I am trying to upload videos using the youtube app and it says I cannot upload files larger than 1 GB although they are not larger than 150 MB. Uploading via the browser does not work on the default browser, nor does it work on skyfire. It seems to work on Opera but it always hangs. Is there any known issue for uploading files?

I am currently running the latest Hyperdragon III rom on my kaiser. I am having problems downloading files off of IE and Opera Mini. I am even having problems with videos downloading/streaming on Vtap. I have no problems with watching videos from m.youtube through internet explorer, but i have problems downloading files such as mp3 files and such. Sometimes the file will start to download and then it will stop or freez up. I have changed my ROM twice but the problem still exists.
Please Help

I'm currently using Skyfire as my browser. The only other browser I've tried is Explorer. I have one complaint though. When you click on a link to a media file, Skyfire sometimes automatically starts playing the song, video clip, etc. and at other times it gives you the option to download the file to your phone's main memory or to your memory card. There seems to be no rhyme or reason. I would prefer to download the files and watch them later. Unfortunately, the only type of file you can manually download using Skyfire's menu is an image file. There has to be a tweak or a work around. Skyfire can download small files really fast (when it wants to), and I really enjoy this browser other than this one major drawback.
If there is a browser that will let you CHOOSE whether you want to play the media file within the browser or download it to your phone to play later, please let me know. I'd be willing to pay for it. I was reading on the Opera website, but I got the feeling it will only manually download images and not other types of media files, similar to Skyfire.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I am new to the world of mobile internet. I'm wanting to save NCAA basketball video highlight clips (mainly mpg and wmv) to my storage card, so that I can impress my friends.
Use opera 9.5 built QVGA
All Problem Solved at once, Have Fun
Installed Opera. Keyboard issues...
I like Opera. It responds well when using touchscreen, but it doesn't like the keyboard controls on my tilt at all. Is there a tutorial or a setting I need to change? Also, when I installed Skyfire, I made it the default browser. Is there a way to make Opera the default browser? Is there a setting like in the menu of Skyfire? Finally, someone warned (in another forum) that this version of Opera cannot be uninstalled once you have installed it on your phone. I haven't tried to uninstall it, but is that true? I was hoping to someday install Mobile Firefox and ditch my other browsers. I guess I would have to do a hard reset and start from scratch.
sorry this was a duplicated post so ive erased it

How does WMD work?
Sorry...lol...meant WVD. Would I have to use Explorer to utilize it?
On my SGS, I am unable to download files that are over 10-15mb unless I'm on wifi.
I have a 2gb data plan, so I want to put that to use by downloading songs and videos, maybe some movies or something using my SGS, but using the Internet browser on it, everytime I try to download a file that is over 15mb, the download manager pops up as it always does but then it says "Downloading... 0.00bytes", then "Saving 0.00bytes" and thats it.
It doesn't download the file and when I check it out in the File manger, the file size is 0 and the video or song can't be played.
As I mentioned, this only happens when I'm not on wifi. If I use wifi, I can download the file without any issues.
I should also mention if the file is under 15mb, I can usually download it on the phone's data plan without problem either.
Does anyone know why this is happening? I would just like to use my data plan more and get my 2gb worth, but if I can't download music and videos that are over 15mb, thats not very good.
Can't anyone help me with this??
Anyone having this problem? Youtube 2.3.4 runs fine, but if I select a video to upload I get a force close. I've tried just long press and share and it still crashes. Yes I'm signed in to my Youtube app. I've reboot system. I guess if no one else is having this issue I can reinstall Eclipse 2.1 image.
Videos are 5MB to 12MB taken with Bionic camera and Screencast app. Both in MP4 format and over wifi or 4G and using ES File Explorer or File Manager. FC every time.
Can't uninstall/reinstall app cause its ROM installed, any ideas?
Happens to me too, I'm running theory ROM would love know if there's A fix our something for this..

I was able to upload by using Opera and going directly to Youtube and switching to desktop. After a little research the FC issue is common for other ROMS. Youtube not making effort to fix crap_app.
It won't let me download an .mkv file from mediafire. It automatically saves it a a txt file instead. I can just rename it, but it is still annoying. I'm sure it's not just mkv files, either.
Enabling that Astro downloader option doesn't seem to help.
Running CM9 nightly 3/18.
I'm a boat user myself, love it.
That being said, try a different browser. I know some file sharing sites don't work correctly with some. I've found opera works with most, give that a try.
