I recently got my i9000 back from repair and now I am able to root it and I even Installed ext2 tools but I am unable to do the one click lag fix since it says unavailable..
Someone please help...

Oh nevermind bro! Found a solution to this.. Had to delete the boot animation and recover it back from OCLF and then the option to lag fix shows up!

Click on unavalilable option ando you will receive an information about the reason of your problem. If there is no space in system, you may remove some files, using root explorer, and get free space in system to run lagfix.

I had the OCLF 2.0 lagfix installed for a while now... Today I decided to unroot my phone.... So I ran OCLF again. From bottom to top, I began reverting back to the previous unroot state. However, both the install and remove lagfix options was disabled (greyed out). It said no lagfix appeared to have been installed, even though it was. So I unrooted my phone. No issues but now, how do I know what file system is being used ? I want to go back to the official RFS filesystem, and not use EXT3. Also, I noticed that before rooting and lagfix, I had around 1.5 GB free space in my ROM. After lagfix, it was around 600 MB. It is the same now. Please advise... Thank you!

I am sure there is a solution but I ended up restoring from recovery a nandroid prior to that fix. The 1.0 fix on that app. Works fine I will stay away from 2.0 for now

So you're suggesting I should just go ahead and do a factory reset ?

I'm not talking about internal sdcard memory, but about the 2GB ROM. OCLF reserved ~700MB of my ROM to apply the lagfix. After that, I was unable to uninstall it. What I want is to:
1. Get rid of the lagfix
2. Recover lost memory
3. Revert to RFS filesystem from EXT3 (or whatever it is that OCLF uses..)

U have to flash ur firmware thru odin again as that is the only way out. U cud try factory reset first.
Oclf dint install correctly, hence u have this issue.

Thank you! Guess I'll do the factory reset when froyo arrives, just before updating to froyo...
You can root, then delete the /data/oclf folder manually to get your space back.
Finally, unroot again. 5 mins max.

Thanks! I'll try this now... Hope my phone won't get jacked by manually removing OCLF like that ? If it wasn't properly installed in the first place, wouldn't that mean there's still a chance I'm on the OCLF ext3 filesystem instead of stock RFS ? How can I definitively know what FS my phone is currently on, so as to know if the OCLF is still in effect or not ?
Do a few runs of quadrant. If it's under 1000, it's on RFS. If it's over 1500 (1700 really) you're on ext2

Well, the phone scored ~870 ( isn't that a bit TOO low ?) in quadrant. Guess I'm on RFS after all... Will go ahead and scrap the OCLF data now.. Thanks!

can't seem to find that folder... There is however /data/ext2 containing linux.ex2 file which is about 877MB in size. Is that the OCLF file ? Or am I missing something here ?

How can I know if the file is still being utilized or not ?
If the system is using RFS, it should be okay to delete the file. Worst case scenario is that you'll have to reflash your firmware, but i highly doubt it'l come to that.

I have installed the one click lag fix from the android market and have been able to root my phone without problem. I have installed the ext2 tools and when i try to click on the lag fix which it shows as available i get an error message come up.
Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

I am thinking of putting Voodoo lagfix on my Captivate running 2.2. Before I do, I want to know if there is an easy way to remove Voodoo. Any help is appreciated.
Simply put an extensionless file in the Voodoo folder called disable lagfix, reboot and you will here the robot lady converting the files back. When you want to enable Voodoo again, delete the disable lagfix file.

No problem, I was a noob too, seems so long ago although it isn't.
Just connect your phone you your pc and mount to your pc. Then browse the files of you internal sd card find the voodoo folder, then open it, then create a new folder inside the Voodoo folder and name it disable lagfix. Safely remove hardware from your pc and then unmount the phone from your pc. Reboot the phone and you will hear the robo lady's voice converting the data files back.

They say it's a good idea to undo the lagfix before flashing a new ROM (is that so?). How can I undo my lagfix then? Unfortunately I don't recall what lagfix method I used.

That's one of the various reasons why you shouldn't have used one in the first place... *sigh*.
Go into the "about" screen for your phone and see what it says under firmware. If it's voodoo, you'll see something like #voodoo. Likewise, you'll see a voodoo folder on your sd card.

You can disable voodoo by creating a folder called Undo voodoo or something, its on the developers site. Problem is you can't permanently and totally remove them without a flash. The reason I have not done a lag fix..... I did and it killed my market, so Samsung reflashed it for me stock rom.
you have to create a folder called disable-lagfix in the folder called voodoo in the internal sd card. Then reboot.
Also, to have it disabled you have to leave that folder there until you flash a new kernel, or else it will go back to ext4 partitions on next reboot.
Oh, and market problem is not related to this at all.

I rooted my phone, market was fine and bootup screen was fine. I applied the one click lag fix and BAM I lost the S bootup animation and my market would deny me access as my phone was not "provisioned" or "privileged" to access the market.
its not the lagfix's fault that you lost your market...

You should be able to. I was always able to backup and recover every ROM I ever installed, as long as some version of the same ROM is installed.
In short, if you install a different ROM after u take backup, please install the original version of the ROM, and then restore from backup.

I thought flashing stock over voodoo = temporary brick. I thought you had to disable voodoo prior to One-click back to stock.
