I think...sensativity is based on main system setting. However you can disable "Vibration on Keypress" in the keyboard options.
To access the options:
1. Bring up the keyboard
2. Press the button with the "blue swype icon"
3. Select options
4. Deselct "Vibrate on keypress"

samsung keyboard, not swype ..<

In that case I would return to your original idea of system settings.

i need the feedback so i know i pressed the capacitive buttons though, this is blasphemy
I looked for this too. I dont think there is a setting in the samsung keyboard to turn off the vibration. I have several other keyboards installed and they all have that option. This is why I dont use the samsung keyboard. Mostly use the Droid X multitouch keyboard.

Is there a way to use the better keyboard on the nexus? i installed it but still uses the default one
Yes, open the keyboard and hold the 123 keys till input method wording show. Then you can choose better keyboard as the default.
I installed Smart Keyboard Pro. To use I had to enable it in Settings > Language & Keyboard.
But I can only use it in html forms by long pressing a form field, selecting "input method" and than choosing it. The whole process makes smart keyboard pretty much useless...
Please, let me know If you can successfully enable better keyboard and overcome this problem somehow...
Regards,
Thiago Souza

Need help, does anyone know the app that you can download to replace the capacitive buttons on the gtablet? Basically onscreen buttons that you can use instead of the capacitive ones.

I believe there is an app called Button Saviour.
I don't use it, but I know some users do.

+1
Button Saviour works good with the GTAB
This app requires that the Android Debugging feature be checking on the Applications > Development setting.
Button savior will place a different set of buttons on the screen of the g tab, it will not change or replace the functions of the capacitive buttons themselves.
I use Button remapper to disable the capacitive buttons ( set them all to focus) and they stop responding to errant hits. You can always restore to default settings if you choose.

Do you use Button Remapper by beansoft? Do you use the version for the galixy tab or is there a version specifically for our tab?
How about CM7 stable available now

Has anyone on TMOB noticed that when you go into Samsung Keyboard settings that Pen Detection is grayed out? In other words, if you try to use the pen for handwriting recognition, that function is not available. The Pen works for Air Command and such, and works under some apps with handwriting recognition, but not all. Looking at the old Note 2 and Note 3, the pen would to to handwriting recognition mode automatically when it was pulled out on all apps.
I also noticed that vibration key tap feedback is also grayed out too.
are you using the stock keyboard or a different one?
maybe that would be why

I am using the stock Samsung Keyboard - which is the default keyboard. No other keyboard was installed. Google Voice keyboard seems to be installed by default.
Meh. I ditched the Samsung Keyboard because I disliked how it handled punctuation. I'm using NextApp keyboard and for handwriting I just use the Direct Pen Input feature, which seems to work for all apps.
I think I remember something similar happened, maybe exactly the same, with the N3. If I remember correctly, an update was needed from Samsung.
fix
I think i found a fix for this.
For some reason the "power saving mode" greys out this feature.
Disable power saving mode and it should not be greyed out anymore.
If this doesnt work
Goto
Settings
backup&reset
Reset settings
Reset settings (bottom)
This will reset phone without deleteing apps and pesonal data
Kind of a soft reset to factory default settings
Good luck

Hi,
for the most part I quite like the One button navigation feature to be able to get rid of the on-screen buttons. But sometimes a longer touch gets interpreted as touch & hold and the Google app opens which is annoying.
Does anybody know of a way to disable the touch & hold gesture? Or is it possible to configure the actions? Maybe open a different app? Thanks.
Doesn't seem possible with the Moto app. Maybe when ROMs come out for this device there will be a way to modify the actions.

Go to settings, search for Assist & Voice input, or go to settings-app, then touch the gear for more settings and you should see Assist & Voice input settings. Once there, change the assist app to none. It will show you all the apps that can set themselves as the assist app. I use Cortana.

Woohoo, thanks! That did it!
I'd thought I've been through all settings screens, but I totally missed that one.
