Follow the instruction as it is from here. I posted this in COG rom section since some people were having this issue.

I SEARCHED and tried a couple of mods and tweaks, but I kept getting boot loops. Its for the newest version of CM7 Final. If someone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction,it would be greatly appreciated.

Here, this should work. I don't use CM7, so I wasn't able to test it. If you have any problems, just let me know.

You could always use the uot for ALMOST any framework-res.apk

If there are any request then just wait for your turn.

I'm well aware of the uot kitchen, but I prefer to use apk manager. I've had mixed results with uot, and find apk manager to be easy to use. Also, I don't have to "wait for my turn."
Exactly! I didn't know how much the OP knew about apk manager so I didn't post instructions on how to theme the framework-res.apk to have a circle battery. But hey now the OP has two options

Since you had quoted me in your post, I assumed you were directing your reply to me. Perhaps if you had quoted the OP, your intent would have been more clear.

That is true 808bill. Well since his question is answered now I'll be leaving this thread, no need to spam it with off-topic post, I don't want to get into trouble. But nice talking with you though 808billl.

Hey, I had a similar question as the OP. I was wondering where I could find the circle battery mod for the latest aosp 2.3.3 GB ROM (4/29). Do you mind maybe posting a step by step tutorial on how to use APK manager to do this?

808bill posted that in the aospCMod thread, click on his name and all posts, find it Also, pfer10 put up a good tutorial of how to make the mod on the wiki www.romrepo.info/wiki - I've never done it, but I *think* that's where bill learned it?
Thanks! Unfortunately, it looks like I can't use it because I'm on a mac.

Sure. Why not?
I have googled and surfed the forum and found some guides, but I still feel not confortable at doing it and I fear I might mess up my Note.
Can someone please tell me how to do this on a stock KK9 Galaxy Note?

Nope, there's no 'Recovery' and 'Reboot' entry in the Power Menu after (re)applying CWM.

Chainfire's method in this post most definitely does work. Follow the instructions exactly. Be certain to read through both the first and second posts - the files are located in the fourth post, but you need to read and understand the first two before you move on. This is pretty foolproof, if it doesn't work, then you didn't most likely didn't match your numbers to the proper download.

Look I don't know how else to say it, but when I press the POWER button those two menu items (Recovery, Reboot) are not there.
I am not saying I couldn't install CWM properly or anything else, just that I want to add those two holy items.

I don't know what to say other than you haven't followed the instructions properly. It's easy to miss a step. But let's check one thing:
CWM Manager
Because of incompatibilities with ROM Manager, I wrote and included "CWM Manager". This is a new app (as of March 30, 2011). You can find it under Applications -> CWM. It is much faster to use than manually booting into CWM and selecting these options.

I just forgot to say I am using mowmo's ICS Theme and that might have modified the Power menu (although I ran afterwards already-roooted.bat again and those entries are not there).
Could it be the cause of it?

However is there really not a way I can go open files and edit lines by miself to add those entries?

I don't think so, because it's part of the OS. I think at this point you need to post in Chainfire's thread or the thread linked higher up in this thread and seek higher level help - I'm no developer, just an educated user

How about this thread which has the exact steps you need to do it yourself:

After I rooted the phone I deleted some blotware. Now I am having problems with the phone freezing. Is there a way to recover the delete apps?
You can always restore your backup. Unless you didn't create a backup before you went and deleted everything. That's a noob thing not to do.
Your best bet is to follow the "return to stock" tutorial. It's in the sticky threads.
Or wait for the next update to roll out.

I am thinking about getting the nexus 6 this week. I have looked around this thread and have some questions.
1. Is the bootloader for the Verizon nexus 6 unlockable? (If so, please add a tutorial link)
2. Does Xposed installer work with this device?
Thanks

1. Yes, the same way as every other Nexus device, so just read the stickied guides at the top of this section.
2. Yes and no. It works on 5.0.x but not on 5.1.x, which is what your device came preloaded with. I'm not sure what parts of your firmware can/can't be downgraded if you really want to roll back to 5.0.x to use Xposed, so maybe someone else will chime in with those specifics.

I certainly would like to roll back to get Xposed. Also what roms do you recommend for this device? And could you link how to root/install custom recovery? Thanks!

If you downgrade from 5.1, do not revert your bootloader. Downgrading bootloader from 5.1 to 5.0.1, then eventually back to 5.1 could potentially lead to a brick.

My first suggestion would be to use the search function provided by XDA. As I'm sure you suspect, all of this information is out there waiting for you to find it.
Look through the Q&A forum. I'm sure you'll find answers there.

It's OK to downgrade system.img and boot.img. Just don't downgrade your bootloader. Unless you never want to go back to 5.1.

No need to be sorry for anything at all. Except, maybe owning a Samsung lol!

You'll find, that there's a guide written, for pretty much everything you want to do. The steps are simple and fast. Just read the relevant threads and be sure you know what you're doing. Once you unlock your bootloader, leave it unlocked. Flash recovery and root and have fun!

Since you're unlocking and getting a custom recovery anyway, all you have to do is flash a 5.0.2 rom and 5.0.2 kernel. Most devs have updated past that, but you can find links to their older builds usually from the same download folders.

I would suggest that a little bit of patience might be in order here. Xposed is very popular, and I can't imagine that it would be more than a couple of weeks before it's functional on 5.1.
