I think...sensativity is based on main system setting. However you can disable "Vibration on Keypress" in the keyboard options.
To access the options:
1. Bring up the keyboard
2. Press the button with the "blue swype icon"
3. Select options
4. Deselct "Vibrate on keypress"

samsung keyboard, not swype ..<
My bad...
In that case I would return to your original idea of system settings.

i need the feedback so i know i pressed the capacitive buttons though, this is blasphemy
I looked for this too. I dont think there is a setting in the samsung keyboard to turn off the vibration. I have several other keyboards installed and they all have that option. This is why I dont use the samsung keyboard. Mostly use the Droid X multitouch keyboard.
Out of nowhere my three dots in Google Play have disappeared and I'm unable to pull up the menu/settings. All I have in the top corner is the search funtion. How do I retrieve this? I use LMT instead of the stock bars for navigation. I even tried freezing 'Soft Key Bar' in apps. Rebooted, and no change. Any help would be kindly appreciated.

It depends on how you set up LMT. Did you assign a menu option to your pie? The three dots on the pie was mine and I used that to access menu options inside of apps
Thanks for the quick response. I've setup my pie with the home, back, menu (which I thought would access all menus within all apps) and OpenNotificationBar. Is there another menu command within LMT that I'm missing?
Lower your dpi in the build.prop
Open build.prop file and edit this line only.
ro.sf.lcd_density=240 <--------Set this value to 180. Back out of build.prop, save when asked. Reboot. Check.

I'm a little hesitant about editing the build.prop. Is there another way? What about re-installing the Play Store?
If you are hesitant about it that's ok. I don't know any other way. But the edit is harmless, I promise. You just have to be careful that you don't accidentally edit anything else.
You will notice that the lock screen is different.... but that's OK. You can download 2 apps to have a custom lock screen like widget locker or magic locker. I'll post links if you so desire.
If you want to skip my advice all together... well that's your prerogative. But you may be waiting a while for another fix.
Here's 2 pictures showing the difference. The top is with dpi of 240. The bottom is dpi 180. With mainkeys =1
****UPDATE****
This is with
A) softbar.apk removed from /system/app,
B) qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
C) dpi set at 180.
Perfect.
I should mention that I have go keyboard installed and xSettings installed with stock locker option disabled. With widget locker installed. And LMT soft keys installed.

I tried both, widget locker and magic locker, neither seemed to work for me after changing my DPI. Any suggestions?

Oddly enough, I have an app called Fullscreen Toggle that I installed to take away the soft key bar, which has been working just fine. In this app, I decided to try re-enabling the stock soft keys to see if it would bring back the menu button in Google Play (not sure why I thought it would, just effing around with it). Well, when I re-enabled the soft key bar in Fullscreen Toggle it didn't bring the soft keys back up, but I DID get my menu button in Google Play back along with other menu buttons in other apps! Weirdness..

Yes, several times. I'd forgotten that I also froze the system app 'Soft Key Bar'. I'm assuming that's why it didn't come back up. Not sure why enabling that in Fullscreen Toggle brought back the app menus though. Either way, it's doing what I want it to do now.
Thank god for this forum or I wouldn't be attempting any of this crap, lol.

A tad, yes. Is there any way to fix that and still keep my Google Play menu? Here you go:
Check out the new Rom in the kfhd7" development thread.

Had this problem but found a setting
I had this problem in a rom I was using and tried all kinds of dpi settings without any luck getting the menu drop-down for the playstore settings. Then while I was in the interface settings of the rom control, there was a setting called "Statusbar Behavior" and that was turned off, and when turned on, the three dots that allow menu settings was available. This is late for this case, but I wanted to share so if others down the road had a similar problem and came across this thread as I did trying to resolve this kind of issue it would give another option to check. Hope this helps.
Hello
I am having a problem with the "direct pen input" setting. I have it enabled. I have also two languages at Samsung keyboard.
But when I hover spen over a text field nothing happens. The spen icon do not pop up. I have tried at contacts app or at sms app.. it only works when I am inside the secret folder Knox.
Everything else works fine. For example I use handwriting within the Samsung keyboard without any problem.
Is there anything I can do except factory reset?
Does anyone else has seen this problem?

Maybe I did not make it very clear...
Direct pen input is the option to use handwriting for text fields. When enabled you hover spen over a textbox and an icon with "T" appears. When you click it you can write with spen and your handwritting is recognized to text.. This icon does not show up for me. it only pop up when I am inside the secure folder.
Generally for "direct pen input" to work I have to download at least one language in samsung keyboard and enable the option thought settings.
Maybe someone else has seen this problem.. Till now I have not read anything, especially for note 8.
Thanks
I don't have a real issue with it. Depends on the text field as it recognizes some but not others. But even if it doesn't give the icon it defaults over to the Pen entry to write when I tap on the text box.
Thanks... It seems to be a corrupted settings database.. I resolve it with factory reset.. Unfortunatelly..
Hope it will not happen again!
Hi,
for the most part I quite like the One button navigation feature to be able to get rid of the on-screen buttons. But sometimes a longer touch gets interpreted as touch & hold and the Google app opens which is annoying.
Does anybody know of a way to disable the touch & hold gesture? Or is it possible to configure the actions? Maybe open a different app? Thanks.
Doesn't seem possible with the Moto app. Maybe when ROMs come out for this device there will be a way to modify the actions.

Go to settings, search for Assist & Voice input, or go to settings-app, then touch the gear for more settings and you should see Assist & Voice input settings. Once there, change the assist app to none. It will show you all the apps that can set themselves as the assist app. I use Cortana.

Woohoo, thanks! That did it!
I'd thought I've been through all settings screens, but I totally missed that one.
Stock keyboard - how to enable "spacebar swipe" to switch between languages?
Normally on the Samsung keyboard, if you have 2 or more languages added (e.g. English + Korean) you can swipe the spacebar left and right to switch between languages.
Unfortunately for me, my keyboard is not letting me do this. Instead it shows a globe button near the bottom right, and I have to tap this button to switch languages. This is really inconvenient. It makes the spacebar really short so that I often tap the wrong key. It slows down my typing overall.
Does anyone else have this issue? I like the Samsung keyboard except for this little problem. I see other S10 phones with the spacebar swipe. I did research and some people say accessibility options affects it, but all my accessibility options are off. Is it something to do with bloatware that I have remove using adb commands? I did remove a few Samsung packages, like GalaxyApps.
Would be grateful if someone could please help me out.
PS. I also cannot update the keyboard app (via Keyboard settings screen > About). Probably because I removed GalaxyApps using adb commands.
