Xperia change language

can some body tel me how to change language in sonyericson xperia is in french i whant to change it to english pls tel me what to do is urgent

Flash it with english ROM.

norwegian keyboard mapping on English Rom
Hello,
I have a r2008-no Rom. I would like to change only the O/S to English but keep the rest (Dictionary and keyboard to Norwegian).
Is this possible?
Does the English version of the R2 rom have the Norwegian keyboard mapping?

Can just change a little file in windows for this. Cant remember the file tho :S

U can use SPB BACKUP.....

Would definitely NOT recommend this SW in this context.

need to change this XPERIA X1 language from french to English .
in these 2 dayz i got a headache over reading about flashing romz and every site gives me some new downloads and links .
its exacting .

backup your personals/favorites,...
for stock roms
in rom dev stickies:
pavelx1 for all available stock roms (pick any of the English ones)
for tutorials check biovolt and phenx threads
alternate flashing via sd in jackleung thread
for custom roms
in rom devs stickies:
read about and h-spl using olinex thread
for tutorials check biovolt and phenx threads
alternate flashing using sd in jackleung thread
pick any one of the WWE custom roms that most fits your needs/behavior/style and flash it using the mthod of your choice
also wrong thread for that kind of q, this one is about changing language...

Newbie Question - Rom Editing

Hello,
i just have a question:
I Downloaded this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=510805 and its working on my XDA II perfectly - but one problem still exists: The language. Are there any EASY Ways to change it to German (OK i could live with the English Version,too, but I more like German ROMs, because I´m from Germany).
I know, there´s already existing a German 6.5 ROM here at XDA-Dev but the problem it its very slow on my XDA, this is very fast and I dont want slow ROMs
And the other question - not that important:
Easy ways to change the ROM Content (Maybe a German WM 6.5 ROM Kitchen If I need that to change ROMs)?

I have done some research but can't find anything.
I dont mind beta's as long it works proberly.

Multilingual ROMS

Right now I'm looking into flashing my Xperia X1 for the first time. I used to have a Samsung Omnia, customized the hell out of it, now this new beast just arrived for me. Twas about time! For starters I'd like to try some of the already estabilished X1 ROMs.
One thing really hard to come by when I flashed my Omnia was multilingual stuff. I managed to translate Manila but everything else took a higher knowledge.
So, does anyone know if there are any widely known multilingual custom ROMs? Are there any? Are all custom ROMs in english only?

Well.....most ROMs you will find here are English.
But there are other languages amongst them, but some are older and maybe disconinued projects.
A ROM is unfortunately never multilingual, so if the language you seek isn't available you have to make your own. You can't flash a WWE ROM and change the language to German.

I sure can't change the language of an english ROM, but as there are localized official WinMo releases, can't these be customized /cooked?

they are cooked, there are a few chinese, german and french ones
look for them, you can still translate tf3d but most are only wwe for ease of cooking or space saving reasons

Brazillian portuguese. I'm still very green with the Xperia, just bought mine. It came in portuguese, I'm considering what's best way to customize it.

Well, I can't remember seeing a custom cooked Portugese ROM. So if you want to stick with Portugese you'll have to customize the stock ROM (wm6.1) or start baking your own ROM.
gtrab made a good tutorial on how to start cooking, see the stickies for that.

Thanks, I'll look into it.
By the way I was shocked to see Energy's MaxManila rom has a way to turn its interface into portuguese, an it actually works. Under the hood, WinMo is still in english, but converting the UI was already a blast to me.

[Help] Can I Change Language

Hi all,
Firstly, sorry by my english and i don't find this answer.
I have a HTC Touch HD with Windows Mobile 6.1 and Italian ROM.
I want to change these language (italian) for portuguese or english? It's possible? Would cause some problem? How do it?

Hi,
You can only change the language of Manilla - Touchflo 3d.
The Italian language of the rom can't be changed.
(Only if you're a cook, than you need to dump rom etc etc....difficult...difficult.....)
