Maybe try to flash with ODIN one 2.3.4 ? I get no battery drain with this one
Hi guys,
I met the same problem on my GT-I9000, please see the attach configuration:
GT-I9000
Firmware version: 2.2.3
Basedband version: I9000XXJVK
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9000XXJVK-CL75655
[email protected]#2
Build number: lidroid-sgs-2.3.4
I charged the cellphone in the evening and played for a while, the battery was left 60% and I fell asleep and turned the cellphone into a flight mode.
4 o'clock in the morning, i was woke up by the low battery notification, only 10% left, what is going on?
Thats a known bug! try to flash 2.3.4!
Try Juice defender
My Galaxy S, after having installed 2.3.3, had the same battery problem.
Waiting for 2.3.4 (expected 3. Q 2011) I installed Juice defender 3.5.6 (free version) and now I have a big improvement in battery capacity !
After switching to "fly modus" in the night I have in the morning the same charge as one day before.
Please try and let me know
Thanx franco, but i tried that too, n i cant keep my fone in flight mode at night, coz i get calls all d tym...... If u can , plz tell me abt wat CMW/CMV is? i hav no idea abt it, n dont even know how to get it. reply apprreciated.

Thanx for ur advice, but i dont know how to do dat. i mean how do i "flash"(wats flash?) odin into it.hod do i get odin n 2.3.4?
This will help
I too had this problem after upgrading to GB...
After searching thoroughly on internet i found that it is a bug in 2.3.3
The solution(temporary) to this problem is that after playing games on ur Galaxy S just turn off and turn on ur device(reboot)..
And do this before sleeping at night.. this will bring back normal usage of ur battery( which is actually better in Gingerbread).
If u don't know much about flashing(like me) just stick to this method till samsung gives an official update. ( i read 2.3.4 is going to be released in this quarter).
hope this solves ur problem(it surely has solved mine)!!!
I also experienced same problem in 2.3.3. Solved now after flashing Ficeto's Jvp rom. you can search for the rom by googling Ficeto's Jvp or darky rom website. Detailed and simple procedure for flashing is also described there.
one thing more i forgot to mention, always flash/ update with 100% battery to avoid battery calibration issue.
Battery draining depend in the kernel too, try semaphore or galaxian then uv it you will be happy with your battery.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Hi, I have rooted my SGS2 i777 (AT&T) with UnNamed rom... But I didn't find it that effective as the battery backup is not much improved. Also, the vibration is not working... Can anyone help how to fix this...? Or any better ROM than this...?
I also tried Cynogenmod 7 rom but it is not happening as the phone is going into boot loop mode...
Unlucky. This is section for sgs1.
Hello Everyone,
I'm not new to flashing roms to a device and updating the kernal or the modem for that matter. Darky has made it very easy for me to do so. I was using 10.2 resurrection for a great deal of time and then decided it was time to upgrade to his new rom. I had done that and without any problems at all, I was using it and it was all good, but then out of the blue(and i mean out of the blue) my phone rebooted and now it will not go into advanced (home+power+volume down) and I can hear it being recongized when I plug it into the computer figuring I just needed to do a full wipe and restore and figured that would solve my problem. I couldn't get it to be recongized by Odin when It was going through there. I figured that perhaps I should go through it and then just restore to an older G.B. rom and then upgrade, but Odin will not notice the phone when I plug it in.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions at this point? I'm really willing to do it. I use the Samsung Galaxy SGH-T959D which is a varition of Bell's version which is the i9000. I've mapped the home keys and none of that was a problem.

This blue screen problem is very common
Hi
It seems that this blue screen problem is very common in this forum.
Did someone manage to solve this problem, or is familiar with a working solution?
Just in order to be organized and help others, here is a reference to some of the users and their posts regarding this problem:
MrCabana in [Q] Samsung Galaxy S i9000B blue screen problem
kssthomas in [Q] Samsung Galaxy S blue screen error, which also posted a video in YouTube - Samsung Galaxy S i9000 - Blue Screen problem
IntelVN in [Q] [PROBLEM] Blue Screen On GT-I9000
The only thing that I got from all of these threads is that it's probably because of CWM 6.x and above, and that in CWM 5.x everything is okay. (Thanks a lot to MrCabana for this conclusions)
So, did someone manage to solve this problem, or is familiar with a working solution?
