I am looking into rotting my Telus Milestone. I have looked into it and have determined the following:
EasyRoot is the easiest root option.
CyanogenMod 6 is a Rom, not a root?
I think this is true, can someone reassure me or correct me please?

Hi there,
I was attempting to root and flash my I9305 with the Samsung Galaxy S3 Toolkit V7.0
My build nr is JZO54K.I9305XXBME3 (T-Mobile, Germany) but it seems this exact build is not listed!
Does anyone have any experiences in rooting this exact build? This is my first attempt to root a phone and I really don't want to mess up
It would be great to get some help on this!
you cannt find answer for everything here.
In my opinion,be careful enough and then just do it,that's what is called developer.
Always backup first~

Suggest you take your time and read the faqs and guides first .
any update happened??? i mean did u update to andriod kitkat?
You need to flash a custom recovery such as ClockworkMod or TWRP and then you can try to flash SuperSU zip file (Google allows you to find everything).
Hey guys has anyone got a definitive root working yet, i just got my Samsung Galaxy S3 4G i9305T on a VODAFONE (Australian) plan. I was wondering what guides i should use to root my device like for example theres some good ones like
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1967124
Which looks like a good one but people have stated that the recovery rom is abit outdated but the guide is still good.
Can someone recommended a replace recovery rom
Thanks lads.

Yes, then being rooted you can plan to customise without bricking your phone :good:
First , I am no noob her as you can see in my signature.
Member since 2007, proud owner of every single smartphone worth playing with to hit US/ATT market since 2007 onward.
I am not new to Xperia as I had x10, Neo V, Ray and TL. I know how to use flash tool and know my way around with my trusty Root Explorer.
I recently bought Z1 6906 - It was originally Bell Canada but I am using it on AT&T.
Phone runs JB 4.2.2 - build 14.1.G.1.158.
I read lots of forums and all of them say something slightly different, depending on Z1 model and build.
All I need is simple set of instructions on how to end up with rooted Z1 6906 running android 4.4.2.
I read that you can root JB with VROOT but I am vary of Chinese superuser apps and stuff that they put on my phone during the root process.
I do not need bootloader unlocked as I do not plan flashing custom ROMs, Kernels etc... and all flashable tweaks can be applied via Root Explorer and some elbow grease.
So - what is least painful way to root and upgrade to KitKat and preserve root - keeping stock ROM.
I would like to have (preferably unbranded firmware) but I can live with Bell one and remove junk myself.
I appreciate all the help .
And please don't answer with "Search is your best friend" because I am fully aware of that - I post ONLY if I feel really stuck and need help

just look in the development section, there are plenty of threads explain how to do this. Or there is a method in my signature, its slightly outdated (By about a week) there are quicker methods now, they are easy to search for.

assuming you are on .757 rooted; this is all you need.....but either way this will work; im using it on a 6906
I need help rooting 4.4.2
I lowered my firmware as low as 4.2 but i ran into serious errors and bugs when installing really old outdated recoveries as well as custom roms so im now on 4.4.2 instead of 4.4.4 as i dunno what's the highest available version that can be indeed rooted can someone help me on how do i get myself on 4.4.4 with root successfully as theres no real guides here to help me, ive read enough guides telling me i'm able to root 4.2,4,3 but not 4.4 or higher
I hope someone can suggest my next step to getting rooted is as im just after unlocking and installing recovery just now to now realise i may actually have to download again to a even lower firmware
You can easily root 4.4.4 with easyroot tool available here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784900
Don't need to downgrade anymore.
Worked on C6903 (international version)
