Anyone got zagg smartbuds with sgs? Any tips how to get the button working with answering / hang up, or even how to use it in phone call. Can't hear anything when someone calls me or speak to mic. All help is appreciated.
I am also thinking of buying ones, however I have the same issue with other buds - like for eg. Iphone's buds experience the same issue.
Anyone now the fix for this?
Thx

Hi,
First post, so apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place, but I wanted to find out if anyone else is having trouble with the speaker and microphone on an S730?
I eventually received my handset from O2 UK (XDA Atmos) and managed to make 2 voice calls before the speaker stopped working. I can place calls but I can't hear a thing (completely silent), and I no longer have any key tones.
On investigation, it works fine using the supplied headset, and if I grip the phone in a particular way so to gently squeeze the top section, the speaker works again.
I've googled until I'm sick and can't find any references to this on a 730, but quite a few on the 710. Anyone else had this problem.
Oh, and just to really annoy me, O2 are out of stock, so their next day replacement is going to take 18 days!
If pressing on the case kicks it back in it sounds like something is not connecting properly anymore, its possible you could fix it but I would go for the replacement. Does the external speaker still work? I have not seen any other threads about this issue but I am sure we will.
It's hard to tell but I believe the external speaker works as it does ring. However, I'm not able to switch it to speaker phone mode. Doing so does nothing. I also seem to have more luck placing calls than receiving them.
I guess I'll just have to wait for the replacement. Bit annoying that my 'loan phone' from O2 is a nokia 6300 though - hardly comparable! Just hoping the replacement doesn't suffer the same problems...
You sir are the first one to report this issue that I have seen, doesnt mean its not but I wouldnt bet on it being too widespread of an issue. Sounds more like something went wrong in shipping / production and you got unluckey Hope your replacement shows up soon!
Well, my replacement finally turned up today..... and it works just fine. Let's hope it was indeed a one off, or damage in transit, or cosmic rays or something.
for some reason yesterday when i tried to make a call, the other party's voice was extremely silent. I could barely hear what the person is saying. i tried calling again and that time i could hear the voice but it cut out a few minutes later. I am thinking the problem is obviously the earpiece or is there anything else that could have caused this? I just want to know if the earpiece on the diamond is easy to change? thanks
Buy a bluetooth earpiece will solve all the problem? They are abundant. Even is small size and so cheap (less than $10).
Hi,
I have had my Samsung i9000 for about 2 months now and really like it, I think its a great phone...
I just made a call about an hour ago and noticed that when I pressed the call button to make the call, and heard the call/ring tone, it sounded very distorted (as if the speaker was buzzing? but distortion decribes it better).
I have made a few calls since then to check this and its happening all the time during calls now....
Whats weird is that when I play an mp3 & put it on loudspeaker, the sound is perfectly clear??
Does anyone have this "incall distortion" problem or experience it before?
Are there any know fixes for this?
Really appreciate all comments/help with this folks...
Thanks
Dave
Bump... Still have this problem folks, can anyone help me out here?
Had this with a new SGS and got it changed (within the 14 days period).
Yep, been contemplating sending it to samsung, complaints my voice is unclear too.
The earpiece noise I believe is from the antenna, faulty shielding perhaps.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Hi,
Whenever I talk to someone with earphones on, they complain me about getting lot of noise but I can hear them fine and if I talk without earphones they can hear me fine as well. They describe noise as - when you have phone close to tv or car radio and someone calls radio speakers emits kind of tutututuuututu sound.
Has anyone observed same problem and any solution ? I am on stock ICS ROM. I thought to ask here first before asking SAMSUNG on it.
Thanks
I think it is me only which is having this problem. I am sending complain to SAMSUNG now.
Thanks
just send it... possibly a hardware issue.. i have read threads about such issues and mainly turns out to be an improper installation of mic
Hello,
I have bought new Moto X2, and since i have started using - My friends are complaining that they cant hear my voice. i have to speak considerably loudly so they can hear me. If i connect earpiece and speak using earpiece's mic, it sounds very clear. but if speak without any external mic it seems very low. Do you guys know if there is any setting i have to do? i am kinda annoyed after spending good money.
One of the very best qualities of the X is it's sound capture ability, it has 4 mics to cancel outside noise and still pick your voice up properly. No idea what could be happening there to be honest (not very informative, sorry).
Try a reboot just in case.
Hi
I had the same issue it turned out to be the case I was using on the phone. If you are using one remove it and see if makes any difference. Let us know how you get one?
