functionality (purpose) of the "DataCreate.apk"
what does it do?
what is the result of removing it?
before saying anything about searching read the below statement:
I've searched in google, XDA and other forums about this apk but none seemed to know what is it so I am going to ask here.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Inside the apk there is a sound file inside res/raw called mp3_1khz.mp3 which has very annoying sound any idea why does the app need this?
EDIT2: link to the mp3 file I was talking about http://www.mediafire.com/?2zay7j6xrlfyjs1
WARNING: The file is really annoying
Request: if the file is important can someone delete that sound file from the apk and re-upload it (JVH deodexed )
Google is watching us ? what the hell and why is there such a sound file in this ap p.... i delete it.... For me it is google spy ...

I deleted now and I am going to report if there are any negative consensuses
don't think that it is use (spying on us)
Ok
In first reboot (phone rebooted it self)
Second reboot (Email crashed)
EDIT: Doing some reboots and dalvik cache cleaning to see what will happen.
EDIT2: It seems that its needed for phone without it phone will reboot itself.
I though someone knew about this apk so I posted here.
I found what I wanted to know so this thread is officially CLOSED.
Conclusion for future reference this file is necessary for EACH boot.
However I could delete the annoying mp3 file which is 1.8mb by using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=681633
It's from Samsung. Have a look into classes.dex, there are lots of sample contacts (near the end of it). There are references to samsungtest. Maybe this app can be used to create demo or test data.
At the beginning of operation of mobile working to shut down all programs, as well as the system Reload this has worked for the old and new systems, but to no avail When you do a system does not delete anything from the data and programs Can I get a solution to my problem There is a section demonstrates the problem

When ever Zipalign is present on any ROM or Script I installed, I always get the bug where some applications in sd-ext just vanish after a reboot. They were like being corrupted, I can say that because I do find the main APK still on sd-ext but file size is not exact as how it was before (sign of file corruption).
I have come up to this Idea because I done a my part to do some trials on what happened and it came to point that deleting zipalign/70zipalign files from /bin or /init.d solves the problem.
Does zipalign really makes that bug? Why?
Hey bro, do you use any app2sd? S2e?
I am asking coz I had a similar issue before using s2e.. though I think that it was not related to zipalign.. but here's what I found, enabling read buffer on s2e settings corrupts the sd-ext. I usually resolve it by restoring sd-ext and data from nandroid backup. Then disable the read buffer.. might be a different case on your end..

What does Zipalign do, really?

In short, it optimizes the way your applications are accessed in such a manner your phone needs less RAM to run them.

It does not really corrupts the whole sd-ext, instead it somehow corrupts some applications and this applications are really specific, they always vanish. Those applications are PVZ, Jelly Defense, Guerilla Bob, Field Runner, Zombie Wonderland. Those are the applications that always vanish.
If its not Zipalign then why this apps dont vanish if I removed zipalign on the system. This is really odd.
maybe these apps are not align able as you are saying only some apps get corrupt
it should not be the fault script

Not really sure what's wrong or if it's a compatibilty issue. I am currently using CyanMobile with s2e, 303MB used out of 525MB on sd-ext.. no problems at all.. read buffer disabled on s2e settings..
Hi.
I have a problem, which I don't know how to solve.
Of course I had a root. I have installed busy box and trickster MOD in order to disable 3D scaling to boost some games like NFSMW (Actually, it worked!).
With no rebooting I tried to delete PlusOne.apk and PlusOne.odex from system/app to speed my phone (this app running in the background all the time usses the memory). I used Total Commander mounting R/W, but didn't unmount it.
Next I rebooted my phone.
First, it was stuck on Upgrading Android - optimizing apps (i see it for two seconds on every normal boot, so I thought it may take longer this time but after 10 minutes nothing happened). I tried to do a hard reset, and afer doing it, now, the phone is stuck on lg boot animation.
Could you help me solving the problem? Please tell me what was the problem that I can avoid it in future.

due to the fact that you've played around with your /system/ partition, you've got to reflash stock again...
So, what to do?

So, i have to flash the kdz ROM using this tut: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723 ?
I understand that deleting anything from there is not a wise idea, I won't make this mistake again?
But not unmounting r/w after mounting it, is ok? Nothing should happen if I didn't delete those files from system partition?

first, yes, you've got to reflash via kdz
second, of course you can delete stuff in /system/ partition BUT you need to know what you are deleting e.g. deleting SystemUI.apk is no good idea at all you can find a "safe list" here on xda in general section
third, unmounting is a part of the shutdown process, so it happens automatically i for one never unmounted anything
