[Q] MediaPlayer Question - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have an App that listens for broadcasts from the stock Android MediaPlayer (com.android.music.metachanged, for example). On Samsung devices (Galaxy S, TouchWiz, etc) I cannot figure out if a similar intent is being broadcast and, if so, what it is. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

[Q] DLNA/AllShare/Connected Home client for AT&T Fuze?

I'm considering the purchase of Samsung HDTV with Samsung's "AllShare" feature, which I understand to be based on DLNA. I'd like to be able to use Samsung's AllShare feature with my AT&T Fuze, but I am unaware of any DLNA client software for the Fuze or Windows Mobile phones in general.
From the Samsung website I learned that some Samsung branded Windows Mobile phones include an application called "Connected Home" that can be used to access the AllShare feature of the HDTV. I'm hoping that doesn't mean I have to buy a Samsung phone to use the AllShare feature of the TV because DLNA is standards-based. But I'm having a hard time finding out much information. I found one .cab on the Internet that was purported to be a Windows Mobile version of the "Connected Home" application, but it would not install on my Fuze.
Does anyone know of software that can be installed on a Fuze to interact with the AllShare DLNA feature a Samsung HDTV?
Hi there,
I have also the same trouble. I was searching the internet for 5 hours and i go crazy from that I didn't find anything about the allshare for WM phones.
Please can you post here that cab what you've found??
Thx

You need to modify the adapter and the ip
I found a good open source to use DLNA from Android and Win Mo
Here is the links, but i still have to try on my HD2 and Samsung TV, will let you know

[Q] NHL Gamecenter & TV Out?

Hi all,
I'm interested in acquiring a second hand Galaxy S, and just had one question.
I read somewhere that some apps are not compatible with the TV out functionality of the GS. Does anyone know if the NHL GameCenter app works with TV out (specifically are you able to watch videos and live feeds)?
I've attached the app for your convenience.
If anyone could test this out for me, it'd be much appreciated.
TV-out and your game
It is likely that if you had rooted your GTi9000, the TV-out will not work. The TV out only work with samsung Kies OS. It is not only your game, all other apps will not run if you rooted your phone. Or else the game should run on TV out.

AllShare Control app?

Typical Samsung, they have released a remote tv app for their Smart TVs called Allshare Control.
It installs (Play claims it is compatible with the Note), then flops with the usual bad grammar "AllShare Framework does not installed, the application will exit". S3 users claim some success.
Thanks Samsung - why can't you make products that integrate? Ever heard of product integration? It's when products you make actually work together?
But then again, this is Samsung. Silly me, of course they can't.
These are the people who convinced me to buy a "Smart TV" with apps, like a browser. Er, how do I type? With those big arrow keys on your tv remote, of course!
Ever tried to enter text using one of these? Absolute joke, no it's worse than that, it's some form of primitive torture. Practically fraudulent it's so awful.
Anyone anywhere know if there's a way we can get the Note to interact with a new LED Samsung TV, with or without AllShare Control? Can we hijack the AllShare Framework from an S3?
No replies - but found an answer, entirely unofficial but brilliant SamyGoRemote. Works pretty well for text input, which is the killer app for tv browsing. Recommended.

Hi, I have Samsung UE40ES6100, the "samsung remote" app works, but there is no keyboard, and the slide/mouse works too slow. The "sammyGo remote" app doesn't seem to discover the TV. Are there any alike apps you know ?
P.S. I have an xperia neo, but I don't think that could be the problem

[Q] Pi BMW Media Center W/Android

Heres my situation
I have a 2001 BMW 740i e38. I would like to keep the original display, but integrate a Raspberry Pi as the brains. I found a website that sells an interface that seems to take car of most of my needs.. http://pibus.info/index.html
Heres the question
Is there a way connect with my android via USB for music player, google maps, etc?
This is my first time trying a project of this magnitude, but I have been flashing devices since the HD2, so I do have the ability to at least follow step by step instructions with some mild trouble shooting.
Any help greatly appreciated.
PS
I also have an unused ATT Note II that would be really great to integrate into the system as a touch screen interface, maybe built into the armrest.
Thanks
