Here are some games I found. These games are not in the Market as of 1/17/09
As i find more I would add more. If anybody finds good games add them here.
Download links below:
REMOVED LINKS DO TO BEING WAREZ!!!
Please refrain from posting any more, warning1
EDIT: These are free. No trials I think. Some are unreleased games. I like the tetris its the real one from EA Games.
are thes e free or trial ???
I have tried monopoly and bejeweled and they seem free it mentioned nothing about an expiration or trial. Monopoly is very fun. With updated Property, Utilities and Rail Roads are now Airports, Properties Are much more expensive but so is all the money you receive. Basically its Monopoly for the 21st century.
only drawback is the game play is a tad choppy.
Great find! Thanks! Hey, I wonder what happened to the Quake/doom demo? There was a video showing someone at some convention showing a demo right before the G1 was released... One of those great apps. that never reappeared on the marketplace after the initial release. Then I heard someone saying that the java layers wouldn't provide adequate framerate for playing higher end games like that and that the Quake demo was made to play around the java layers. Also other types of emulation have to been very slow to make due to this including coreplayer which the developers seem to have given up on. But I guess my question is now that everyone has root access who wants it, can these types of applications and emulators be created to bypass the java layers and run a decent framerate? Anyone know or have any ideas?
I installed SIm city and the controls were very hard to use. Shame I want to play it but its to frustrating to play.
Yeah I see the quake demo in a video of android's beta stages but haven't seen it since.
First post updated.
I'm pretty sure this would be considered "warez"? Probably against forum policy...

Not necessarily maybe if the games were out on the market with a price than this would be "warez."
Guess what its not on the market and their are no prices on these .apk files as of 1/17/09.
So i would continue to share until I see these on the market with a price tag.
Thank you

They may not be on the Android Market, but they are most definitely not free apps.
http://www.eamobile.com/Web/smartphone-games
This is a borderline issue. Since the market doesn't charge is it technically "free" for now? Is that site the makers of the games?? Are they charging for a free program? putting them in the wrong.
EDIT: Closing the thread do to the apk are WAREZ
anyone here have a good write up on how to do this?
I'd be interested in this, too. Especially if you could find a way to wrap vBulletin forums so they appear almost like they're native =P
Maybe some AJAX and some theming magic with a webview window?

Yeah, I get what your saying, which begs to ask why XDA doesn't have a mobile optimized version? I mean this is one of the sites i frequent the most on my phone... or am I missing something? an XDA app would be sweet!!
they do have a mobile app (beta) but it was created for WM. it was a big deal and they even raised a bounty to whoever can create it. check the general forums to check it out. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540504
back to the topic, i think it's possible. there is a widget in the market called web widget maker, that wraps a webpage inside of awidget so you can display it on your homescreen. it's very buggy and not worth the buy, but the concept is there and potential.
It would be easy to wrap a static web site inside of an APK. If I am not mistaken, this is what the AndroidAPI app in the market has done with the Android documentation. Note also how large that application is. But to wrap an entire system such as vBulletin would be pretty tough, given no PHP in Android. I suppose there are options, but I highly doubt they are practical. The most practical option, in my opinion, is for someone to write a generic vBulletin API Interface (not even sure if there is a vBulletin API) and allow for that to be included in apps that call to the web for their data.
Couldn't you just load the page normally inside a webview but edit it to point to a heavily modified android resolution friendly css file instead of the reg. one. Does anyone know if you can edit html on the fly through a web view?
Does anyone know if this is possible... I would like to have my forum built into a stand alone app. Or anyone who knows how to make a website/forum it into an app we can talk about things.
I am a wedding and portrait photographer and am trying to integrate my Xoom into my business. What I would love to see is an app that allows me to import my contracts in pages or ms word format, edit them on the tablet, have my customers review the contract and sign it on the tablet, then export the file as a pdf and email a copy to the client. Anyone got any ideas, or is this just wishful thinking. I have not seen an app for android or iOS that can handle this. Im obviously not a developer, but it seems like there would be a huge market for this, and as a laymen it seems like it should be fairly easy to accomplish.
Agreed,
I really need a app that I can put documents on for my business and my clients can sign on the xoom then I don't have to print all this paper and everything would be electronic.
Check out EasySignMobile. It is an iOS app, but if it is what you are looking for it might be worth contacting the developer to see if they are working on an Android port.
We need to get some traction on this. I'd be willing to pay for an app like that and even donate to a dev willing to do it.

I have found most of the iOS apps to the sub par, and many of them are subscription based and are handled through a website service, or do not allow for editing docs on my device. What I need is an app that will handle everything locally, on my device, and I can backup to my computer at home. I will take a look at EasySignMobile though.

After further reading it does sound like that app has the limitations you're talking about

Thanks for the suggestion though!
FYI I just emailed the developer of easysign just to see. I'll let you guys know if anything turns out.
Thanks for the suggestion
Ye I contacted most of the developers for these apps like pdf expert, what I use on the I pad for signing PDF and filling out forms, but they and most developers said that they do not have any plans for developing for android. Their excuse is that they believe in quality and not quantity, but I respond by saying that you can still make a quality app for android, but still no use. Some did say though that if they do expand then the android market will be next.
Android does lack in business apps and I will gladly pay money for those apps. That is why I am returning my xoom (what a shame) because I need one for business, the same reason why you need one for yours, and going back to my ipad where I use quicksale for invoices and pdf expert for filling out forms and signing business contracts.
If any developer reads this thread just know that I will gladly pay $20 for an app that can satisfy this need as well as a seperate twenty for invoices. The ipad apps that I use are very nice, easy to use, and well developed. So for business I would get the ipad than the xoom. And for those who say there is an invoice app for the xoom, I have tried them all, and paid, and they SUCK.

Although you can't edit repligo reader does let you annotate and even add handwriting onto a pdf. Documents to go is okay for editing word docs but yet to find anything that lets you save as pdf. So no perfect solution but a few apps as mentioned are close. Its odd there are so many apps that let you take a photo and convert to pdf but nothing for documents, wonder if its an adobe licensing issue? I know acrobat pro for windows is pricey but I use it all the time at work particularly to distribute visio and ms project docs.

So do you guys cheat sometimes in games like MW3? Or in an MMORPG? In a game like MW3 you can use an wallhack or if you wanna be the ultimate killing machine you can use an aimbot to.
The wallhack just tells you the position off your enemy by putting squares around, so that makes a good cheat without being detected.
While an aimbot results in many kills and angry player who say they had sex with your mother even though they not know her, or they say you are gay, either way cheating can be fun.
With games like World of Warcraft you could cheat by using an bot, I tried it in Silkroad online, I bring my character to the grinding area and put the bot on and watch an video, well that was fun because I can do something else in the mean time.
One most servers on TeknoMW3 you will get banned, but I managed to play for about one month on a Dutch server without getting banned until today, I made my nickname the same as the admin from that server so people though the admin was cheating.
You could call cheating childish, but I don't think it is, I think many people cheat especially on TeknoMW3, of course I wouldn't cheat on official servers, because there are so many servers on Teknogods, if I get banned I just play on another server.
GTA is the only game that I use cheats. I think it's a waste when you cheat on games like Skyrim and first person shooter games. I think there are other people that use cheats just for the sake of knowing the story of the game.
What is wrong with you people? Where is your integrity? Lol.
You cannot have one without the other sadly.
No. cheating gets you what you want if you really want it.
The day i played DOTA and someone came wasted all his spells me and then magically re-fresh ed his spels without orb. that was the day i declared war on all cheaters.
My everyone else cheated..
And look where i am.
lvl 1 with a stick of prodding, depressed as hell.. my life sux.. and the criminals who shot me "literally" are having beer.
Somewhere something has to give.
Cheating only leads to more cheating.
A game is one thing human life is another.
In a perfect world we'd have servers for real players and servers for cheaters, and people would stick to the correct ones. The only problem I have with cheaters is they spoil a game for people that want to play it properly. I think people who are into cheating to "win" over real players probably got slapped a few times in the school yard and didn't know how to deal with it.

Or in case with a game as World of Warcraft they have a life and you don't so you keep playing like 18 hours a day and don't go to school / work, but the cheater he put his bot on and goes to work and when he returns how he lvled and got some gold.
The bot in Silkroad Online I really liked, because I just wanted play the game without needing to sit the whole day behind this game.

There you go... another example.

I don't play games like that, but I don't think it's right to say someone has no life and judge them just on the game they play.

I dont cheat in online games, I dont see the fun in it. I dont play online to prove something to myself...
now GTA style Give Me A Tank cheats in singleplayer... I will use those now and then...
I do, Skyrim, I made sure I was the most powerful mage ever. Even with pokemon, I made sure I had mewtwo to destory everything. It's not because I wanted to cheat, but I HATE losing.

I must admit that I actually cheated once playing Fallout. I used the code thing to get unlimited ammo. But I was just playing by myself.

I used to run with quite a cheating crew in the Modern Warfare games for fun, and a bit in Halo 3.
You'd hate me.
We used to derank people in public games, hilarity ensued.
Ah, those JTAG days.
On my second go around on ME3 i cheated somewhat.... I edited my War Asset to around 10,000 like that i didn't have to do every single little thing to increase readiness rating etc.
Cheated on Assassin Creed only for the money.... Technically i cheat after I've finished a game genuinely or i got pissed off way too much

Nice app + right Ads Network = profit
There are many mobile ad networks worth trying.
i.e. you can try out Leviteo Mobile Affiliate Network - more details at leviteo.com
The most important thing is to have a nice idea!
Then your app has to have a nice design and be smart!
After you developed the App you can sell it via Playstore or/and use ads in your app.
You have to make your App "famous" and get many people who are using this App.
If you have people who are using the app you can list in the App other Apps from you and recommend your Apps to them.
So you have a small Community
Important things
Develop a nice app
Get the right ads network
Advertise the app

According my experience you need to develop easy to use, professional looking and easy to understand app, but keep in mind to do what people looking for, for example take pool game, go to google play, look how many pool games with keyword "pool game" then see comments, if are great you can resegment the game like so : "pool game on ice" so if people look for pool games and ice find you game, and if your game is also cool, you have a great probabilities to gain good money
I have sintetized a really huge argument... but warning to create a really cool great idea game... for my experience don't works
