Oh nevermind bro! Found a solution to this.. Had to delete the boot animation and recover it back from OCLF and then the option to lag fix shows up!
Thanks for your help anyway
Click on unavalilable option ando you will receive an information about the reason of your problem. If there is no space in system, you may remove some files, using root explorer, and get free space in system to run lagfix.
Bye.

How about deleting the app data and force closing it? maybe unistalling it?
Sent from my cappy UC'd 900mhz and UV'd running serendipity 6.4/ Onix kernel
This happens to me every once in a while, all I do is force close TiBu and do it again and it usually willing work

this also happened to me on the same rom. i have no idea what the davlik cache does, but i find that whenever i delete it from cwm it fixes issues. doing this fixed the issue of taking forever to batch install my backups.
i tried wiping the dalivick cache in recovery and still hangs
Try enabling USB debugging should work fine

I am using stock ICS, upgraded through KIES. But still i'm not able to install applications that have been downloaded as .apk. The install button in the installation screen doesn't seem to respond. But once i boot into recovery and wipe data, i get to install once and the problem is back again. Can anyone please help me out. is this common with ICS or am i the only one at stake ?
It's not common in ICS..
Anyways Be careful
Data wipe in ICS is not recommended...
It can be dangerous...
Do you know any reason why im not able to install applications?

Have you ubticked allow install from unknown sources in settings?
Are you sure the apk you are installing is compatible with ICS??
Maybe that are made for GB..
Obviously yes !!
Yea i had that install from unknown sources Checked. Not able to install any apps, the Install button remains dull. i had the same problem with AOSP ICS stunner also. And now the same with stock ICS.
I've got the exact same problem! ===and solved it ===
I'm on ICS stock, rooted and the install button does not respond.
Luckily i have an application (DX Toolbox) installed that allows me to install apk's. It uses a different interface.
Build in explorer, Root Explorer and ES File Explorer all use the main install screen with the 'defective' button.
I'm sorry to hear you've got this problem too, but also happy, cuz i honestly thought i was becoming retarded...
======Edit=======
I found out what app caused my troubles!
It was my screenfilter (got a yellowish screen tint, so it's always running). Once turned off everything worked as it should.
Pfff......was so close to getting retarded
Back in time. .
I rolled back to GB cuz i really got frustrated . Ll update and see if things get going better. And would you be kind enough to lemme know what screen filter you were using as i use ScreenFilter by haxor industry. and are you sure the app causes the problem ?

Ok, you need root for this & also a root explorer.
Open your file manager navigate to etc/init.d/ and if you see the file 01mvdalvik move it to /mnt/sdcard/ then clear the cache and data for Play and reboot into recovery. Wipe your dalvik and cache in recovery and then reboot.
You will have much less internal memory after this. The script you moved (if it is there) tells the OS to move the dalvik to the system partition instead of the user partition. This causes problems with Play sometimes.
hi had exact same problem I to frustrated again I just uninstalled brightness apk(lux) than onwards installation working fine that's weired and I use lux app for auto brightness see wheather u installed any auto brightness. uninstall and check it

Will Check It out.
Thanks guys for your replies. Currently downloading stock ICS. will Upgrade and check out the "installation process".
If you have screen filter running then you'll have to disable it. Somehow install button doesn't respond when its enabled while everything else works just fine.

I'm using 'filter your screen' app by Kovit. But this issue is caused by all kinds of apps that put some kind of layer on your screen. When i disable my filter i can install just fine, so I'm 100% sure this is the cause.
If you do a search for 'packet installer not working' you find similar threads. That's what i did after typing here
Hope it all works out for you, sorry you had to reinstall.

Sorry to bring an old thread back to life, but I also had this issue -- I was running screenadjuster because I also have a yellow tint on my Samsung Galaxy S3, and I couldn't install APKs until I disabled the screen filter. I will file a bug report with the author

Hey guys, I've been having those issues since flashing trickdroid mods. Before that i was using cm 10.1 and everything was fine. Later on i tryed PA, PAC, ARHD and a newer CM Version and i still have reboots while accessing the play store installing an app or just turning my phone to landscape mode. Also there are many fcs and heating issues now and then. I did so many full wipes and tried not restoring anything via titanium and still my phone won't be stable at all.
Anyone know what to do? Heeeeelp

It's a problem about some apps.
I'm running trickdroid without any prob.
Haven't had issues for a while but then, again reboots!
Installed Unified Remote via play store (dont think it matters which app I want to install at all), after download completed and install progress began, reboot. Just bootet, received notification from xda app, tapped notification and again reboot.
It's really annoying. Any idea? Maybe switching back to stock or wiping my virtual SD card next time i flash? What might cause this problem and what might help me solve this?
Please!

Okay maybe someone knows a solution if i tell you that the error i get is
"error getting pid for '0'"
Just checked my logcat. Is it supposed to be full off errors or is it just me?

Hi everyone,
I have a droid 4 that started booting to a black screen. I tried running option 2 and then option 1 in the droid 4 utility and the script completes correctly. After the modem finishes installing it reboots again and either gets stuck on a black screen or gets stuck on the Android is upgrading... Starting apps screen.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

It sounds like a possible hardware issue. After the process completes try to boot into recovery and do factory reset. If problem persists try to download utility again and run it. It may have gotten corrupted. If problem still persists I would suspect either emmc memory issues or internal storage damage

Oh, that's a real bummer. I've tried the factory reset and repeated the download utility with the same results. Is there a way to test those parts or do I just basically need a new logic board?
Thanks

Seems like it. If there's ways to test it I'd have no clue. Maybe seek assistance from a local cell phone repair company

Which version of Android are you running and which version of the D4 Utility are you running?
