I got the newest version of CM6 - and i was wondering when you go to SETTINGS --- CLOCK icon --- how do i get the time and weather to be displayed permanently on my homescreen i love the font and the look of it is so sleek - please tell me how i can put it on my homescreen -- i have tried to search but no dice
You're looking for something called "Fancy Widget". It used to be on the Market but I don't believe it's there anymore. Try searching on xda for it. I know I've seen it on here somewhere. If you can't find it here, try googling for it.
I might have it somewhere but I'm not sure. If I can find it I'll post a link for you.

Beautiful widgets will do it too, and imho, better than fancy widget.

forgive me if this belongs in QnA but i currently have the awesome nemoplayer app. really nice app but the problem im having is with the widget. when i try to add the widget to a home page with no other widgets in it, it still says not enough room. i also tried a couple of home replacements but still the same result. anyone know why?

The nemoplayer was made for a phone with more screen real estate. The g1/mt3g is smaller and is not able to show a widget bigger than it. You can tell the difference when you open the app and when searching for a picture to look at half of the bottom row is cut off
Wow! The search button actually works. LOL I was about to start a new topic but just searched and look at what happened.

Does anyone know where I can get the buddies now widget for captivate? I lost it when I flashed cognition's rom and would like to have it back on my phone. Thanks in advance for all of the help!
Look for the JI6 2.2 system dump somewhere in these forums. It has it in there. I'd point you to it but being on my phone that's a little hard

The Buddies now widget is part of the TW Launcher. You won't be able to use the widget without using the launcher. The last few Cog Roms have not had the TW Launcher included. However Launcher Pro+ has a widget called friends that is essentially the same thing.
I too have been wondering if anyone has had the inclination, knowledge, or time to separate the widget from TW.
I like the BN widget better than the Friends widget in LPro. I like the one-touch call/message feature, the facebook/twitter updates, and especially the overall ui. I've looked in Market, AppBrain, throughout XDA and Googled it. Nothing that has that roladex-like action to it that isn't really buggy. (Tried Ultimate Faves Pro...didn't work so well).
Anyone working on something...?

Theres not much that the devs can do without the source code. You can go to the Samsung Open Source site and see the 2.1 source is posted but there won't be anything for 2.2 until it gets officially released.
Even when you put TouchWiz30LAuncher.apk on the phone, the widget chooser still is not present. I've tried transferring over the widget .apks and placing them in system/apps with no luck. If anyone knows which file is the widget chooser, it would certainly help the cause. For reference, I've been extracting files from the the JH7_OTA.zip file that's on here somewhere.
Hi!
I'm very new to the Galaxy S (i9000) forum, I had a T-mobile Pulse before so i'm not new to android. And here is my question, is it somehow possible to install Buddies now widget on Darky's V8.1 rom. I searched the i9000 forum for it but the only topic I found for buddies now is this one. I hope i asked at the right place.
Hello from Croatia!
Community,
I am sorry to make my first post a request. I was browsing through this forum the other day and came across an amazing theme/rom (cant remember which). I didn't know a whole lot about how to do what so I went to investigate what I needed to do to get my phone to look that cool. Now that I know what to do, I cant find the post that had the theme/rom. Here is what I know.
-It was in the past day or so that I found the post and I am pretty sure it must have been in one of the first pages of the captivate forums.
-It might not have been the main theme in the post, and instead been a link posted at the start (crediting the inspiration of the theme)
-There were pictures of screen shots in the post
-Its look was very metallic, almost rusty
-There was a circle segment going across one of the screens, I think it was the dock on the main screen
-very simple, dark and apocalyptic
If anyone has any clue which theme/rom this might have been, I would be forever in their debt. I would also appreciate any advice on how to search better for this...I have been at it for hours.
Thank you so much,
Dezdemona

Thanks for the reply. I do like that one, but it isnt the one I was referring to. The one I was looking at had a brownish red type feel to it.

Different animations when swiping home screen?
Does anyone know what them or launcher uses the option to change how you swipe through your homescreens?
Also, when i was running COG 3.04 i had a scrollable bottom dock bar..can't seem to figure out how to get it. Couldnt find it in the options menu's.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The reason you had a scrollable dock in cog 3.04, was because it came packed with launcher pro (I think..). Launcher pro has the option to have multiple docks. It also has different transition options between homescreens.
Another that does the aforementioned is adw.
Hope this helps!

Hi all!
I know the weather widget and water wallpaper have been ripped, but what about the time/date widget and mail widget?
I really like the minimalist design!
If not, are there any widgets out there that are similar?
Thanks!
I also have been looking for the time and date widget

I'm very interested in this also. Can't find anything on the forum nor googling.
I have downloaded all the Asus roms and have had no luck with this or the email widget. can't even find the name of the date widget.
Not sure if it helps, but when i had my TF, the date widget was actually called Asus Time. Not sure why they called it time instead of date.
Edit: never mind. Just downloaded a custom rom and can't find the time/date either

Good to know. Thanks
Also very interested in the Date widget from the transformer. Trying to get it on my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 without rooting.
I got the date widget out of the water wallpaper thread someone posted it over there

Which widgets are you referring to? Was there an image that didn't make it, or were you referring to all of the TW widgets?

I see. I haven't seen the widgets floating around independently of TW. But I recall seeing a UCCW theme that was based on it. Hold on a moment, and I'll update this post with the link.
EDIT: Found it. Here you go. Hope it helps. I know it's not quite the same as the actual widget, but it should at least give you the look.

There are a few others that match the clock style you're looking for, as well:

Thanks to Roberto's thread for indexing the UCCW themes and making them easy to find. Saved me from having to go back through all the pages in the original thread.
Here it is....try this one..
