Messed up device after bad flash - XPERIA X1 ROM Development

I messed up my device after cooking a defective rom "I confused some folders", and now my phone stays at the sony ericsson logo.
I don't have and mmc reader in order to put a rom on it.....Can I flash the x1 through the pc on the bootloader screen??
I never do this but this time I'd really appreciate a quick response

Yes you can do it
I had to do it several times when my PC shutdown during flash...

how plz ??....cuz i read how to flash using pc with the update utility but it seems I must first connect through activesync....tell me how you do it plz

Hold the power button down and the volume down button at the same time you will see tri-colored screen...plug into computer run customruu follow prompts...

1-put customRUU and your rom file in the same folder on your PC
2-launch customRUU
3-put your phone on tricolor screen
4-connect your phone to your PC with the USB cable (your phone should displau "USB")
5-follow the instructions in customRUU
It is the same way that you use when you flash with activesync but this time you put your phone on tricolor screen yourself

just put your device in bootloader mode, then connect to PC, the device can identify serial or usb connection in bootloader mode.

Thanks soooooo much everybody, damn I adore this community......
This will help a lot in the future as i get to cook more and more and risk the bricking every time, thanks !!

Serial V2.05 after an upgrade failure, can't reset, can't get out of the boot loader

HI,
because pluging in the usb cable into my laptop caused it to shut down I tried to perform an upgrade (BA_TMUK_14200_112_11300_Ship.exe) of my tmobile mda III over bluetooth.
The device was connected and after the first screen of the upgrade process the computer lost connection with the device and since then all I see on screen of my mda is Serial v2.05.
I got a powered usb hub and connected the device thorugh it to my computer, but windows doesn't recognise it anymore as a pda, but just as an unknown usb device.
I tried hard reset of the mda (camera+power+reset) and I tried to exit boot loader mode (rec+power+reset) but nothing happens.
Please help me, I am desperate.
Thnx
what the hell have u done?
upgrading via Bluetooth? have u read the wiki before upgrading? ofcourse upgrading via bluetooth will not work. ull definitely lost connection even suspending the device how much more if the device is in bootloader mode? how sad.... try it again and this time use maupgradeutnoid.exe..turn your device into bootloader mode, kill activesync..put ur device in the cradle wait till the pc recognizes the device..(something like your device is now ready for use) and then click maupgradeutnoid.exe..remember just wait till the pc recognizes your device, don't click the maupgradeutnoid.exe immediately after putting the device in the cradle cause that will not work..this time read the wiki page mate..
next option
With the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe I get error 150:romupgrade utility error
and with the BaUpgradeUt.exe I get error 100:connection error
(I read the wiki now
What else can I do?
If I connect my blueangel directly to my laptop, the laptop shuts down, so I have to use a hub.
What else can I try?
ok...
what can u see on the screen of ur device once u put the device to cradle..(serial to usb?) ok. remember, once u put ur device in the cradle and if u want to use maupgradenoid.exe for the first time, u have to wait at least a minute before u activate or click the maupgardenoid.exe.. another option is to use mtty.exe.. just search mtty in this site and ull fine the procedure on how to use that utility..once done, u can start upgrade ur device to ur desired rom..or try update ur device to ur shipped rom using BAUpgradeUt.exe to avoid that error100.. unless u have already upgrade ur device to different roms before.
screen
when I connect it to the usb cable it says serial
ohh..
maybe there something wrong with ur device or the cable ur using. have u tried using the usb cradle instead? putting ur device in the crdle or connect it using usb cable (bootloader mode) the Serial should be changed to USB..otherwise t u get the connection error and u can't upgrade ur device for that..

flash interupted

was flashing and some one caused a communication error- . tried to recovery but was unsuccessful, now iall i see is run, green, blue, and white. is this what you called bricked. what can i do???
No, it is not bricked, with a bricked Wizard you can't either charge or power on it.
Just get another computer with ActiveSync installed (preferably a Notebook computer), and try RUU again.
And MAKE SURE you have already CID-unlock (NOTE: CID unlock is NOT SIM unlock) before flashing custom ROMs, otherwise follow the stickies to flash the Button's ROM and unlock it before proceed.
help
how can i try RUU????
i´ve also my 9100 with 3 colors , but when i connect to activesync they don´t recognize it.

Activesync doesn't work in Bootloaders (multi color screen),but you can flash the phone in Bootloaders mode. While in Bootloaders (Multi color screen),hook your phone with pc via usb cable and watch small usb appear at the bottom of the Bootloaders mode,it confirms connectivity with pc and run the RUU in the Rom ,it'll start to flash. Let it complete and phone will reboot and start to work normal.
I´ve tried several times to run the RUU_Wizard_225111_22511102_022511_CWS_WWE_Ship_1 but the application says that there isn´t no phone connected.
what i´m i doing wrong?
thx

While in the boot loader (tricolour screen)
- Copy your RUU_Signed.nbh ROM file to the CustomRUU folder (where you have ROMUpdateUtility)
- Run "ROMUpdateUtility.exe"
- Connect your phone to the PC, text at bottom in tricolour screen will change from Serial to USB
- Follow on-screen instructions, loading bar shows on PC & phone

Cannot get serial to usb in bootloader

For some odd reason I can no longer get the the "serial" status to change to "usb". It charges but does not connect to activesync. I flashed many many times so I am not a noob at this but I might be making a noob mistake.
What I am using: SPL 1.54 (I use USPL 2.5). I am currently using Miri's v23 manilla 2.5. I am using the same pc (xp) and cables to flash.
What I've tried:
- used 3 different pc's and the original pc
- 4 different usb cables
- ticking/unticking the "enable faster data syncing" box in settings>connections>usb to pc
-ticking/unticking "allow usb connections" in activesync
-if I leave the cable in AND THEN put the phone in bootloader mode, the status is blank. When I remove the cable, it returns to "serial"
When the phone is on, it just doesn't seem to react (vista and xp)to the cable being plugged in. The led just shows that it's charging.
I pulled an all-nighter and I'm stumped.
Maybe you need to update the USB drivers. Same thing happened to me but it worked after updating the USB drivers as per this link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=524619
I forgot the most important part-
Since the pc does not recognize that there's something plugged in, I cannot select the "HTC USB Sync" under device manager and proceed with updating the drivers. I don't think I need to but at this point I'm trying everything.
Unless there's another way of updating drivers without the phone showing up on the device manager...
Updated the usb drivers by plugging in an old htc device. The pc was able to recognize the other htc device and was able to switch from serial to usb.
But after the update, there was no improvement for the blackstone status.
Anyone? The phone still doesn't recognize the usb cable whether the phone is on or in bootloader, it just charges.
Any help is appreciated!

Seems something wrong with your device. Try to hard reset and do it again?
Or if you still cant connect to usb. there is another way to upgrade without connecting to pc. After upgrade to new ROM, try it again whether it can connect to pc or not? Here is some tips for you.
Connect your SD card to PC through microSD card. Copy all files from your SDcard to new folder in your PC. Then, right click on the microSDcard disk-->full Format by FAT32 (this step is very important).
After formatting SDcard, copy back all files to SDcard . Rename .nbh to BLACIMG.nbh (for Blacktone) and copy it to SDcard.
Insert your SDcard back to Touch HD. Turn off your device by Power button.
Go to Boot loader mode. Push and hold Vol. Down + press Power button.
After that your device with have a white screen with text " Press to power button for continue upgrade" press power button and it will start upgrade Rom.
You can check this video for more practical actions on youtube.(this video for HTC diamond2 but it's almost the same with Blacktone just different in rename step)
Hope it helps and cheer
Thanks for the tips =)
I've did a hard reset twice and still no luck.
I've tried to flash through SD but since I use USPL, it just hangs when I try.
If I have SPL 1.54.0000, is there something that can be flash through the SD without USPL?

I have not tried this. I am on HSPL 1.56olinex but you can try my suggestion cause I think it's the only one you can choose now. I never ever use USPL. I think you can do it step by step and carefully.

[PROBLEM] Bricked my Blackstone

Hi All.
I've had my flashed severtal times with the new ROM and never had any problems with it (apart from ROM itself not being perfect).
Yesterday I've cooked myself a plain ROM and flashed phone with it. Flash took less than a minute and my phone isn't starting any more. I've checked NBH file and it's only 6 MB!
At the moment all I can do it to is to try to turn it on, it stops on the 'Smart Mobility' screen with red info on the bottom. Info reads:
R 1.14.25.24
G 52.64.25.34U
D 1.59.48753
When I start my phone with Vol Down button pressed it goes to tricolor and when I continue to hold Vol Down I get white screen with message: Loading: No Image File! showing on the screen briefly and back to tricolor.
No problem you say - flash another ROM. But at the moment my phone doesn't connect to my PC. Cable tested with another HTC - works. When I connect it I get USB on the screen but Flashing utility doesn't detect the phone.
When I try to Hard Reset the phone it just starts normally. So Vol Up + Vol Down + Power doesn't work at all. All I have is smart mobility and tricolor.
Info from Tricolor:
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.56.OliNex
MicroP-Blackstone (LED) v6
and on the bottom either Serial or USB.
Question is:
is there anything I can do to revive my phone? Is there any way to flash it without USB connection? If yes, how do I do it?
Thanks in advance,
There is a way of flashing from SD card if you have HSPL (you do... OliNex).
Please do some search...
if it displays usb in tricolor you can flash a rom with CustomRUU from there. its not bricked
Put BLACIMG.nbh on the root of your SD card and enter bootloader mode, it'll detect it and ask if you want to flash it - press power button to confirm.
Dont connect your phone to your computer.
Hold down the Volume down button and hit the power button.
Your entering the tricolor boot screen and at the bottom the word "Serial".
Now connect you phone to your computer with te USB cable the word serial disappear and now it says USB.
Now you can normally flash/update your phone.
Thank for all your answers.
Problem still lasts, tried everything I could, including trying another computer. I've tried SD card flashing but couldn't get past tricolor. Everytime I tried all I got was No image file! and nothing.
In desperate act of dying I've went to my neighbour and borrowed his old Win XP laptop and it worked... Currently flashing new ROM to it.
What I cannot understand is why my computer (iMac running Windows on parralels), my laptop (Win 7) and my second laptop (Win Vista) couldn't detect the phone. I've succesfully flashed it before using all three machines, including virtualized Win 7 on my mac :/
Any ideas why it stopped working? I'll try to connect it again when ROM will be fully flashed and let you know.
Thanks for your help anyway.
Cheers,
Why don't you try shipped ROM, it may do the trick.
Get the original shipped ROM from HTC site or from XDA site.
Extract the content in some directory
Rename ruu_signed.nbh to BLACIMG.nbh and copy it on root folder of your SD card.
Now start your phone holding Vol down button.
Fingers crossed to to start flashing
Hi again.
I can confirm that due to flashing my phone with that odd 6MB ROM I could not connect it to any computer running Windows Vista or Windows 7. Strangely enough - it worked with Windows XP Professional. I have managed to flash my phone again on it using custom ROM from this forum.
Cheers,
