Below is the apk file 1.1 I got from the internet:
http://www.mediafire.com/?l8gqi9egdna5vps
BUT,
I cannot install the apk file of Google Earth v1.1. onto Motorola Milestone (non-root). The system informs "application not installed". I uninstalled the apk of v1.0, then tried to install again this apk 1.1. However, it happened again: Application not installed"
I downloaded the apk file v1.1 from the internet. I tried to 3 different apk files, but the same wrong thing: "Application not installed" though i got the apk v1.0 installation succefully before.
Please help!

Amazing otherwise!

I actually didn't upgrade market this way but it got updated on it's own but reverted back to original market because it wouldn't let me upgrade or download new apps it would say it download it but it would never install them. So for now I'll be sticking to the old market. In case you want the old market pull it from stock rom or a rom like plainjane and then replace it and delete the market updater this will let you keep the market without it getting updated.

Did you try restarting after installing the new market? I was having trouble with it as well, but after a restart it was able to download and install apps again.

I noticed that too; I think it automatically flags all Google apps for auto-update.
I downloaded the Eris Market Fix from the market and ended up getting the 2.2 market. and check out androidvideo.net on your android. this one of the best sites ive seen

I'm on xtrRom 4.6. I downloaded the file and it works great! The only problem is that I can't get my downloads to show up when I try to access them in the market. I have already tried a reboot. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks,

I guess that there are no other ideas. Can anyone describe the steps to take in order to get the regular market back?

delete it using Root Explorer. its in /system/app/. you can probably delete it with Titanium Backup too. Astro doesnt have root permissions.

Latest gmail 2.3.2 apk
Just place onto your sdcard and then install.
Works fine on a Samsung Galaxy S i9000
Yes. it is very simple. And I find this always works:
Install the new version, if it fails, reboot the phone or restart the Java VM. Do the install again. Done.
I have the same problem with the last apk of Gmail and with Launcher Pro Plus.
I have solved both in the same way, deleting the original with SUBFS or another root explorer.
i have the same problem.
then,i take a gmail APP form CM 6.1 to install...
i'll done~
try it!
guess this is still for 2.2 only? i've seen various threads on other forums claiming there's a 2.1 version goin around and im not sure if it's modded or not

It should work if you install via Root Explorer (package installer) and reboot.

I installed it like any other app on cm7 rc11. Now works almost fine. I didnt use root explorer or anything else at all. Maybe the package has problems. Download it from android central stie or androidandme site and try again.
That was easy.
Downloaded from the multiupload direct link, installer ran it automatically, then it installed quick like a bunny.
Surprised that the app is pretty snappy now after a sluggish first impression.

I just installed it on my Motorola Droid 1. It works great! better than the old app market. This new is look SWEET!!!! This new app is awesome!!!
Have also installed it now, on top of iceandfire/CM7. Installed it normally (no Rootexplorer) and the market is working flawlessly.
Seems like this version of Android Market downloads to /cache instead of /sdcard/downloads (as in the CM version). Since I have dalvik-cache on /cache, downloads/updates for large apps fail :/

I don't understand something about this new market. How the heck am I supposed to update an app when there is only one app that has an update? I click the app and it says open, then I go back and it shows an update still. It doesn't show an 'update all' button like when there are multiple apps that have updates.
EDIT: The app, it insists on staying in the update available list even when it is already updated. The only way to resolve this was to reboot. This new market has some bugs that need fixed, as with any first release. The honeycomb market had quite a few issues as well when it first came out, but they have since then been resolved.
Isn't the new market slower than the current one for you guys?
i like the new markwt because of its design
Hello guys
I have samo problems with market. I cannot download every app.
It says that this app is not supported for my country.
I know there are some market enable apps, but i didn't manage to work it.
Any other sugestion or solution?

If you are rooted try market enabler https://market.android.com/details?id=ch.racic.android.marketenabler&hl=en
There may be a better solution but I haven't found it. Market access and market enabler doesn't work well with android market 3.x.x. So here is my suggestion.
1. Freeze or delete MarketUpdater.apk from /system/app
2. Downgrade your market by uninstalling market updates or find market 2.3.6. You can find the flashable zip from my mediafire folder
3. Use market access or market enabler to fake a carrier if necessary
4. Install whatever u want from market 2.3.6
And there is no way to have it on market v3?
Earlier in htc forums they had made some markets that are open for everhthing.

Hi all,
I'm running CM7 w GB and never had any problem downloading any app from the market but with the following one I do get an incompatible error:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.abnambro.nl.markets.turbo&feature=apps_topselling_free
It says it runs for 1.6 and up... Any idea why it doesn't work? Do you also have the same error?

sounds like galaxy mini not fit the requirement to run it, btw is a free app so just download the APK somewhere ant try install in manually
Yes it works, if installed from apk. Flixster Movies is incompatible with Galaxy Mini, and I was successful installing it via apk.
There were somethings called market unlockers. That would allow you to install any app on your Phone... I think there were

I'm looking for one too...there is a hack for it but it's not for the latest market.
For the newest the aren't any. Search for the market with the old design. For that you will surely find.... But for newer i don't know
