I could produce ten such ROMs in an hour. This is pure kitchen work. You cooked yourself a nice ROM (good work honestly ) but think before sharing. Does it bring anything new to the table?
NO....

Looking at the name of the ROM made me think that this maybe atleast themed or stuff... but aftr reading the description i saw that there is absolutely nothing done to the ROM, just plain adding and removing of apps which even a n00b can do by just opening the downloaded zip with winrar, deleting stuffs, adding new stuffs etc etc... no need of kitchen too...
I would have given this ROM some respect if it was atleast compiled from source... but this??
Dissapointed...

Hello to all members of the community.
My intentions here are to gain knowledge of the Android embedded/mobile platform.
I am a full time college student preparing to earn a B.S. in computer engineering and Pure Mathematics.
Right now i have earned a A.S in Mathematics and will complete a A.S. in computer science information system with specialization in hardware in june.
I have knowledge of C/C++, Java, bash scripting and i use Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit Linux as my primary OS.
Since i am a student most of my work will be done towards the weekend.
The Linux Motion is owned and maintained by myself so please excuse any faulty links.
With that said I would like to present a new ROM based off of the AOSP Froyo to everyone called Conical. As of right now it is still in the alpha testing stages.
Concepts and Ideas for Conical ROM
Rotary lock-screen as standard lock-screen
The settings menu should have color added
A Music player that is integrated into the ROM
A Picture Gallery widget along with a gallery program that is integrated into the ROM
A remapped and rethemed launcher
7 home screens
Re-themed notification bar
Clock widget with weather data
News feed widget and app
A better keyboard.
Landscape support for home
Improved phone app
Expose window previews
improved calendar app and widgets

Included componets as of Version 0.8.0.0
Almost pure AOSP at the moment
Home launcher has 7 home screens
GAPPS and some HTC stuff as addon flash package

Its 34mb, because this thing is light. No baked apps, except for whats needed to make it boot and function. Looks like it has clock, music, gallery, and a few other simple apps.

Worked like a charm. Light fix didn't work. But thank you vey much.
Do you know how to acquire a baseband. The radio image is there, but apparently it does not register. Could it be in the build process as i added, what i believe to be the necessary Verizon properties to the build.prop file

I love battery life, and I'd rather go "oh I need this app, i should download it" than have 40 apps I'll never use and have to delete everytime I install a new version of a Rom ----______----
This ROM has some potential. Keep up the great work!
BFS kernel #1 is not for the Evo. King just forgot to change Evo to Incredible. He has said this so it is nothing to worry about.

Info:
I decided to play around with Android Kitchen and ended up crossing my two favorite ROMs together: Mik's CM7 Port and knzo's #voidforever. I am pleased with the end result, and decided I would share it with the community, for whomever who might want to try it. This was my first try at a ROM and I did it in a few hours, so excuse me for bugs I might have not found. But I always appriciate feedback =P
More detailed description:
When it comes to a more detailed description, I would have to say that the core framework is from Mik's CM7, but I initially crossed over the app folder from #void-forever to obtain a light ROM that is highly customizable and then I made the necessary adjustments to make it stable aswell (initially running the GB 2.3.4 SystemUI on the 2.3.7 framework didn't go that well xD). The advantage of crossing them over is that, you can have Mik's CM7, but then you build it to be as you want it to be (as you did with #void roms). I wouldn't say that it's Mik's CM7 that wins from the exchange, but rather #void, since this is built to be more #void-like, kind of an update to #void removing the bugs that it had from CM7 at the time and updating it to GB 2.3.7.

Beta1 (27-10-2011):
- Crossed Mik's 6.5.8 and #void forever
- Added Galaxy Nexus boot animation (by Janni: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295933)
- Changed Kernel to fserve's v18.4c
- Added Android Market 3.2.0
Features:
- rooted
- apps deodex'd
- busybox
- zipalligned
- CM7 Screenshot
- Highly customizable in #void tradition
- Running Mik's CM7 Port (GB 2.3.7)
Known Bugs:
- ADW Acts like it was just installed on first boot (not really a bug, I know xD)
- Lockscreen doesn't say when Phone is charging
- In account settings, Calendar doesn't sync, for obvious reasons since there is no Calendar app.
- GPS and 3G don't seem to be working (if anyone could confirm I would be grateful)
To-do:
- Integrate Go Launcher Ex
- Create addon package (Calendar, FM Radio)
This ROM can go @ 600-825MHz for a Quadrant Score of 1360. For a2sd I recommend Link2SD
Download here.
P.S. Screenshot's coming tomorrow. Me too lazy right now xD
Thanks to every dev in xda for making all this possible:
knzo, franco, fserve, andy, ciaox and all others I might forget. They made this ROM possible.
Installation Instructions:
1. Enter recovery (vol down + home while booting)
2. Backup your current ROM (in case you want to roll back)
3. Wipe cache+userdata+format /system
4. Flash downloaded ZIP.
5. Enjoy!

If you dont mind me asking, what exactly special does #void bring to miks rom?
Also do you have the apps from Mik_os or just the framework, as things like fm is also missing from #void.
It would be helpful for members to have a more specific detailed difference list.

Did #void come with the FM radio? I'm pretty sure it was an addon, as I'm planning to make it.

Really don't know what else to say, that's pretty much all that it is xD
I was planning to work on it a little more today, but unfortunately I'm having issues with my usual Linux distro of choice (Ubuntu) so I need to choose an alternative -.-

I would recommend putting on thread title "for .32 kernel only " or something else..

when i go to the market i can't uninstall the adw launcher. where it's supposed to say you can open or uninstall the app (or update if it hasn't been updated since the most recent update) it's just blank.
Excellent work! I'll waiting for the addon package!
What can I say, it's Awesome! I was planning to make someting similar like this, but I can see someone was faster. Well, I saw this and as Mik's CyanogenMod has lot's of crap (no offence mik, your rom is good but ..) in it, so why not to try. Only thing, I don't like about your rom, it uses ADW as default Launcher, I deleted original ADW from /system/app and replaced it with (in my opinion) better LauncherPro. I would recommend to use Zeam Launcher as default but latest versions of Zeam are slower and lagging more.
I hope my english is readable and understandable.
Hello, I'm sharing a slightly customized version of 2.3.4 Gingerbread. For someone who like to 'do less' after flashing a ROM
No major change, basically just adding ICS-like laucher, ICS Keyboard and integrating the UC-Kernel v4.0 capable running upto 1.6GHz. There is also a few more minor changes and tweaks, like a new boot animation. All credits should go to those original devs.

Please understand that these ROMs are basically the same ROM as the MacLite-FB0 v1.0 & Andro-ID V3.3-RC2 by TJ_Style,
so they should also inherit all characteristics of the original ROMs.
Flashing ROMs means taking responsibility into your own hands.
Update 3/12/2011
Added another build from MacLite-FB0 v1.0 base

MacLite original ROM is a great build. I altered it only a bit, mainly cosmetics. The original uses Zeam laucher, a very light launcher. I replace Zeam with an ICS look laucher, which is also quite light. While It could affect power consumption a bit, I think won't be much a difference.

Since there's been quite of number downloading, it would be nice to have feedback here Thank you all.
hi anarchian, been using your rom for the past 2 days, I think it's brilliant! Games are very smooth! And i really like the ics launcher. Great job man! Will do some more testing. Haven't tried the HDMI out. Will update you in a few days, thanks.

Hey your builds are really cool.. great jobs.. touch screen seems to become more smooth.. really lite and fast.. but ics launcher seems to be incomplete and there are quite a few bugs, eg. gesture setting works weirdly... so i had to install 'go launcher' ...then it became supercool..

hello there, ive used your rom for a while now i notice that there are some problem with it, i noticed that i was unable to install some apps that are on the app market ie, skype, script manager, autokiller memory optimizer etc etc. as it says that the apps is not compatible with my device, ive never encounter this before when im using the maclite v1.0 rom, other than that, its a pretty good rom, but sadly i have to uninstall it for now, as it bugs me when ever i go to market and i cannot install the previously said apps,

I think this is not a bug. this happens because of Dev have changed pixel dencity. You can use the app to change it to normal "240" I think.

First time installing Ganbarou GT-N7000 to your Galaxy Note, or coming from another ROM:
READ FAQs:*http://teamhacksung.org/wiki/index.p...sked_Questions
Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery
DON'T flash FROM ANY SAMSUNG ICS!
If you want to have a safe kernel, you might want to flash this kernel with Odin :*http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...4&d=1337346991
Copy Ganbarou ZIP to your internal SDCard
Boot into Recovery
Flash Ganbarou zip
DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your calendar sync will not work)
Reboot
Don't restore Apps using Titanium Backup!
Upgrading from earlier Teamhacksung build or Cyanogenmod nightlies or Ganbarou nightlies (NOT Imilka's or any other build):
Copy Ganbarou ZIP to your internal SDCard
Boot into Recovery
Flash Ganbarou zip
Wipe cache partition and dalvik-cache
Reboot

Google Apps included in the ROM. No more need to flash Google Apps separate. Included GMail and YouTube (in data folder, so they can easily be updated).

Hi BeeGee_Tokyo,
Great to see your first GN rom. I still remember the times when I was learning to cook Kaiser and Topaz roms, and you were one of those that had helped me another. Looks like it's time for me to start learning to cook Android roms!
I'm going to try it out.

Please add that description to the op please..
Otherwise some people might think is S note or whatever S apps.
Apparently, a lot of people don understand that those S apps require tw framework..
Just to save the trouble when ppl start asking for those apps to be supported

Infact I thought so..XD However I can't find any samsung apps..
If: u can incorporate ics reloaded that would be awesome.
( something I have been requested everywhere but ..... )
@Galaxy Note™…
Your boot screen is fabulous!
I've not tested your rom extensively but it definitely looks impressive.
BTW, is there a way for me to get Navigation Bars in your rom?

Make a nandroid backup in recovery before you flash this ROM. If you want to go back to gb custom ROM just go back to recovery and restore your backup.

Why RC1? Official build count already covered up to RC3 atleast. If you make unofficial yours could be called RC4 if you have made something fixed to it. Oh btw I dont think you can call it pure CM source since you edited props and stuff. Anyway, thanks ill be testing this for sure.

I dont think you get the meaning of the abbreviations. basically Cyanogenmod is based on AOSP ROM and the AOKP (Android Open Kang Project) which is also an AOSP and AOKP is name of a ROM a contender for Cyanogenmod.
Oh wow. !!! So will the new project be cm or stock ?...its better to go with cm coz stock has very little development. All u can do is change launcher and add lockscreen lol ..
