Theres nothing we can do, your phone has 3 button recovery mode disabled, you need to bring it back to shop/repair centre for them to fix it.

Some later phones dont have the 3 button mode automatically enabled. It sounds like its stuck in a boot loop. Try pulling the battery and see if that works. If not connect it to your desktop and see if the computer detects it. If it does you might get out the woods yet.
If it does go to this page and download the applicaton.
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...t-samsung-galaxy-s-i9000-with-a-single-click/
Run the app and select root for 2.1. Hopefully it will reboot into Recovery mode. From there you should be able to apply the update.zip and reboot.
Good luck
Hi All - while in the process upgrading from the previous version of MIUI to this latest one, I accidentally selected the 'restart system option after formatting the system, cache and data without flushing the new ROM and now the phone won't boot up. It goes to the main Galaxy S screen followed by Galaxy S Glitch screen then it runs some coding (in seconds so i don't know what is says) and then back to main Galaxy screen in a loop.
What I have tried
> Going to recovery mode with vol up + home + power button (released @ first Samsung Screen) but then it goes back to second Galaxy S Glitch screen in the same loop.
> Going to download mode with vol down + home + power button and it does the same as going into recovery mode.
> Tried to do go into recovery and download mode multiple times using different combinations of vol up, vol down, home and power button without success.
> Read through the threads here but I was not able to find anything with the same or similar problem problem
> I tried to follow the help provided by Thyrador on this forum

> Connecting phone to ODIN keeps on going rebooting in the phone in a loop as well.
I know if I can go into recovery mode I will be able to flush the new ROM but getting there is the problem.
I would appreciate your help with this and hope there is a fixable solution.

I have done that a few times and both CWM and download mode should be there.
Make sure everytime you try the 3 buttons you actually remove the battery before trying.
K.
Edit: the coding you are talking about is CWM trying something and that's shy I think it is still there.
Did you just format system?

Thanks for your response
I actually formatted the system, data and cache without flushing the new ROM.
I tried what you said about removing the battery but that didn't show anything on the screen when I tried the 3 buttons. Is that what you meant?
cheers

What I meant was a bit dumb as since you have a bootoop you would have removed the battery anyway each time to try.
I normally flash the same way like you and I always do a factory reset (which formats Data and cache and I do the system manually. Unless soemthing has gone seriously wrong I don't see why you would not be able to get back to recovery?
I have even done it today actually and managed to go back to recovery.
I would say try and boot into download mode. Did you use Download Mode in the past? Are you sure it is there?
I read somewhere else someone saying that it does not always work the first time. Give it a few tries.
Your last option would be the JIG obviously but hopefully you should be able to get it sorted without.
K.
To tell you the truth I always use an app to boot the phone into recovery or download mode however one of my work colleagues has always being able to reboot my phone into any of these modes using the three buttons - not sure how. I will continue to try anyway.
Thanks again for your response and for give me hope that this has happened to you in the past.
cheers
Well title pretty much says what my problem is. I know there are topics that are pretty similar to this one and I read them, tryed them all and I still cannot make recovery mode on my phone work. My best guess is that network from which i bought the phone locked that somehow?
Here's what I've tryed:
Recovery Mode:
With the phone powered off
Turn phone on, while holding power button and pressing back button as shown in video below (start at watching at 0:40)
/watch?v=kReGHJw0elo
I dont think this way (below) is a proper way of entering recovery mode. Anyways i've tryed it:

I used this method and resolved the problem. Thanks
Recovery Mode:

UnPlug the USB cable.
Turn the phone on it’s side and use both thumbs to hold (left thumb) Vol Up and (right thumb) Vol Down
Press and hold the power button with your right index finger til you see "Virbant" release the power button and it should be on the recovery screen.

I also tryed with battery out and cable on but all other things that I've tryed sounds more like witchcraft than anything else. So is it possible that network disabled recovery mode and what do you guyz think I should do? Tnx in advance.

Recovery doesn't come preinstalled with phone! You have to install it via flashtool!
First, you need to have root access.
Then, you can install a recovery, I´d recommend you to install Dual Mode Recovery (use the search button, because then you can have both recoveries.
After that, you can enter CWM recovery with touching the screen repeatedly while it´s showing you the white "Sony Ericsson" logo, and you can enter xrecovery by pressing any button repeatedly
Kernel
I have rooted my Xperia X8 and flashed kernel nAa on it, but I can't get in recovery mode no matter what I try..

press back button for few times to enter CWM Recovery in nAa's kernel.
note: you can't successfully flash kernel into your X8 when you only have rooted your device. you need to unlock bootloader! read these threads!

for first u can't boot up to recovery. cause sony doents have default recovery. u must install manual, xrecovery/cwm recovery. u can install it with x8tool, flashtool, or manualy pushing to /system/bin folder.

Use search before posting anything. X8 recovery has two or three types. Dual mode is to either tap the screen and back button. Most recovery is back button.

1. Power off device (pull batt)
2. Press and hold Vol+ button
3. Press and hold Power button
4. Release Power as soon as the big Samsung Galaxy S logo appears
5. Release Vol+ as soon as the recovery menu appears
This always works. Did you install Faemod?
If you are getting into Ramdump Mode you must be holding the Home button too...
For all this: please use the Q&A thread or CWM recovery thread for questions. Do not open new topics, they pollute the forums. And also definitely read the wiki, this is all explained in there...

That all depends on whether you want to continue "the legal way" or fix it yourself using stuff you find here. When a Kies upgrade fails I would go to the reseller where you bought the device to get it fixed. If you really want to do it yourself for whatever reason, find yourself a new ROM that belongs to your device (what was you ROM version before you started the upgrade?) and install it through ODIN. That will fix it...

All right.
It all started when I was going to download new firmware via Kies. Got stuck at 3%, tried recovering firmware through kies, still stuck at 3%. Tried another computer with recovery code. Didn't work at all. Called Samsung support, they showed me the forced recovery but it still doesn't work. When I do the [Vol+]+[Power]+[Home] (which is what Samsung support told me) it shows "RAMDUMP MODE,Cause:Force Upload". When I do the [Vol+]+[Power]-combo it goes into the [Phone--Exclamation Mark--Computer]-sing (Does that sign have a name? Like BSOD or RROD?).
So now I'm at the same crossroad as the last guy.
No matter what button-combinations I use I end up stuck (One time, don't know what buttons I pressed. It showed the Android-bot with the text "Downloading... Don't turn off target" (or "Don't unplug device" don't remember). I think it must be because it was in the middle of a firmware upgrade when all of this started).
So my question is what do I do now?
I can't go the legal way because I can't find my receipt and the store say "Without a receipt we can't do nothing".
I can't go directly to Samsung support because they say "Oh we're not quite sure, go to the store".
I don't know if I can install a new ROM through Odin since I don't know what ROM I had before the firmware upgrade.
(I'm a noob, I'm the kind of guy who, as long as it works, don't know what ROM I have installed).
Anyhow, if anyone out there have any idea what I should do I'd be very thankful.
I've already clicked the thank you-button on all the helpful posts in this thread.

Hey I entered into a SAFE MODE where all the applications were gone.
This happened to me after a sudden reboot by the system.
Please throw light on how to enter this mode and how it works !!!
I don't think there is such a mode, unless... your /data/ is somehow gone?
There was such a mode on GB, and probably still is on ICS.
Dr.Ketan said you could enter the safe mode by either frequently tapping the menu button or keeping it pressed (can't remember which now) while your Note is booting.
