Hi All.
I've had my flashed severtal times with the new ROM and never had any problems with it (apart from ROM itself not being perfect).
Yesterday I've cooked myself a plain ROM and flashed phone with it. Flash took less than a minute and my phone isn't starting any more. I've checked NBH file and it's only 6 MB!
At the moment all I can do it to is to try to turn it on, it stops on the 'Smart Mobility' screen with red info on the bottom. Info reads:
R 1.14.25.24
G 52.64.25.34U
D 1.59.48753
When I start my phone with Vol Down button pressed it goes to tricolor and when I continue to hold Vol Down I get white screen with message: Loading: No Image File! showing on the screen briefly and back to tricolor.
No problem you say - flash another ROM. But at the moment my phone doesn't connect to my PC. Cable tested with another HTC - works. When I connect it I get USB on the screen but Flashing utility doesn't detect the phone.
When I try to Hard Reset the phone it just starts normally. So Vol Up + Vol Down + Power doesn't work at all. All I have is smart mobility and tricolor.
Info from Tricolor:
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.56.OliNex
MicroP-Blackstone (LED) v6
and on the bottom either Serial or USB.
Question is:
is there anything I can do to revive my phone? Is there any way to flash it without USB connection? If yes, how do I do it?
Thanks in advance,
There is a way of flashing from SD card if you have HSPL (you do... OliNex).
Please do some search...
if it displays usb in tricolor you can flash a rom with CustomRUU from there. its not bricked
Put BLACIMG.nbh on the root of your SD card and enter bootloader mode, it'll detect it and ask if you want to flash it - press power button to confirm.
Dont connect your phone to your computer.
Hold down the Volume down button and hit the power button.
Your entering the tricolor boot screen and at the bottom the word "Serial".
Now connect you phone to your computer with te USB cable the word serial disappear and now it says USB.
Now you can normally flash/update your phone.
Thank for all your answers.
Problem still lasts, tried everything I could, including trying another computer. I've tried SD card flashing but couldn't get past tricolor. Everytime I tried all I got was No image file! and nothing.
In desperate act of dying I've went to my neighbour and borrowed his old Win XP laptop and it worked... Currently flashing new ROM to it.
What I cannot understand is why my computer (iMac running Windows on parralels), my laptop (Win 7) and my second laptop (Win Vista) couldn't detect the phone. I've succesfully flashed it before using all three machines, including virtualized Win 7 on my mac :/
Any ideas why it stopped working? I'll try to connect it again when ROM will be fully flashed and let you know.
Thanks for your help anyway.
Cheers,
Why don't you try shipped ROM, it may do the trick.
Get the original shipped ROM from HTC site or from XDA site.
Extract the content in some directory
Rename ruu_signed.nbh to BLACIMG.nbh and copy it on root folder of your SD card.
Now start your phone holding Vol down button.
Fingers crossed to to start flashing
Hi again.
I can confirm that due to flashing my phone with that odd 6MB ROM I could not connect it to any computer running Windows Vista or Windows 7. Strangely enough - it worked with Windows XP Professional. I have managed to flash my phone again on it using custom ROM from this forum.

For some odd reason I can no longer get the the "serial" status to change to "usb". It charges but does not connect to activesync. I flashed many many times so I am not a noob at this but I might be making a noob mistake.
What I am using: SPL 1.54 (I use USPL 2.5). I am currently using Miri's v23 manilla 2.5. I am using the same pc (xp) and cables to flash.
What I've tried:
- used 3 different pc's and the original pc
- 4 different usb cables
- ticking/unticking the "enable faster data syncing" box in settings>connections>usb to pc
-ticking/unticking "allow usb connections" in activesync
-if I leave the cable in AND THEN put the phone in bootloader mode, the status is blank. When I remove the cable, it returns to "serial"
When the phone is on, it just doesn't seem to react (vista and xp)to the cable being plugged in. The led just shows that it's charging.
I pulled an all-nighter and I'm stumped.
Maybe you need to update the USB drivers. Same thing happened to me but it worked after updating the USB drivers as per this link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=524619
I forgot the most important part-
Since the pc does not recognize that there's something plugged in, I cannot select the "HTC USB Sync" under device manager and proceed with updating the drivers. I don't think I need to but at this point I'm trying everything.
Unless there's another way of updating drivers without the phone showing up on the device manager...
Updated the usb drivers by plugging in an old htc device. The pc was able to recognize the other htc device and was able to switch from serial to usb.
But after the update, there was no improvement for the blackstone status.
Anyone? The phone still doesn't recognize the usb cable whether the phone is on or in bootloader, it just charges.
Any help is appreciated!

Seems something wrong with your device. Try to hard reset and do it again?
Or if you still cant connect to usb. there is another way to upgrade without connecting to pc. After upgrade to new ROM, try it again whether it can connect to pc or not? Here is some tips for you.
Connect your SD card to PC through microSD card. Copy all files from your SDcard to new folder in your PC. Then, right click on the microSDcard disk-->full Format by FAT32 (this step is very important).
After formatting SDcard, copy back all files to SDcard . Rename .nbh to BLACIMG.nbh (for Blacktone) and copy it to SDcard.
Insert your SDcard back to Touch HD. Turn off your device by Power button.
Go to Boot loader mode. Push and hold Vol. Down + press Power button.
After that your device with have a white screen with text " Press to power button for continue upgrade" press power button and it will start upgrade Rom.
You can check this video for more practical actions on youtube.(this video for HTC diamond2 but it's almost the same with Blacktone just different in rename step)
Hope it helps and cheer
Thanks for the tips =)
I've did a hard reset twice and still no luck.
I've tried to flash through SD but since I use USPL, it just hangs when I try.
If I have SPL 1.54.0000, is there something that can be flash through the SD without USPL?

I have not tried this. I am on HSPL 1.56olinex but you can try my suggestion cause I think it's the only one you can choose now. I never ever use USPL. I think you can do it step by step and carefully.

About a year-ish ago windows stopped working on my spv3600 m700 Trinity. I looked into reflashing the phone & put a copy of schaps 4.30 striaght onto the fone no problems.
I now want to upgrade the rom again & can get it into the bootloader screen ok. My problem is that this is as far as I can get. I've even tried the minisd trick but I see loading box very briefly flash up on the screen & thats it...still in bootloader mode with serial but nothing else happens.
The fone is not bricked & if I reset it will load windows. I've tried the original flash & bootloader. Soft (SSPL) & hard Bootloader technique but to no avail.
Has anyone got any other solutions? Many thanks in advance, its sending me crazy!!
Ok I sorted the first problem of using SDcard to flash .MBH files. It was down to the miniSD card format not being FAT32. I reformat the card as FAT32 & then bootloader progressed to installation stage.
...now I have a new problem... i'm stuck in bootloader mode SPL 1.07.0000 IPL 0.50 after I used SSPL from my mobile in windows mode to get the 1.07ds override bootloader. This allowed me to flash the Radio to the latest chinese version. I then used this program again to Flash to windows 6.5 & then half way through it rebooted to the bootloader tricolour screen.
The problem is that now that windows is gone I can only run the standard bootloader SPL 1.07.0000 with the phone. If I try & upgrade a cooked ROM it comes up with an error code on the mobile. If I try an official version it checks the ROM & then says "not allowed".
Is there a way I can change the bootloader through the card SD? I can't either get the bootloader to change from serial msg to usb...doesnt matter how many times I plug in the USB & i'm using XP. Is there a way to force it into USB?
I've tried putting "Des crash proof SPL" ,"Hard SPL", "Hard SPL 1.20" onto SDmini card as TRINIMG.NBH bootloader loads then comes up with 00068002 error i presume on screen
I've tried putting official upgrades "RUU Trinity DOPODA SIA WWE...Ship.EXE rom" & "RUU Trinity HTC WWE .........GPS.exe rom" onto SDmini card as TRINIMG.NBH, bootloader loads, . . .checking, then displays "not allow" & "00028002" on screen! Now i'm really stuck!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
looks pretty much the same like my trinity right now...
help would be very appreciated
Solved.
Finally worked out why my phone would not change from serial to usb on the bootloader screen. Its all down to the power from usb lead...luckily I have a double usb lead which I use for an external hard drive. Two usbs plugged into my laptop provides twice the current...as soon as I used this lead tadaaa, the phone comes on & is recognised by windows xp even when its in bootloader mode. If you don't have a lead try using a different computer...just incase the usb output is crap!
From here I then ran the unbrick / exploit program which you have to run two/three times but then this will put the phone into a bootloader which allows you to flash the phone with any ROM.
Hope this info is of any help.

or try flash using SD card
Flashing Via MicroSD Card
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the Rhodium Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to RHODIMG.nbh
4. Copy the RHODIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.
cheers

Pheeew thats a relief panic mode off now
Thanks rosebud and indra9110 for your fast replies, I got it working rosebud's way.
I downloaded the rom again and it works perfect now,

Thanks again guys
Glad to hear your phone has come back to life

1-put customRUU and your rom file in the same folder on your PC
2-launch customRUU
3-put your phone on tricolor screen
4-connect your phone to your PC with the USB cable (your phone should displau "USB")
5-follow the instructions in customRUU
It is the same way that you use when you flash with activesync but this time you put your phone on tricolor screen yourself
just put your device in bootloader mode, then connect to PC, the device can identify serial or usb connection in bootloader mode.
Thanks soooooo much everybody, damn I adore this community......
This will help a lot in the future as i get to cook more and more and risk the bricking every time, thanks !!
Hi,
I have a Rhodium and so far I have successfully flashed a lot of Roms untill today...
I am trying to flash another Rom via ActiveSync, so I have connected my phone to my PC, than run the CustomRuu.exe like always, but I am stuck at 0%.
I decided to flash using the SDCard and renamed the ruu_signed.nbh to RHODIMG.nbh and than I´ve enter in the BootLoader Mode, the device tries to load the Rom, but I´ve got a white screen saying "loading..." and stays like this forever.
I cannot even HardSPL the device. I run the Rhodium-HardSPL_V2_00R3.exe but i can not get the device properly synced.
I though I had an internal memory problem so I´ve formated it using a new tool found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...12&postcount=1.
But now I´ve lost everything and I can not flash any Rom with activesync, always the same problem, stuck at 0% and then the message - "Error [276] : update error.", and if I flash from SDcard a white screen saying "loading..." and stays like this forever.
EDIT:
Can not HardSPL automatic flash, because could not get the device properly synced.
Can not HardSPL with Manual flash, stuck at 0% and then the message - "Error [276] : update error.#
Any help please.
Thanks

Then I assume you already have hard-spl on your device installed. So trying to install it again will fail.
*Go into BootLoader Mode (do a Soft Reset while holding the "volume down" key on the left side of the device. Keep holding the "volume down" key until you see tricolour screen which is the bootloader mode, then release it) and verify the screen shows 0.85.OliNex, which is the HardSPL version* Is this the hard-spl version that you have?
You didn't mention which rom you tryed to flash. Did you try other roms?

Thanks for your reply,
Yes , you are right I have already HardSPL installed - SPL-0.85.0linex.
I have tried several Roms even the Rhodium stock Rom. If I flash via activesync I get stuck at 0% and if I flash from the SDCard (RHODIMG.nbh) I get a white screen saying "loading...." with no action.
This is strange as I´ve flash so many roms so far
Have you reset both your device and computer before connecting?
Just leave it in Bootloader mode and connect it to your computer and then try flashing.
As long as you put the device in bootloader mode, you do not have to get it to sync. I've done this many times when a flash didn't go right for some reason (like I forgot something when I cooked it ).

I did both things with no luck.
I have put the device in bootloader mode connected to the computer then I´ve run the customRUU.exe but I am always stuck at 0%
This is the info I have in the tricolor screen:

TURBO HW/TURBO SW
TP MFG DATA

I will put the device in the AC power all night to see if this is a battery issue.

I would try this first as posted by jeanrivera.
Also maybe you're customruu is somehow broken? Try downloading a new one. Also I don't know if it helps but when you flash via customruu do you have the image named ruu_signed.nbh? I don't know if it matters what kind of name it has, but it's just a thought
