[ON_HIATUS][ROM][BETA][Froyo]LinuxMotion presents Conical Rom - Droid Incredible Android Development

Hello to all members of the community.
My intentions here are to gain knowledge of the Android embedded/mobile platform.
I am a full time college student preparing to earn a B.S. in computer engineering and Pure Mathematics.
Right now i have earned a A.S in Mathematics and will complete a A.S. in computer science information system with specialization in hardware in june.
I have knowledge of C/C++, Java, bash scripting and i use Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit Linux as my primary OS.
Since i am a student most of my work will be done towards the weekend.
The Linux Motion is owned and maintained by myself so please excuse any faulty links.
With that said I would like to present a new ROM based off of the AOSP Froyo to everyone called Conical. As of right now it is still in the alpha testing stages.
Concepts and Ideas for Conical ROM
Rotary lock-screen as standard lock-screen
The settings menu should have color added
A Music player that is integrated into the ROM
A Picture Gallery widget along with a gallery program that is integrated into the ROM
A remapped and rethemed launcher
7 home screens
Re-themed notification bar
Clock widget with weather data
News feed widget and app
A better keyboard.
Landscape support for home
Improved phone app
Expose window previews
improved calendar app and widgets
Click to collapse
Included componets as of Version 0.8.0.0
Almost pure AOSP at the moment
Home launcher has 7 home screens
GAPPS and some HTC stuff as addon flash package

Why is the build only 34mb? I would love to test for you.

Very cool. Your kernel download is a 404. Let us know when you correct that.

Its 34mb, because this thing is light. No baked apps, except for whats needed to make it boot and function. Looks like it has clock, music, gallery, and a few other simple apps.

Does it have the market? I am very interested in a compact and efficient ROM...

Worked like a charm. Light fix didn't work. But thank you vey much.
Do you know how to acquire a baseband. The radio image is there, but apparently it does not register. Could it be in the build process as i added, what i believe to be the necessary Verizon properties to the build.prop file

I love battery life, and I'd rather go "oh I need this app, i should download it" than have 40 apps I'll never use and have to delete everytime I install a new version of a Rom ----______----

This ROM has some potential. Keep up the great work!

BFS kernel #1 is not for the Evo. King just forgot to change Evo to Incredible. He has said this so it is nothing to worry about.

FrostBlur v1.3Port from Droid X based off of Team Xron's EVO PortI am in no way responsible for anything you do to your own phone. Please read the entire OP.
This ROM is in early stages of development. Not much works. It takes a while for it to boot the first time, just wait, it will though. When it does finally turn on, don't worry if the screen seems extremely glitchy, it is, you aren't just seeing things and it isn't only your phone. Things that are and aren't working are posted below. Feel free to send me a message if you can help out with anything that isn't working, seeing as I'm only a Junior in high-school, it would be great if this could be more of a community project. If you have any issues, just ask a question and I'll try to answer as soon as possible.

That's what's nice about the running on an AOSP kernel. Hopefully a working GB kernel will help boot the GB Blur.
Just did a little editing, gonna flash and see if I fixed or made any progress in the graphics.
EDIT: Forgot to sign it before installing -.- I'll try again tomorrow, I'm getting tired. Peace out! Till tomorrow of course.
Did you have permission from the original devs? I don't think so. I understand Jdkoreclipse is not a member here but there were others that were involved including myself. It is not wise to release something you did not ask permission for and obviously did not know what was put into it.
who would want moto blur on an HTC phone. THATS WHY WE BUY HTC.. SENSE FTW!!! SKYRAIDER 4.0 check it out!
No development being maintained also working with the original developers to verify credit is needed. PM me OP if you have any problems. Closing thread for now, also DO NOT create a new thread.

This is a rom I've been tweaking and modifying from stock rom. Yin Yang theme is pretty much my own creation with some chrome icons from sv0911's white chrome theme. Minimal blur applications included with several third party apps that can be uninstalled easily.
Prerequisites
Deodexed AT&T 4.5.91
Working for international version if you install the relevant kernel
Please report to me if you find any errors. If this rom along with the nifty theme satisfied you, do not forget to hit the thanks button. A tip would be splendid as well at your own will.
As usual, install this at your own risk.

Once it boot up after flashing the rom, open the app. Spare Parts. Navigate to 'Compatibility Mode'. Untick it and reboot. This will fix the 480x720 resolution issue on several apps.
Do not sign in your motoblur account as it will force close. I've only retained the blur email which need the blur setup app to function properly. Just skip the setup.

Incoming call from the death It is recommended to flash the rom first. Some people have reported they are losing services from att and settings, mainly those with stock rom from installing my themes.
Edit: I'm rolling out an update on the rom later. It appears to have force close on blur emails. I might just removed it and replace it with 3rd party email clients

I could produce ten such ROMs in an hour. This is pure kitchen work. You cooked yourself a nice ROM (good work honestly ) but think before sharing. Does it bring anything new to the table?
NO....

Looking at the name of the ROM made me think that this maybe atleast themed or stuff... but aftr reading the description i saw that there is absolutely nothing done to the ROM, just plain adding and removing of apps which even a n00b can do by just opening the downloaded zip with winrar, deleting stuffs, adding new stuffs etc etc... no need of kitchen too...
I would have given this ROM some respect if it was atleast compiled from source... but this??
Dissapointed...

This is very faster and it isn't a work of kitchen.

[ROM] ghROM - Release

ghROM
WHAT IS ghROM?
ghROM is a source built rom. It is compiled off of the cyanogenmod7 Repos. This means it was not put together cut/copy/paste style. ghROM is a display of all of the mods I am working on. My aim is to bring a nexus feel to the atrix along with my own personal mods. This rom is influenced by how i believe android should work.

Also, just for clarification, can both RomManager CWM and RomRacer's Recovery work for this? And is it recommended to install from internal or external?
Thanks!

Good new a new ROM. Two questions for you:
- Is ghROM unblurred? I suppose it is as you compiled from CM7 code... but could you confirm it?
- What name convention you use for storage External and Internal? As CM the SDCard is Internal storage?
Great work!!!

yes, there is no blur. its sourcebuilt. name convention is exactly the same cm7.
external = sdcard
internal = emmc
THANKS!
Yeah, really. CM7 and Neutrino are both recommended to flash from internal. Most of the Blur ROM's install instructions usually refer to using the "SD Card". I have read of people encountering issues if they don't follow the recommended procedure. Simple enough question I believe.
Also, it has been shown plenty of times that using the wrong recovery can cause issues.
I'm not suggesting that either way is "necessary" but rather I would like know if there is a "recommendation".

May I ask for a request? When in landscape mode in the messaging app, the keyboard is nice and big and all, I can't see what I'm typing. How do I adjust the keyboard size in landscape mode? I suppose I can redownload thumb keyboard or another third party app.

Welcome to FactoryROM AOSP Project:Sweet. Due to the fact that the BETA
version of FactoryROM was so successful, I went ahead and compiled some
finishing touches to the ROM, and out popped one smooth, SWEET, product. Now
that I have the base where I want it, I can slowly implement enhancements as
they become available. I have added the GooManager ROM update feature and
plan on releasing updates for FactoryROM every Sunday (or unless needed sooner
for bug fixes). As always, your input in this project is fundamental, and any
suggestions are always welcome.
I am currently looking for product testers.. If you are interested, please PM me
and we will speak in further detail as to what I am looking for.

Much, much, more.....
This is JUST THE START of a project that I have been working on. Basically I have a
very stable base with a great set of options to customize the phone to your personal
preference. I want to thank all of the hard working teams such as AOKP, CM,
EOS, Codename, and all of their dedicated members for making this ROM possible. Most
of the Android development I have done in the past has consisted of device ports and this
is my first real go at a AOSP source based ROM. I take NO CREDIT for any of the
functionality which is included in the ROM. I simply merged the existing source code to
produce a work of art. The next step for FactoryROM is to include some of my own
settings and options, but first things first...

Most of the stock apps are already inverted, but I'm sure the inverted GAPPS will work just fine.
On a side note, how is everything running for everyone? Is it smooth enough? I don't have a Nexus S, so I can't test it personally... Keep me updated..
