You're not clear if you mean APN settings or the locked/unlocked status of your handset. So it's hard to point you in the right direction.
Remember, the search box is your friend.
Is it possible to relock network?
I meant locked/unlocked network status of i9000m for warranty purpose.
Unlocking it really shouldn't void your warranty. I think Bell will even give you a code if you're an active subscriber and you ask (so that you can use it overseas if you want). Best bet would be to ask a Bell customer, I have a Bell Vibrant but I use it in the states on AT&T.

My incredible s is currently locked to Bell, I'm hoping to run it on Rogers and I was wondering if i can unlock it by rooting/debranding the phone.

Here is a thread that has all the information you may need. Once you gain S-Off you can certainly unbrand the phone and you may be able to SuperCID it to Sim unlock it too (no really sure about that as my Bell IncS was already unlocked when I bought it off EBay).

hmm check the bands rogers uses. I'm using one on telus, and before this I was using a rogers x10 on telus so I would say it should be fine
oh ok so rooting it will allow me to use it on other carriers? Revolutionary supports 2.28.666.3 right?
no you still have to sim unlock it..
rooting alone won't do that

hello everyone
i'm going to buy the galaxy note from a phone provider in my country, the galaxy note has a chance of 90% to be locked, and i want to use other sims on it, so, is there any way i can unlock my note for free? i've also read that i can unlock it with the "galaxy s unlocker" app but i need the kj4 kernel(the method is the sam as SGS2 method), so, can i flash this kernel to my phone then root and after that unlock it with the app mentioned before? and can i flash custom roms even my phone is locked? i need a fast reply as im buying it either today or tomorrow :l
another thing, can some one give me galaxy s ii unlocking method with the "galaxy s unlock" app?
thanks in advance

Hi
I have an IMEI unlock codes server, and I can provide unlock codes for all Samsung phones locked on European networks.
All models are compatible, even the most recent.
The unlock by imei don't make you loose your warranty, and it's permanent.
It's the easiest way to unlock your phone.
All you have to do is power on your phone with an unaccented sim card, type the provided unlock code, and the phone will be unlocked for ever.
The only info that I need is the IMEI of the phone. (type *#06# to see the IMEI)
And the model of the phone.
Delivery time: half hour normally.
SPECIAL OFFER 12€
Contact me at [email protected]
Say that you see this post in XDA to benefit this offer.
Payments by PayPal 100% secure for you.
I have codes for all brands of phones too.
Thanks
Hi All,
I've seen a second hand I8190N (S3 mini) for sale that's locked to a UK carrier. I'm wondering if I can just flash the firmware with the unbranded French firmware...
I8190NXXAMG1.LPMAMG2 ( I believe)
so I can use it with French carriers?
I've had a read and a lot of people obviously say use the one for your carrier for warranty purposes. I'm not bothered about warranty in this case.
I did read one post saying you can flash any ROM but the phone will remain SIM locked?
There's so much info out there I'm struggling to find an answer. Anyone know the answer or point me at it?

Just read all that. No one posted back to say it worked for their s3 mini. (7 pages of attempts though.)
Hi everyone, I've been a following XDA for a while i've unlocked, rooted, flashed roms, etc., many times,
But this time i am not sure how to proceed. [I'm also a beginner... but I'm looking forward to contribute in the near future]
You see, I bought a Brand New Sprint Moto X , never been activated on any carrier, it arriving on Monday tops.
I already know how to unlock it, root it, and flash a custom rom.
but want to be able to unlock the gsm capabilities of the phone to use internationally, i know sprint offers this service but i don't qualify because i need to be 3 months in service whit them.
on the other hand i read in the General Section , in the model description:
XT1049 - Republic Wireless
XT1052 - European - Sim ?
XT1053 -T-Mobile US, Dev Ed
XT1055 - US Cellular - Sim ?
XT1056 - Sprint - Sim Unlocked
XT1058 - AT&T, Rogers, Claro, Movistar, Vivo, Oi, TIM - Sim Unlocked
XT1060 - Verizon - Sim Locked
What does it mean being "Sim Unlocked"
While i be able to use it on A GSM service (Mexico)
if not, could a posible solution be flashing the SFB for Telcel to my Sprint phone?
or will i just hard brick it?
Thank you very much for your attention.
Eddie
Didn't know the XT1053 was the Developer Edition, that's cool to know.
I'll be pending to this post.
Best

Its been tried. Flashing the SBF itself will work, but the phone will still be sim-locked and unusable on GSM.
Thank you!!

I understand now, reading a lot on the other threads and in other sites it now undrstand that sim unlock cannot be done unless i have service for 3 months or a fix comes [hopefully soon].
thank you.
just before we close this thread..
what if i flash an SFB of a CDMA carrier here, will it work? or will i have to reprogram the phone [ using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/guide-flash-sprint-moto-x-to-page-plus-t2732342 but using my cdma carrier PRL) ????
is this the right place to post this last question?

Eddie,
Yes, you will need to follow the instructions in the "Flash Sprint Moto X to Page Plus" thread. You will need to change some of the steps as appropriate to YOUR carrier you are flashing to since not all steps will be the same as flashing to "Page Plus". Flashing a CDMA Rom will not work. AFAIK, the only other CDMA ROM available is the Verizon one which prevents you from being able to flash to another carrier. Does anyone know of any others?
Good Luck

Hey guys. That's a situation: living in Poland and I bought the s23 via Facebook marketplace. And after I received it the phone turned being looked to one of the local carrier. If there any way to resolve this issue with the s23? If that's enough just to change the firmware from U to U1 using ODIN?
Thnx for reply. Will be appreciate for any help

Flashing from U to U1 will not remove the carrier lock. The lock must be removed by the carrier the phone was used with.

Am I got it right that there is no way to remove carrier lock with another firmware flashing? Why I'm asking cuz I can't just visit carrier office and ask them to unlock it

No. I would suggest contacting @mvikrant97 and see if he might be able to help, he does free FRP unlocking so I don't know if he can help with carrier unlocking.
It is possible that the original owner of the phone never contacted the carrier and asked them to unlock it. If you are able, you might want to contact the seller and see if they can.
