Hi guys,
can anyone help me?
I originally did the old lag fix which required a memory card a while back with my 8GB MicroSD, but now I have a new 16GB MicroSD card which I would like to use, and my phone won't boot up if I put it in the new memory card(because of the lag fix)
What do I do?

You must change the card reader, it only cost ~$10-$15
Google this:

yes thats what i think the problem is about because i had this message storage card not working even though the sim card was not inserted.
by right the problem is not with the sdcard because it is a class 4 approved card. its the reader i think. But i also had errors in wifi not connecting
it is a known fact that HTC uses cheap quality or inferior made parts in their phones.
but how to ensure thats the problem it could be anything including motherboard faulty .
or antenna faulty
best thing is sell the phone for spare parts and get a new one...

like stated above, it is the problem of the sdcard and sim card reader, u need to change it .
as the htc phones mainly use sdcard sas storage compared to nand,. they constantly keep working ust like yr pc card reader.. and will get burnt quite easily
If the HTC hd7 says you have an incompatible card, the os will run really slow and not even boot. For 16 GB needs to be class 2 SanDisk. For 32 gbs it should work with all 32gb class 2 and 4 SanDisk micro sds. Can't use cheap micro sds on our phones. And don't forget to format the card holding volume down button to access crc menu.

Please keep those MYTHS out of the answers

because it's a well documented fact(here on XDA) that the class restriction does not apply anymore, just look how many user are using class 6-10 on their phones, even the 64GB SDXC on different brands not just sandisk.
Keeping a myth alive hurts the collective knowledge, because stops the research... the myths are the answers that ignorance needs to be repeated to keep people ignorant.(no offense intended)
I'm fairly new to the hd7 & it seem windows phone phone got my attention back. love the ui. But two main issue bug me.
1. Memory card
- how do you know the memory card reader/board is working properly? i can't upgrade from 8 to 16gb. my 16gb is sandisk class 4. if i go into bootloader mode, with the memory card - it will read 15XXXGB, with no memory card - it read sd none. But if i format with 16gb inside it wont boot past htc logo. any insight?
2.Wifi
- When the phone is using stock rom, Pre-NoDo, i had no problem connecting my home wifi. but after using custom rom, nextgen v3.4 - Mango, i cannot connect to my wifi. Any idea to solve this? is it by changing my router channel?
WRONG at all!!!

YOU NEVER FORMAT THE CARD!!! windows will do it! 15XXXGB is the right capacity, 16GB. if you formated the card you must do a HARD RESET to make the phone work again... the card gets locked, remember that...

USE another ROM like Dynamics v2.0 or Deepshining v8.

Duhh!! i know that once u put a new memory card inside the phone, i need to hard reset it!! the problem is that with the new memory card, it won't boot past HTC screen. And Also know that 15XXXGB is the right capacity! what im trying to ask is that bootloader recognize my new mmc but it wont boot, so is it the mmc or the hardware?
On using another rom, i'll try it out.
Hello everyone, I would like to ask for your help.
About 1,5 month ago I acquired my XT1068 at the time it was on android 4.4.4. I installed my 16gb SDcard (SanDisk, class 4) and everything looks going well.
After one week I started experiencing some issues, sudden warnings "SD card has been removed suddenly". After that error, my SD is no longer recognized, unless I put it on the computer and format it (FAT32). Over the time, the problem is becoming more common.
Motorola released the official update to 5.0.2, and after the update the problem persisted. At this time I've already rooted my phone and using TWRP in recovery.
So I though it really was the SD card. I bought a new one, a Kingston 8gb class 10, and now the cellphone instead of simply dismount the SD, it keeps rebooting every time I turn off the screen. Here's a little list of thing I've already tried (all doesn't have affected the problem):
-Change the ROM:
Downgrade to 4.4.4 Stock
The Titan Prime ROM
MicroKAT v1.0
Shohat
-SD cards
16gb Sandisk class 4 (keeps unmounting)
4gb SanDisk class 4 (keeps unmounting)
8gb Kingston Class 10 (keeps rebooting on standby)
- Apps
SD booster
Link 2 SD
So, I don't have any ideas left, I goggled e visited forum of all kinds, doesn't found anything like my problem. This can be a hardware problem? Permissions?
I've thinking, there is a way to trick the system and change the internal storage/system partitions to the external SD? Maybe this solve the problem, i don't know...
Sorry my english, and thank you in advance.
Greetings!

I don't really know. I had this problem on my previous phone (SGS+, the unmounting problem). I solved it by buying an new sd-card... But since you have multiple sd-cards with the same problem? Occuring on KitKat aswell as Lollipop? Or your cardholder has a defect or you're buying very cheap sd-cards!
Bye the way, Link2SD is a great app for providing more space, but known to be a SD-Card killer due to the very frequent writes and deletes on the SD-card while opening and closing apps.
SD-Booster? Probably is the guilty one...
Try without SD-Booster...

Thanks for your response Poeta.
Already did. In all ROM installations, the problem was present even before I install any app.
With a clean MicroSD? Or the old one, without formatted the SD?

I only installed SD booster one time, and as soon I realized it don't solve the problem, I uninstalled it. Yes, every time I inserted the SD card, I've formatted it on the computer previously.
I realized that after taking some photos, the pictures would disappear once I did a reboot of the phone. Also, certain apps installed to the microSD would disappear after some time. I deleted everything using My Files (default file explorer) program. But once, I rebooted, everything is back like the microSD card is in read only mode.
Has anyone experienced a situation like mine and what could be a solution to fix this issue?
Thanks!
Did you try sd card fix on playstore
BAD ASS NOTE 4
Looks like I need root access in order to have the SD card fix.
You most likely have a dead SD card. Try formatting your SD on a computer. I had the same problem on my 64gb SanDisk. The SanDisk SD cards are known to have this problem. You can contact SanDisk and they'll provide you with information on how you can get a free replacement.
Hello there. My moto is thea, the 2nd gen with LTE, but this forum is way more active so I write here instead. Overall the phone is great, running Lineage OS 14.1 smooth as butter. One problem keeps bothering me though: my 64GB SanDisk Ultra Class 10 XC I SD Card keeps dissapearing out of nowhere. No ejection notification, nothing. Rebooting the device doesnt help aswell, except for some strange cases when it reappears back out of nowhere. Only reinserting the sd card works until its gone again.
It's not because of the rom - happened on stock aswell. I tried the card on another phone, works without a problem.
Browsing pictures on my sd from the gallery seems to cause this problem aswell, but somehow browsing them from the file manager doesnt.
I dont have another sd card to test if its the phone, but somewhere ive read the Moto G2 has a problem with this excact SanDisk card.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Clean Flash Another ROM Or Flash STOCK And Insert SD After Formatting.
Try To Format SD Card By "DISKPART" Command On Windows (Search It On Google How To Use Diskpart To Format SD If You Don't Know).
