Heyy everyone, I have multiple roms on my nandroid folder, and I installed them and LOVE them. The problem is, that I have no signal even with the APN. Unfortunately, I decided to overlook the information of backing up the File_Audio file, etc. I still have them, but if I copy them into the folder, it may not work. Please, if someone can, upload the radio files and please give me instructions. Please anyone, I am without a phone and text, and I rely on it for my everyday life.
never mind, fixed. went to dexters home page ( Dexter Picard) and scrolled all the way down and downloaded Canada's update and applied it through GOT

I really need some serious help, My phone battery died earlier on today and after I charged it again Android would not decrypt my phone as it says my password is incorrect.
I know for a fact that it is the correct password as I had saved it in my Password manager and have used it many times before.
I found Frost(Forensic Recovery Of Scrambled Telephones) and have seen that there is an option to decrypt the phone. But I really need some help to get it working on a HTC one.
I really need some data of my phone, and cannot factory reset it yet.
Frost can be found here: https://www1.informatik.uni-erlangen.de/frost
But I can only see a Galaxy Nexus version. Has anybody got a version I can use for the HTC one so I could possibly recover some of the most important files?
I really need help on this one guys....
(edit)
The source code is available for it.
I forgot to mention I can't compile it because I have no expiriance in Kernal compilation ;(
edit: didn't read properly.

No problem, I don't even know if this is the correct section to ask this question in. But I just really hope someone can help me out on this.
I'm even willing to pay some money for someone to compile it for me when I get my wages.
Again this is a real emergancy
After trying my password about a gazillion times it eventualy worked.
Very strange. I have removed the encryption now
I went and did it. I bricked my new phone. I'm in a pickle here and need help desperately. I know I messed up the carrier folder. I have a backup of it, but don't know how to go about restoring it.
The phone turns on and tells me "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" followed by many more apps force closing.
Wifi, data, and signal all do not work. The phone reboots itself before I can do anything.
If I placed the carrier folder inside the system.img that I have backed up and ran the dd command from download mode, would it restore it?
That's just an idea I had that probably won't work. I really freaking out over this.
I've tried using the dd command on my system image already but the problem is still there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Could maybe flashing someone's carrier image work? If anyone has one I would greatly appreciate it. Please help me, I know I can't be the only person whose had this problem.
Edit 2: My wifi is actually working, I somehow didn't see the icon. But no signal barks appear for the cellular connection.
Try doing the TOT method. Completely puts everything back the way it was. if you're on android M use the ZV9 file and if youre on lollipop use the ZV6 one.
Restore with the TOT... there is a thread with instructions in the forums dev section.
From my experiences with the carrier folder. Files in the carrier folder does not get modified/restored when restoring from a tot file. It stays the same from one rom to the next. I had an issue with activation and updating my prl after doing the sim unlock from http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-g4/general/guide-sim-unlock-t3229801 but I fixed that issue by changing the permission of node.db and node.db-journal to rwrwrwrw.
Hi everyone,
Just create this thread to let you know about the site easy-firmware.com.
Yesterday, I needed a RUU for my phone HTC Desire 820, I registered and paid 15 $. I downloaded different files (as shown on the site) but I got kind of 3 simillar files with the unable-to-extracted error. I'm really disappointed that I was cheated.
I don't want any of you guys to be trapped like me. Not sure if I'm the only one who is cheated. Anyway, be careful.
By the way, I have trouble with my HTC Desire 820n. If you guys have any experience with that, plz help me. No my phone don't have anything (OS, data,...) I tried to restore from some backup from this site but I didn't work because of process ended error 255. We can talk into details later if you want.
You are wrong I'm sorry
Can not extract ROM HTC
give me ur username and password to easyfirmware let me check it for you ok

Hope someone can help you fix your N9.
Bad news odin and such wont help. Right now you are what's called soft locked you have 1 recourse and that is factory reset. Using adb it might be possible to pull off a backup of the file system but that is still it. If you get a readable backup you are still going to need factory reset. The only thing that would have helped would be twrp and nandroid backups you could have loaded them or used twrp to mount the emmc to copy off. And since you are stock you might have encrypted the emmc and sd card and if that is the case nobody can help you you only have 1 option and that is factory reset and restore from syncronized backup.
What's more is this isn't an issue of a maligned 3rd party theme needing to be overwritten it is from an official store on a stock device. Good news is you seem to have signed into samsung cloud backup and perhaps linked a google account to the phone so the auto backup should restore your contacts and txt messages.
I have been struggling with this issue for the past few days now. My phone is showing no IMEI and no service. When I check the IMEI through the dialer, (*#06#) it shows that all the numbers related to that particular output as being zeros. However when I do a fastboot command (getvar all) the output shows that I have the correct IMEI number in the bootloader. I also noticed that the meid number is blank, I'm not sure if one has to do with the other but I have not been able to receive cell service since the issue of the IMEI number gone missing. I have spoken directly to Motorola and as my bootloader is unlocked they told me that my bootloader unlocking is what wiped out my IMEI number, as I know this to be wildly untrue and only used as an excuse to not have to deal with me or my problem, they then pushed me off on the Lenovo community forums. There I discussed the same problem and wouldn't you know it the only people that answered or Motorola employees. Which of course they said "send it in". Of course that's only because they didn't know that Motorola had already told me that they cannot fix it. There's an issue with the writing of the software version of the IMEI and I'm not certain as to the source of this issue. Considering no one will openly discuss much about IMEI numbers I've been getting absolutely zero help, with only a few suggestions of sending it to somebody else. I have worked on my own devices for the past 20 years and have only rarely sent in any electronic device to be repaired by the factory or manufacturer. This all happened when I restored a backup that apparently had corrupted files in it this was done through TWRP for both back up and restore. I have even asked, after becoming frustrated with the broken record repeating the same answer over and over, that I would willingly send my device in if someone could just tell me what it is that Motorola is going to do that I simply cannot. I couldn't even get an answer for that. This has become very frustrating and I am running out of places to ask this question. Everyone I have spoken to all agree with me that this is the premier source for developers and being able to connect with experts, I can only hope that my question is answerable. If anyone knows how to remedy this situation aside from paying Motorola to use their secret Harry Potter wand I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you for your time and patience,
I have attached two pictures the first one is of the bootloaders barcode screen, the second is using the *#06# dialer code.
Noobie T.
I have solved it. It was just a matter of finding the correct combination of both fresh flashing a ROM and restoring of certain partitions back to the freshly flashed ROM. As it turns out the partitions that were the problem seems to be the EFS partitions as well as the persist partition. Wednesday I found a non-corrupted copy of a backup I was able to flash the ROM that was installed on the device at the time of the backup, after which I was able to restore just those partitions. After that once I rebooted my IMEI number showed up in the dialer code output. However, I would like to keep this thread open as the baseband, when shown in the fast boot screen, still seems to be <not found>. As well as does the ro.build.version.full , and the fpr-state variable says "no protection (77)". As this is a custom ROM and I am still relatively new I am not sure if this is because of the wrong itself or because of the issues that I had. I will keep a close eye on this and post updates.
So update, trying to install magic last night, after flashing TWRP, my network connectivity dropped again. Well trying to restore my phone with the RSA I came across a post that had a zip file containing batch files that turned the XML files in the ROM zip that's downloaded by the RSA into batch files that can be run from the command line. I had to make some adjustments to the files but was able to use the batch file to fully restore the phone back to factory settings and got back network activity. I had only adjusted the resulting batch files that are used to flash all the partitions for my phone not the original batch files used to create those batch files from the XML files. I will adjust the original batch files and post a link to them.
