The only thing that will change when this is applied is your battery will now display with a %.
Apply stockwithpercent.zip in Clockwork recovery.
Must have a de-odexed rom installed.
Everything seems to work fine.

Is there any way to get JUST the battery percentage without the battery graphic? I removed the graphics for this type of mod on my nexus, but the text size was rather small.
If it isn't too much trouble, could you make one with just a larger percentage with no graphic?
Just flashed it but percentage is stuck at 100%. Any ideas why?

Does this do single digits or just the 100/80/60/30/15/0?

Definitely 100/80/60/30/15/0. That's why I thought it was stuck at 100.
Is it possible to get a single digit one?

single digits and this mod would be excellent. is it possible?
That's bizarre I had a 24 percent when testing so I was under the impression it was working....anyways will have another release out soon and also a just percentage option will follow shortly.

Sweet man im looking forward to it maybe i can get rid of my battery indicator.
BTW does this need any special app for the percentage to work?
v2.3 fixes battery charging animations, and correctly displays battery level when unplugged. Enjoy!
@ davidrules7778: No it does not require a special app only that you are running a deodexed rom.
Dude your awesome thanks so much worked perfectly on Noobnls rom and fluff kernal. With no touchwiz.
EDIT: Spoke too soon got a crap load of force closes. Is this rom not deodox? I assume i need touchwiz correct?
That is strange I am running Andromeda 1.0.3 with mixup kernel and it is working fine. This installs touchwiz if you removed it, but touchwiz can be disabled through settings as usual.
Is anyone else having problems?
Working GREAT for me on Andromeda 1.0.3.
Crake001 - If it's ok with you, do you mind if I post the zip for the circle mod (your work from above combined with the icons from Fightspit's Super Circle Mod) so you can add it to your original post for those who prefer the circle mod and don't know how to change it?

HMM Maybe. IDK tho i dont feel like it. I might when i get off work. If i have time. i have a feeling tho u need touchwiz to make it work tho. Probaly needed framework. Kinda like the Mobile ap mod. You have to be stock to have.

Andromeda doesn't format your data, so installing should keep things like they are just will probably fix your system.
Then just install this theme over that.
Should take about 2 minutes tops.

ya i know that however it puts touchwiz back on. And all the other crap i took off. and im just lazy and dont feel like removing them again.
Well since the first time i tried this i had to restore my data and lost some stuff cause i was getting infinity force close screens and the only way to turn off was remove the battery. So once i get my thing back i will do a new backup and then ill test it. BTW in the advance restore what should i restore to remove this stock battery thing without having to do all? Ive tried System and still got the force close. Would it be boot, data or the other one? Cause i did all and lost game saves apps and more cause i forgot to backup my new setup.

Hey there,
I found these icons on the desire forum and I was wondering if anyone could port them for our Heros. Especially the battery % with 100 power levels. I think it looks better than the Circle battery one. Also it has a few really cool icons.
So is it possible to port this mod?

It is possible and I can give it a go for you. I'm going to post at the original to make sure the OP is ok with it first. What ROM are you using?

hey guys, i have the first draft ready now (after messing up my ROM and not getting any sleep last night from restoring backups...), thanks to Summered for tips and Daneshm90 for REALLY handy scripts. I'm just going to get some lunch and will do up a VR12 version. Please make sure you have backups, nothing should go wrong as I have managed to get the update.zip way working. I also have yet to hear back from jercik if this is ok.
I have recreated all the images and used the standard DroidSans font for the text. Will need you guys to tell me if you think it's not readable
brb with download links
Edit: Ok here are the download links for VR12 (Please try flashing the original one FIRST to make sure the update script etc works fine and please make sure you have a nandroid backup and Titanium just in case )
modified - (please see new thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=762372)
Can you guys let me know what you think? Does it flash fine? Is the text readable? I want to get these right before I create updates for other ROMS (and try my hand at the other icons)
Note: Both of these are derived from the 'original' framework-res.apk from VR12 (I took it straight from the download. I hope that is ok???) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715728) and they will overwrite any changes you may have made yourself. If you have made changes let me know and I get give you my email address for you to send me your framework-res.apk file.
Good luck
Edit: After playing around with flashing the update script (really want to nail this process down...) it appears that it doesn't apply this properly unless you wipe the battery stats before flashing. I guess it makes sense.
What's the difference between the original and modified? Thanks
I flashed it and it worked fine without wiping the battery stats. Afterall I don't think battery stats have anything to do with the appearance of the icon.

The original is the one that comes with the ROM and the modified is the one i changed. it's handy to have the original on the sdcard in case the modified doesn't work you can reflash the original.

thanks for the answer I wasn't sure.
I just flashed it over Super circle battery mod under VR12.
Works like a charm, battery shows numbers in it
Everything is clear, and easy to read.
I was a bit sad, that none of the other icons were ported, I was kinds hoping that I will have nice colours
So to sum up - works great
With regards
brat.haneq
It's really good. Can you port the other icons too?

Thanks I will start working on the other icons soon (I am assuming you mean the otheres that jercik has done?). I have made another version of the battery icons using the clocktopia font. if I upload them would you mind testing and see if its nicer to read? i think it is
thanks again.
I don't mind testing it. Thanks to nandroid you can go back anytime you want. But something tells me I won't have to. You're doing excellent work.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Edit: Ok here is a new update I have kept the same font as the previous one (will leave the other one as you all seem happy with it ) and added new ones for charging. Please let me know how it goes. Also just so you guys know I'm not on VR12, I'm on the standard but rooted 2.1. So I am testing on that and then copying the necessary files over to the VR12 framework. So I am kinda doing it a bit blind :/
Hopefully the charging icon is smooth, my phone has too much charge to test the whole range. If needs be I can add more steps
(please see new thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=762372)
Yep. It's smooth. Keep going mate.

It is a full Aosp build and not just the theme. Its built from jt1134's source
Currently this is based off the same source as JT's vanilla

Battery Percentage works now.
I got my vendor overlay on github if anyone wants to look at it.

If you are coming from a touchwiz rom be sure to wipe data and cache.
Some other notes:
I havent gotten the Gingerbread wallpapers in the build yet. I will eventually when I have time. For now just use NexusKang from the market. The free version has the gingerbread wallpaper.
Kernel is no longer included in this build since voodoo is out. Flash one of the kernels below along with the rom.

Im working on enlarging the battery icons to work with percentage. We shall see how it goes.
Well at least I won't have to do my own now
If you do manage to enlarge the battery icons, I'd like to request the option for non-enlarged as well (via spare parts or whatever). Your theme of course, just thought I'd ask. I never really use the battery % numbers.

I did get them enlarged but I didnt enlarge them very much at all only enough to be able to use the battery percentage on the smallest size. Im not sure about having it as an option in spare parts. I dont know how much that would entail.
Heres the old and new battery icons so you can see the difference.
If nothing else I can give you the pngs for the smaller one...you would just have to drop them in the framework before flashing

Sorry about that, I have been working on this since this morning at 05:30 and had problems getting the theme to work other than as a full rom. Your a true gentlmen Thanks
Works great thanks
How can you change the power control settings
I want air plane mode/wifi/GPS /auto dim
Great work. Now I can enjoy Sense weather widget and Gingerbread look framework at the same time, lol.
The only problem that I'm running into is that when watching YouTube I will select the back button the phone will freeze and a battery pull is needed, this does not happen the first time but like after 3-5 times of watching a YouTube video and then hitting the back button.
I had these issues with Retrokid223s newer themes, I think it has to do with the transition animations

Which kernel are you using. I had this problem with Teslo Coil using Iso. Kernel but now I am on BAMF1.6(best battery life) and it I have not gotten any freezing that required battery pull.

Can you provide the link for the bamf 1.6 kernel
I had the same problem
Try continuously watching YouTube videos and selecting back and watching another video and select back again, I'm currently running a Ziggy kernal but have had this issue ever since Retrokid223 came out with his newer releases

How about every 1% theres an increment? ok jk, how about every 5-10% in battery life goes down, another incremement? Thanks, it really does look nicer with the icons on my gtab flashback 10
Thanks so much for this! Installed and running perfectly on Flashback 10.0!
Out of curiousity, do you know why the "shadow" behind the status bar menu has moved to the left from the edge of the screen? (See screenshot 2 in OP.) I don't believe it was like that prior to flashing this.
Also, I tried to get the battery icon swapped out to a circle type with 100 increments, and only ended up frustrated (probably because it was my first stab at it). Tried swapping XMLs, loading the PNGs to different folders, UOT Kitchen, etc. Just don't know how to make the G Tab get the new icons for all of the new increments.
works great on gtab comb 3.3! Thanks

Honeycomb doesn't support the 1% battery increments. And yes i do, it's because the screen density on the gtablet for honeycomb is 120, but usually on honeycomb it is 160. I will try to fix that.

Don't know if you've had any time or luck with this, but I wanted to share that I just reloaded Flashback 10.0 from a wiped clean tablet, and the notification "shadow" was actually not there at all. So maybe there is a way to just turn it off or remove it from the framework? I'll dig around and see if I have any luck. If you know where it is exactly and/or what it's called, let me know.
Thanks again.
Hello,
sorry for the noob question. Do you just go to CWM and install the zip file through there? Just like installing ROM?
Looks cool and many thanks.

Thanks for the quick response. How do you go back if you decided not to use this theme? I'm on Flashback 10.0.
Thank you again for your help.
I just made a backup in CWM (standard process for any changes I make to a Rom). If you don't like it just restore in CWM and you're back to right before you installed it. (I'm also on Flashback 10.0.)

Just curious, if we don't do a clean install on Flashback, since mine has been pretty stable, do you know how to fix the shadow behind the status bar like was mention in this thread?
Many thanks/
