Thanks for responding.
Run that twice, with no effekt. Today screen still shows one unread massage. Somebody has any other idea?
O.K., solved that problem. I had to switch back to old syle SMS (from threaded SMS). Unread massage appeared so I could delete it. See This:

In that case, you can edit the following registry, setting it to 0. Then, when you click on the SMS icon on HTC Home, it should show the lonely unread text message.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Setting s]
"SMSAvailable"=dword:1
0=old style
1=threaded style
Be sure to set it back to 1. On my phone, when I had to do it, setting it to 0 took effect immediately and no soft reset was needed, but I had to soft-reset to get back threaded-style messaging.
Thats it.

Unreaded SMS counter -- strange problem

Hello,
I have problem with new message (sms/mms) counter on my Kaiser.
When i don't have any new msg, HTC Home shows that tere is "1" unreaded msg The same issue occurs in default Messaging app - on main screen (Select account) it shows sms/mms (1), and on folder change screen it shows (1) next to the "Inbox" in sms folder.
When I select all msgs in Inbox and select "set as unread" all counters as above tells me that I have 217 unreaded messages... then when I select all msgs in Inbox, bottom status bar shows "216 messages, 217 unreaded"
I dont know what is wrong, because "unreaded sms counter" in SPB Diary works OK.
When i recieve one new sms, Home shows there is "2" messages, but in the same moment Diary shows "1"
I have Kaiser from about 5 months and I didn't have this problem before. It started 2-3 weeks ago when I sent sms and deleted delievery report - then the counter strangely didn't change from 1 to 0.
(i'm using original wm6 shipped wwe rom and original radio)
Sorry for my poor english
Search for a program called "fixunreadcount".
Thanks very much !!! it helped
Wish I have tried google with "fixunreadcount" instead of "unreaded sms counter fix"

more than 25 SMS messages ?

hi guys
is there a way to keep more than 25 SMS messages ? it appears that the phone always deletes the oldest one and only keeps 25 SMS messages ... I'd like to keep all of them ...
any tweaks to fix that ?
cheers
Are you sure they are deleted?
When I go into messages and select all messages, then select a person/conversation, if I scroll to the top there is another link saying 'older' and the previous messages are there.
wierd.... they are in "older" section ... why does it then show only 25 ? to preserve memory ?
I think I understand your comment:
in the SMS tab just 25 messages can be displayed
(Also) in the emails tab it only shows a maximum of 99 emails
to veiw any more you have to click "all message" and you get the standard WM6.1 message indox, sent, drafts etc...
Maybe its just a built in limmitation of Manilla as all your messages are still there its just they are not shown in the TouchFlo application?
It's in a conversation style ... Threaded.
If you want all to sms's to appear, like in your PREVIOUS PHONES (perhaps), you can remove the threaded style of sms's and they will no longer appear as conversations, and you will not have OLDER mentioned anywher
hope this helps
To disable Threaded view, there is a registry entry you will have to CREATE
In your registry editor - go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM
Create Regitry entry
SMSInboxThreadingDisabled
Set Value to 1
Restart the phone
That's it.
The sms tab still shows only 25 elements, also if in "all" there's no more the "older" thread... No solution for this?
hi solved your problem?
Ive got the same problem...
Is it in WM6.5 you're talking about? Whose ROM are you using? I always get to display more than 25 SMS or 1000s of emails too.
Regards,
Carty..

SMS still 'unread' after replying to it

I upgraded my ROM to the 2.03 version but i have a problem now;
when i'm in an 'SMS convo' and so i don't return to the TF3D after sending an SMS, and i get a new SMS (ofcourse at this point it is an unread SMS) and i reply to the new SMS i just got, this message stays unread when before it would become a 'read SMS'.
anyone know what my problem is?
sorry if it isn't clear but it's kinda hard to explain... (so sms typing screen - new sms - reply to this sms - sms stil marked as unread)

Same problem here i have started a thread about this before and no answer i just think it is an bug that myte get fixed in new rom dunno now the TD2 is out
if this is a bug then it's a very nasty one :s
but i don't think it's a bug because it worked fine in my last rom...
Actually I had a similar problem... wht I did was backed up all my contacts and messages using PIM Backup and then I performed a Hard-Reset and it went back to normal. Otherthan tht I am not sure of any other way of solvin it.....
happens to my xperia with the new touch roms. i dont have this problem with windows 6.5 or the stock xperia rom. i believe this started happening with the new r3 features in roms. might not be a bug. the way i deal with it is that while im in the thread with it opened after recieving a new text, i scroll up and highlight all the new messages b4 exiting.

Can't open SMS in Threaded SMS

Hi all..
I've tried searching to no avail.
Only today I can't seem to open any SMS in Threaded SMS mode. Whenever I tried to use Reply or Open any sms, nothing happens.
After disabling Threaded SMS, I'm able to open any SMS.
Any1 encounter such problems before?
I'm using PDA Corner V19 (I think) Win 6.1.
Had no problems for so many mths using the ROM.
Thanks in advance.
just an update of what I did before the problems started:
think problem started when I edited threaded_sms.htm to delete the word count as per what I'd read from http://www.fuzemobility.com/page/4/
here's part of the post...
So you can do this tweak in one of two ways. You can overwrite the file thread_sms.htm with bradyonly’s file (or if you’re using 6.5 then use hibby50’s) or you can just do it yourself. The DIY method is pretty simple. Just open up thread_sms.htm (you can copy this file to your desktop and open it in notepad or if you’re using Total Commander locate the file and then press the pen/paper icon at the bottom and it will open in notepad on your phone). Then locate the line that begins “<Inbox: content id=”COMPSESUBJECT” width=”98%”… and delete the single word “count” from that line then hit ‘save’ (or if you used your PC then overwrite the file) and soft reset your phone. And you’re done.
I did make a copy of the original threaded_sms.htm file. Once my threaded sms had problems, I had copied back the original file.
But it still didn't work...
i have problem with my message is can't open new message anh reply
So. how do it fixing?
I had the same problem few days ago.. I received two sms and after them I had immediatelly received an mms, so all of the previous sms were gone and the mms was looking as the first message in the conversation. But there were still two unread messages.. I wasn´t able to get to them until I turned off threaded sms via registry.. I didn´t know what to do, so I had to do HR
I am having the same issue on a Niki 100, anyone with any idea of the solution?
I hadn't editied anything, just flashed the ROM and I can only use SMS in non-threaded mode.
DT
I miss having threaded sms haha

If you miss it that much hard-reset is the solution.

WM 6.5 and SMS List

From when I've installed WM 6.5 (all cooked ROMs) I've got a problem reading SMS.
To read an SMS I do following actions:
- enter SMS List
- select a sender from SMS List (Threaded active)
- read the message
- return to SMS List
and many times the Experia froozen itself for 5/7 minutes when I do last point...
From TaskManager I've got running just this programs/services:
---------------------------------
filesys.exe 24MB
gwes.exe 8MB
shell32.exe 7MB
device.exe 5MB
Biotouch.exe 5MB
services.exe 3MB
cprog.exe 1MB
connmgr.exe 300Kb
NK.EXE 16Kb
I've tested all WM 6.5 ROMs in this forum. Currently I've installed "WM 6.5 Jack Lite": just Windows without any program or customization. Windows is 5.2.23025 (Build 23016.5.3.0).
I've got 8000 SMS managed in Threaded View (in SMS List). Can be this? Original ROM (WM 6.1) don't have any problem to manage 8000 SMS in Threaded View....
Someone have a trick or can confirm this specified problem?
8000 sms
woooow
yeah, 8000 SMS but I think WM 6.5 can freeze either at 500 or less...
I only gets around 200 sms in 1 threaded sms .. the WM 6.5 also froze on me too
I'm using Valkyrie FS 3.0 (not the LEO)
its seems to be a WM6.5 problem, not depending from the ROM you still using.
WM 6.5 build 23071 seems to have fixed this problem.
I've passed directly to 23071 from 23016 so I'm not able to say if some release beteween those two has same problem as 23016.
Well, I've got someting like this aswell, but not really freezing.
When I'm about so write an sms I go to the sms list, pich my contact and the list opens up (threaded) but from the point where this list pops up it takes a really long time before I can even start typing, I think it's loading the sms-list still. Have about 100~ sms with this contact where I get the issue.
Still I want to keep the messages since I need them later on, and I use the Leo sms client (latest).
Does anyone know how to fix this, or make the messages store someplace else so the client just loads like the past 3 messages?
Thanks in advance, Anton.
Hi,
I´m also having big trouble with the sms function.
I think (I might be wrong) that the problem is LEO. I used PIM restore to import my old sms and it simply doesn´t import it right in the database.
if I enter the sms program via HTC Sence (pressing an sms), it actually works, but it loads all sms from the contact everytime, which means it takes forever if it is a frequent sms conversation.
If I enter the sms program via titanium, it either doesn´t show the messages, or it sorts the messages by name/contact rather than by time, which means all messages from "me" ends up either first or last in the thread.
However, the valkyrie firestorm ROM works with pim (at least for me) after a second reset. Flash it, do the regional settings etc, do pim restore and then soft reset.
I haven´t tried myphone backup.
fugatto
@Fugatto: to restore with PIMBackup you need thoose actions:
1) disable ThreadedSMS with appropriate Registry Key or some program (need reboot)
2) restore PIMBackup file
3) after imported all SMS you can re-active ThreadedSMS (need reboot)
4) open SMS List and wait SMS be ordered by contact (for 10.000 SMS I need to wait 4-5 hours)
Warning: No Fingers were hurt in the making of these 8000 SMS
