hey there yall
iv downloaded an app which call'd "system information" from the market
and i'v discoverd somthing very annoying
motorola corp say's that the milestone display reso is 480x854
well...think again its 320x569
The apps messed up. The resolution on the Droid and milestone is definitely the first one.

Hey all,
I have the Droid1 boot animation running on my hero. it was one that was created for a phone with a lot lower res than the hero (as the original is way too high for it to handle properly). Was hoping someone can advise how to resize/refit the official droid2 bootscreen to the hero.
Thanks guys.
is it in bootanimation.zip?
EDIT: Here you go, i think its the right one!
http://www.multiupload.com/MTJSOQLQQQ
I edited desc.txt in wordpad to change the resolution (originally 480x480) to 320x320 then saved the bootanimation.zip compression as STORE,normal and such like will not work you will get a blank screen
yeah, thats the original droid bootscreen loop - i quite like it, but want to see about putting the new droid2 one on.
if you post it i will do it for you?i dont have a clue what the new one is
here is the newest one.taken from skyraiders rom
awesome! Thanks so very much! Works like a treat!
Hey everybody, was wondering if anyone out there could help me. I'm looking for a boot animation with HAL 9000's glowing eye, with and audio clip of "Good Morning Dave." on the bootup. cant think of anything I'd love to hear or see more when I kick on my droid than that.

Here we talk about themes and applications for the upcoming Moto Xoom!
Beeen messing with a 7' galaxy tab for the last couple of weeks, and have noticed only one non scalable app that doesn't fit the tablet, and that's engadget.
TweetDeck, and any of the main news and weather apps work and look fantastic. So can;t see why they won't fit 10'
This thing looks awesome already so i cant wait to see what the devs whip up to FURTHER increase the awesome. haha
I was pretty excited to hear Monster Madness ran well on it! Maybe the Sony suite might bring us some other ps3 quality games!
Existing apps in Android Market
Hi guys,
Has anyone seen a video and / or review or anything that shows how existing apps in Android market run on Motorola Xoom or any other 10" + screen size tablet.
kindly share your experience.
Thanks.
SpeedX updated for the Xoom can't wait to see how that plays.

Today the Pulse RSS reader got an update, and my experience has been disappointing!
Pulse is\was one of my favorite apps... the older versions (available until today) allowed about 6 feeds to be viewable in landscape mode.
It seems like they changed the resolution for the rows, ans now I can only see 2.5 rows on the whole screen!
Perhaps they'll sort this out later, but for today I would recommend NOT downloading the update if you use Pulse on a Gtablet (VEGAn 5.1).
Just wanted to spare everyone else the disappointment. Also... there is no setting in the app to change the new resolution. If I'm wrong, please share!
Also, if anyone was smart enough to save an old .apk, could you be kind enough to link it here?
There is already another thread for Pulse and someone has posted a link to the old version.

Oh thanks sjmoreno. I got the old apk. Thank goodness!
The updated Pulse doesn't even show up in the Market for me. I guess I'm lucky?
They plan on releasing an update to fix this today.

I used Titanium and went back to 1.8 on the G. Must admit the larger size is nice on the Incredible. Too hard to see the smaller thumbnails with 3.7" display.
Pulse needs an option for small and large thumbs for this reason.
I may not update Pulse on my Inc and keep 1.9.
Even the update sucks...
It only scales it very minimally, so instead of 2 rows being shown now there are 3.
Fail for tablets!

I agree, and am disappointed. Why break something like this?

What looks great on a 7" or 10" tablet looks microscopic on a phone. Almost all of the market is driven by phone displays. On my Incredible, I prefer the update far better than 1.8, but prefer 1.8 far better on the G.
Keeping 1.8 on the G and 1.91 on the Inc. Dev should offer BOTH size options, rather than trying to choose sides.
So the question is given: what is your phone's screen resolution. Choose the one that's suited for your phone or if you don't see the correct option, then tell it in a comment.
Maybe this way themers might have a clue about what are the most used resolutions and might adapt with themes.
Thanks for answering.
okay, you guys using the MiLocker app, please, vote too
thanks
*edit* I read to fast.

not the pixel density, i mean the screen resolution (such as 800x480)
240x320 - Samsung Galaxy Fit here
I'm sure many of us ldpi devices will be voting as well ~
Samsung Galaxy Note. 800x1280
IMO The people that need/want milocker the most are those with phones that don't support MIUI, which are typically the MDPI and lower phones. And I noticed most if not all the themes are at least HDPI.
And us with the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Nexus (800x1280 and 720x1280). No MIUI for us yet
This isn't a phone simply for the fact that I am in a contract with AT&T on a Blackberry (leaving as soon as possible) however my tablet (Kindle Fire) has a 1024x600 resolution.
HTC Wildfire - 240x320 almost half the apps are gone off the android market because they dont work with qvga
