they've developed a great phone but its software is a piece of junk. f**k u samsung i should have got an iphone with my upgrade.
im running win7 x64 with the latest kiens software. can anyone help????

1. Download new Kies update. ( go to google and write Samsung Kies and you will see the official site ). After downloading, install it, then click yes to make it new, then it will say, install it again. Do it again. ( choose your official language and country where you live. Open Kies, then close Kies )
2. Go to Setting --> About Phone --> USB settings --> Mass Storage
3. No USB Debugging
4. Connect the USB - mount and then open Kies.

And for God's sake, make sure you're not using a third party launcher.
Cheers,
BS...

search on forum... kies is ok, u r not

I've got the latest and greatest Kies, disabled Launcher Pro, Done the 16 digit extension fix and still hangs on connecting. The MTP app starts okay but it Kies just hangs. Also on Win 7 64

I don't know about your Kies but mine doesn't like Mass Storage mode and wants to be connected via the MTP.

have the same issues...
i even went as far as to factory reset and format my sd...
installed kies... upadated to the latest version...
on the device itself it show thats the MTP is 'connected'
but that damn bar keep going back and forth and never connects!!!

although i am sure most of you already know, after getting almost suicidal trying to make kies work on W7x64, i have tried the last resort: deactivated LauncherPro. Miracle, kies works perfect now, every single time... Simply activating LauncherPro again, and the **** comes back: kies never work.

kies sucks so bad... wow...
wtf i just want to fix my 3 button issue :\

Exactly the same here boss. I pulled out so much hair over this I now have twice as much face to wash in the morning!
;o)
BS...

god damned kies i managed to sort it out,
i installed some samsung galaxy s x64bit drivers from some random site and it seems to work everytime now!
hang on lemme try it again just to be sure b4 i post this.....
YES!!!! it connected at first attempt!!!! rofl......
btw thanks guys i didnt know kies didnt recognise launcher pro lol as well.

[Q] Going absolutely crazy with Kies, keeps connecting but never actually does.

2 weeks ago I got a galaxy s. Installed Kies and it worked fine. However that sgs broke so I backed up my contacts (via Kies). Yesterday I got a new galaxy s and connected it to my pc (via the Samsung Kies mode) and the Kies software responded. Kies started and says in the top right corner it is connecting ('Connecting device. Please wait.' free translated).
However it doesn't actually get connected I went away for an hour to get some food and when I came back it still says 'Connecting device...'.
Mass Storage and Media Player modes work fine. However I need to connect to Kies via the Samsung Kies mode in order to restore my contacts and to update my firmware. I know there is a lot of information about this on the internet. But I seriously tried everything I found on google, but nothing works. It keeps saying 'Connecting device...'. Can anyone help me?
Please excuse me for my (perhaps) bad English. It isn't my native language.
Kind regards,
me
I had this issue myself yesterday when I updated Kies. For me the problem was the USB drivers installed by the Kies update. After installing the ones at <hxxp://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Samsung-Galaxy-S-USB-Driver-for-Windows-x86-Download-96692.html> and rebooting (yes this step was necessary) Kies was able to successfully connect to the device.
Not sure if that'll help for you; good luck!

From your SGS home screen go Menu>Settings>SD card and phone storage
You will see External and Internal SD card, you need to unmount the INTERNAL SD CARD and then format it.
This should allow you to connect with Keis.
Remember if your using any other launcher than the samsung one it won't work! ie no launcher pro
i just dumped KIES all together
i use Android Manager WiFi instead

easy to use, no trouble like KiES
For me the easiest thing to do was simply to shut down Kies completely, making sure it won't reload when connecting the SGS to usb. Then you connect the phone to usb and after the computer finds the phone you can load Kies and it'll succesfully find the SGS. Atleast it works every single time for me.

Well for a starter I am having trouble with my wireless router. And besides that I really need Kies for the importation of my contacts, it seems they are stored in some sort of Kies file.

Nope, doesn't work.
there is an Android Manager for USB version as well if you don't like the WiFi version
Android Manager also handles contacts sync with outlook, files sync with PC, Apps sync install, etc
I believe that his issue is that he has saved his contacts and info to his version of Kies already and he cannot retreive it to try some of these other methods.
Unfortunately I am just a noob myself but I guess if there is a way to save the information to another program or to the computer itself first then I would do that and then try one of these other programs.
Is it possible to somehow retrieve the info from Kies and put it on the computer and then upload it to Android Manager so it can be reinstalled onto the phone?
Hope this question makes sense...
I solved all my problems with Keis, changing de COM PORT
I solved all my problems with Keis, changing de COM PORT to 50.
How I do that ?
In -> Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers
there must be a device called GT-I9000
Right click -> properties -> Select Hardware -> then select -> Samsung Android USB Modem #... -> click button properties -> in the tab General select button "change settings" -> select tab "Advanced"- > then button "Advanced port Settings" -> then choose another PORT.
good luck
Wow, this worked! I changed port number and finally Kies can connect. I have been trying everything for a month! Thank-you!
it worked for me too on port 50
thank you mate
while i was reading this topic i thought.. oh well lets give it one more try. lets try to get Kies working on my windows 7 ultimate 32bit. I have the phone 1,5 month now and i was really giving up on getting Kies working but felt bad about it because rumours say that Froyo will be distributed through Kies so that piece of ****ty software looks actually important in that way xD
anyway. i gave it another shot today
i started with dismounting my internal SD card and re-mount it. yay ! finally windows see's the drivers and the phone !!
step 2: i changed the port of the modem to port 50
step 3: i started running Kies and it worked !!
thanks a lot for the good tip on changing the port
oh and btw: for everybody who had the same problem as i did [ phone wasnt even going into samsung Kies mode..]

This worked for me as a charm. I think if this doesn`t work for some people, then it might be because they did not kill Kies from the system tray, they just closed it with the [x] at the top. Check the system tray to make sure it is also killed there.
Finally! Worked for me too!
Thanks

On my desktop PC, the phone connects to Kies with no problem. On my laptop, which has the EXACT same Windows 7 (installed from the same disc), it is a no-go. I tried this solution which seems to work for most people. But, after I select "change settings", there is NO Advanced tab, which means I cannot change the advanced Port settings. Help! Thank you!
jimmykahn,
I have the same problem as you, ie there is no Advanced tab after clicking Change Settings.
Very much appreciate if anyone can give guidance as the port change method of connecting with Keis sounds promising.

Step 1 - Swear upon someone you love most that no more Samsung product for you...
Perform following steps and it will work..
Download latest kies from Samsung website
Install it (if already there is a version installed then you can avoid these two steps)
Go to Update option in Kies and update to latest version.
Restart the machine..
Do Driver Recovery in Kies
Connect SGS in Mass Media Mode and download the file from below post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9066027&postcount=17
Run this file and find all long names file from SGS
Delete all of them..
Remove SGS and connect again in Kies mode.
It will connect and detect
If it do not then delete USB driver directory from Program Files - Samsung Folder
Go in Program File - Samgung -Kies - USB Drivers and install it again.
Restart
Connect and check..
Last Step - repeat Step 1
Thanks this is amazing.

Kies doesnt recognize Galaxy Tab (SOLVED)

So I got my tab today. But Win 7 x64 (i have 3 machines with x64 and none with x86 at home) doesnt recognize the device.
There are no drivers in the manager and nothing happens when i choose Kies on the galaxys usb connection menu.
Kies does see that the device is in storage mode, but if i change it to kies connect windows doesnt even give me the plug and play sound. Nothing.
EDIT:
The trouble was the non-stock launcher
Heres what to do if youre having troubles:
1. download Home Switcher from Market and set it to Touchwiz launcher
2. connect to Kies (im using 1.5.3.10092_58_8)
Proceed to root and enjoy!
I have the same problem but your solution does not work for me.
Well that's weird, I have a notebook with Windows 7 x64 and apparently the latest official version of Kies, haven't had a single problem for the Galaxy Tab to be recognized...
I'm not sure which version number I have: I have downloaded Kies on samsung.de, then after the installation I was prompted that an update was available, so I have installed the update of Kies.
Then I have connected the Tab to my computer in Kies mode, the drivers have automatically installed, and Kies recognized my device directly...
Same problem
running on vista 32 the phone isnt didectable trying to unistall the usb drivers and install another recommended one then will sea
Didn't work for me either. Also, btw. Kies is complete crap and does really intrusive stuff. Tmobile garbage apps permanently installed on the device, etc. I don't think I'll ever really understand what the product people think at these companies.
Rant over.
Anybody working on a root that's a little more direct?
Weird. Kies kept saying it didn't recognize the device, but the root app appears to have worked. Need to try an actual root thing to see if its for real.
Whoops. spoke too soon. Didn't actually root.
So just to be sure. It is ok to use Win7 x64 for Kies general use and more importantly to do any future software upgrades?
Its just that win7 is not a supported OS.

Fixed! - Cannot install MTP USB driver
I had a problem when I plugged in my SGT in Kies mode for the first time the MTP driver failed to install and gave an error. Then Kies could not see the Tab.
Fixed it by uninstalling Kies, upgrading Windows Media player to latest version then re-installing Kies.
Read it in a forum somewhere and it worked first time.

In Ontario Canada with a Bell Galaxy Tab
And... none of the above solutions have worked for me... any other suggestions?
GREAT!!!with this trick finally i can connect my tab to the notebook!!thanks a lot...
I tried to unistall kies, reinstall kies, uninstall driver, reinstall driver, .........
but never Kies recognized my SGT.
But finally I've solved in this way:
- Disable usb debug mode
- Set usb to kies mode
- Lock the screen <-- very important step.If I don't do this, kies doesn't recognize my Tab
- Connect Tab via USB to my Win7 64Bit
- Start Kies
For reference:
I've a SGT rooted and latest version of Kies (2.xxxx).
Hope it helps someone else

How do you set it to kies mode?
Simply, on SGT, go to Settings Menu
tap on wireless --> Usb and then select Kies.
thanks @limonxda, but your suggestion didn't work for me. KIES still doesn't recognize my Tab.
Does anyone have any more suggestions?
I have a verizon GTAB and they seem to have removed the KIES Mode from the selection.
I guess they want us to use their VCast software only.
I ended up fpashing my tab with roto fw and now it connects to kies just fine.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I wanted to say thanks for your posting here. I was having trouble getting Kies to recognise my Galaxy Tab. However, after switching back to the Samsung Launcher from LauncherPro, it has recognised my Tab and is installing some large firmware update (hopefully Gingerbread!).
Of course, it would be nice if it told me more specifically what it was updating....
EDIT: Scratch that. An hour of firmware updating and I still seem to be running 2.2. Or specifically, the cryptic firmware version from Kies is:
PDA:JJ7 / PHONE:JK5 / CSC:JJ5 (CPW)

[Q] Problem with 2.2 upgrade [SOLVED]

I'm having some problems upgrading my wife's phone. I went to the website with the upgrade instructions, downloaded Kies mini, and installed all of the drivers for the phone. I put the phone in usb debugging mode and plugged it in, but Kies doesn't see the phone. I tried messing around with some settings (i don't remember what I did) and it worked one time. And the one time it did work, it said something like unsupported device and the upgrade phone button was greyed out. I've tried searching everywhere for an answer to no avail. I don't know what I'm doing wrong
Did you use the USB port on the back of the PC?
No, I used one of the ports on the front
What sort of configuration was the phone running before you tried the update. Any customization? Rooted?
no customizations, unrooted
Make sure in the USB setting it of set to Kies (Fireware Update). This is under settings/applications

I did that. when I did switch it to kies, it said I had to turn off debugging mode. After i switched it to kies mode, i turned debugging back on. Should I not have done that?

May I ask why did you put the phone in debugging mode? You don't need to. You should do what Viper 714 suggested. Have you ever used Kies before this attempt at updating the firmware?
Feel free to PM me and I'd be happy to assist you.

Captivate Froyo update crash and how to solve
Note my device is an ATT Samsung Captivate S SGHi897
Kies would crash on the update indicating a conflict AMINIFUS.EXE from the AMINIFUSREQLEV component. Also sometimes, kies would not present the upgrade screen althought KIES sees the device memory/drives.
Here's what fixed it for me.
On the device - go to settings / development turn ON USB debuging and turn ON Allow mock locations.
With KIES running - the Capivate USB screen may not appear when you connect your USB cable. But the upgrade screen KIES will appear and start your upgrade.
IF you have a external SD card - remove prior to the update. I was able to update with my external SD card installed but when the device rebooted the device screen would go to black AFTER the ATT and Capivate splash screens and appear to hang. I removed my external card - rebooted the Capivate and the device was able to work this the initial Froyo set up screens - then the external was fine.
Samsung is aware of this problem and fix is not widely known. I person I spoke with at Samsung only discovered this fix on his previous call.
Good luck everyone. Froyo is finally OH and lastly = ATT will be rolling out an over the air update for those who do not want to go through KIEs.
You should definitely remove your SIM and external SD before flashing any new firmware, as a matter of Due Diligence.
I'd give it a try first with it disabled.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention that when the phone is not in debugging mode, the phone says it's connected to kies, but kies says no phone is connected

did kies automatically see it or did you have do anything after you plugged in your phone?
I suggest using the full KIES application itself opposed to KIESmini.
If you do a quick google search (or even search the forums here) for KIES you will soon come across a download link for the full KIES application.
KIESmini has been known to have issues with 64bit operating systems. So check into that as well.
I run Win7 64bit and I could not get KIESmini to work. It would crash (stopped responding error) every time the device was connected. So I downloaded the full KIES application and the problem was solved... Everything updated fine.

Unless you modify the built in Access database for Kies, it will not recognize the i897 as a supported device.
Back when I used to check for updates with Kies Mini frequently I always had trouble getting the phone to talk to Kies Mini. What I found worked the best is as follows:
1. Restart the PC
2. Restart the Phone
3. Disable Bluetooth on the phone if it is enabled
4. Put the phone in "Kies (Firmware update)" mode in Settings | Applications | USB Settings
5. Plug the phone into a USB port on the computer that is not on a root hub shared by any other devices (especially a keyboard or mouse).
6. Launch Kies Mini
Step 5 is very important because the phone must negotiate a USB 2.0 connection. I found that steps 1 & 2 were almost always necessary, without a clean boot on both devices, I frequently had problems. Step 3 seemed to help, though sometimes I could get the phone to connect to Kies Mini with Bluetooth enabled. I was able to get it to connect in either Kies "Firmware Update" mode, or USB debug mode. The documentation may specify USB debug mode because Bluetooth has to be disabled for USB debug mode.
I think I got it!! I uninstalled everything. Then I just did what everyone said. Used the back of the PC, made sure the phone what kies mode, with debugging, and mock locations, removed sim card and sd card...but then kies kept crashing. Then I found another post somewhere that said to uninstall IE9. I did that and now its finally working! Thanks yall for your help.
anyway I can add solved to the title?

Total newb at Windows, someone give me a hint? (Kies)

Just as a disclaimer up front, I haven't worked with Windows in years, I'm a complete Linux user, so don't assume I know anything. I'm not used to messing around with device drivers or searching for software on the web etc. Where Windows is concerned, I'm your 80 year old Grandmother, ok?
Ok, so with the Gingerbread firmware rolling out, I decided it might be time to try and get my Tab working with Kies. I got access to a windows machine, and went to work. Here's what I did (just in case I messed up somewhere):
Connected the Tab to the windows machine via USB, and selected mass storage device.
Windows mentioned something about needing drivers, which seemed weird (isn't the Tab a normal mass data storage device when told to be one?), but after a few seconds it claimed it was ready to use, so I went ahead and mounted it and could see my files in the Windows file browser. So far so good.
I then disconnected the Tab from windows and went looking for Kies. After some short struggle I was able to download and install it.
Next, I connected the Tab again, this time selecting 'Samsung Kies' mode. Nothing happened, neither on the Tab nor on the Windows machine.
Tried again, this time as 'Media Player'. Nothing happened.
Tried again, in Mass Storage Device mode. Kies tries to connect, then tells me to try again in Kies mode. I do so. Nothing happens.
After some googling, I try with the external SD card unmounted, as that seems to be recommended. No difference.
I told Kies to reinstall the device drivers. No difference.
I've rebooted Tab and PC. No difference.
What am I doing wrong? Can someone who uses his Tab with Windows maybe post a step-by-step howto?
I'm interested in this too as I'm having the exact same problem. If I connect as a mass storage device, I get an error that it needs to be in Kies mode. If I connect in Kies mode, Kies sees the device and shows the status as "connecting" but never actually connects. On the Tab, it says that it's connected though. I've tried this on Win XP and Win 7. Same behavior both times.
Interesting, you're already a step ahead on me. I don't get anything in Kies Mode, no connecting, nothing. I've tried on a 64bit Vista system and a 32Bit Win7 system, but no difference. In Kies mode, I don't even get the 'device plug in' sound in windows.
Care to tell me how you got Kies to at least see the Tab in Kies mode? What version of Kies are you using, etc.?
I'm using a rooted GSM (euro) Tab on Swisscom network and Kies V2.0.0.11014_49_2
I think I've cracked it. Firmware update is installing on my Tab as we speak.
What did I do? Seems really simple. I went to the Connections and Network Settings on the Tab, and in USB Connection Settings, I changed it from 'ask on connection' to 'samsung kies'. Upon plugging it in, it told me that it had to disable Bluetooth to enable the USB connection (never seen that screen before), so I allowed that, and windows immediately scrambled for device drivers and Kies show the connecting sign at the top left.
I'll keep you posted on how it went.
UPDATE: The installation process ran through, and Kies instructed me to disconnect and reboot my Tab. I did. However, it nows hangs during the boot sequence, at the stage where the blue 'SAMSUNG' logo is shown. From time to time, the Tab vibrates like it does when an application force closes, but it doesn't seem to finish booting. I fear I may have bricked my Tab. Trying to go through the recovery menu now.
Ok, factory reset from the recovery menu brought it back to life. No Gingerbread as of yet, but the XXJMF version of Froyo.

No, unfortunately not.
Back to the overall question - I had similar problems when I bought my Tab in the tail end of last year (Win7 64bit) and had to do some strange combination of attaching the Tab and starting Kies mode on the device before starting Kies on the PC (and dancing a jig while singing the Jingle Bells, you get the picture)
Today I installed the latest version of Kies and it all seems to just work. Therefore it might be worth updating your Kies version (or perhaps I'm just lucky this time through!)
I take it back, same old problem of never connecting unless I plug in the Tab before I start Kies on the PC, sorry for the noise!
I am having no luck whatsoever. I'm rooted if that makes any difference at all. My process has been going like this:
Plug Tab into computer. Wait until I see the screen that says Kies is connected.
Fire up Kies on my computer. Under Connected devices I see "connecting."
That is as far as I get. I never get further than that and I've tried it on Win7 (64 bit) and XP (32 bit) with the exact same results. I've re-installed the driver twice and rebooted both the Tab and the computer multiple times. Kies tells me it's the latest version so that's not an issue. Supposedly there is a Froyo update out there that fixes the screen orientation issue, but I can't get it. Frustrating. This should not be that hard. The fact that there are this many people all having the same issue just proves how half-baked this software is IMO.
Did you try without the SDcard? Seems Kies doesn't play nicely with external SD.

I didn't. I can't think of why that would make a difference, but I'll try it when I get home. Can't hurt anything.

Did you try without the SDcard? Seems Kies doesn't play nicely with external SD.

Seemed to make no difference at all on the Win 7 machine or the XP machine. Goes to connecting and never actually connects. My Tab says it's connected. Kies never does connect on my Win 7 (64 bit) or on XP (32 bit). Frustrating to know that there is an update available that fixes issues I'm having, but I can't get it.
I've just got this problem too.
My solution: set the usb connect type in your tab to "kies" from "ask when connected". It solved my problem.
Sorry for my english.
[edit] Well, I read the whole thread and realised you found the same slution. Nevermind, at least I tried to help.

I tried that, but it didn't work for me.
I have factory reset and unrooted.
Removed the micro-SD card.
Changed to "ask when connected."
Nothing works. Same behavior. Kies says "connecting", but never connects.
I finally got my problem fixed. I had to take a 3rd computer, install Kies, reboot, plug in the Tab, wait for all the drivers to install except for the drive for the MTP device (this wouldn't install). Then I had to have it re-install the drivers, unplug the Tab and reboot it, then plug it in again. The thing finally connected and I was able to sync. Then it displayed a message that the firmware cannot be updated. Not sure if that means cannot be updated at the moment or if that means cannot be updated ever. Seems like a ton of work for nothing.
Update: just noticed that after the mentioned update, all the APN entries were gone. Had to set them up again by hand. No big issue, but annoying. I hadn't noticed until this morning, because I was on Wifi all weekend
I just got my AT&T Galaxy Tab and when I try to connect to Kies I get the message "This device is not supported by Kies 2.0." I checked for updates but it says it is the latest version. Anyone have any ideas?
I know this isn't helpful but KIES is very Flaky. I've never managed to get it working 100%. "Ask for connection type' almost always doesn't work. It's not worth the trouble as it's a completely USELESS app anyway.
For those who don't want to download the ADB drivers separately it's good for that then once the drivers are installed just uninstall and move on

I don't bother with Samsung provided updates. Just get my ROMS from right here and use ODIN Thanks to the wonderful devs (Ocome) on this site.
PS: Even if you want a stock GB ROM you can get it from here. No need for Kies.

Me Too
Hi
Just a 'me too' post i'm afraid. I get the GT saying 'connected' in the MTP app, while Kies says 'Connecting....' forever more. Its REALLY anoying.
I am not interested in any non official roms (wasted far too much time on them on my various WinMo phones). I do want to be able to install an official Gingerbread update though.
My tab used to connect to Kies. It stopped connecting right after it installed an update (to FROYO.XYJJ3), and I have never managed to get it to connect since. I think Kies has a bug (one of many!) which means it will not recognise the current rom on my Tab.
I have tried:
- Removing SD card
- USB debug on/off
- USB connection set to Kies/Choose on Connect
- Reset tab to factory default
- Connect tab then start kies
- Start kies then connect tab
- BT On/OFF
- Wifi On/OFF
- Sim card out
- flight mode enabled
- packet data on/off
- Install kies onto 2 other completely fresh PC's Win7X64 and XP
Nothing has worked, says 'Connecting' but never connects. I'm about ready to just ebay the pile of junk and move on!
Kies version: 2.0.0.11014_49
Tab Build No: FROYO.XWJJ3
Kernel 2.6.32.9
Baseband: P1000XXJID
Tab version 3G+Wifi
Firmware Version: 2.2
Model No: GT-P1000
Been onto Samsung tech, but they are ruddy useless - no help what-so-ever (not that I expected then to be). How Samsung ever expects to compete with apple when their software is even worse than ruddy iTunes I just dont know.

you have to switch to kies mode in the wireless/usb settings. Then before you connect the tab to usb make sure you on your home screen, else Kies mode will never start up. You can start up kies on the pc before or after you connect the tab doesnt matter. If the kies software never starts up at this point, uninstall, make sure the drivers have been uninstalled as well, reboot, reinstall kies. Start kies before you connect the tab as it may have to install updates, then connect the tab in kies mode. Ive used kies mini and regular kies with this method, works. As a side note, the full version of kies will not work with Stock US roms, it will always say phone not supported, so you have to use Kies mini.
Although I don't think i would rely on Kies to do a firmware update....if at all or successfully.

[Q] No connection to Kies since update to JVO

Hello,
since I updated to JVO Firmware i cannot connect to kies anymore.
I need to restore my contacts.
I already tired a few things:
-Unmount SD Card
-Format internal sd card
-Reinstalled Kies and USB drivers
PDA: XXJVO
Phone: XXJVO
CSC: OXAJVO (DBT)
If somebody could help than that would be great.
Thanks
USB must be a mainboard connection .
Remove Kies download latest Kies .
Remove all USB drivers of that port with USBDeview .
Install Kies connect phone mass storage mode and let windows find drivers exit and load Kies .
jje
That should work.. just remember, Kies is garbage and it may take several tries... make sure debuggins off
Nope.
Exactly did it like you said JJEgan.
After I installed Kies I connect the phone in mass storage mode (kies not running), right? (of course before i deleted all usb devices with the program)
Then I disconnect again. Switch to Samsung Kies mode and start Kies right? Then after Kies is runnning I conenct my phone.
The Strange thing is there is this windows sound of "Connected" and "Disconnected". But after this there is no "connected" sound again?!
Annother idea how i can get it fixed? Sorry but Kies is really garbage.
by any chance are you using a custom launched, like launcherpro or awlauncher?
cause if you are kies will never sync with your device. so you will need to use stock launcher ( TWlauncher ) and try to connect again via Kies
if not then im clueless
good luck
I found out that the Problem was FuguRoot!!!
Unfortunately it still does not work by copying the 2 files onto the phone.
Maybe of the version difference. I have XXJVO_XXJVO_OXAJVO and in the other thread it says KVO_JVO_JVO (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010141&page=7)
Unfortunately I cannot post in this thread. Can somebody ask for me for the JVO_JVO_JVO version? Thanks
Hey RorixRebel ,
thanks for your suggestion.
I am not using any extra launcher.
But mabe it is not only the FuguRoot but also something else.
Because my dad can also not connect to Kies and he has NOT the FuguRoot.
First I want to try to copy the correct 2 files to my phone and see if this will fix it.
Thx
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Today I am a little bit quick with writing posts.
It worked after a restart of Kies and my Phone. Haha
Thanks so much for the help.
Now I will try fixing my dads Phone.
Problem Solved
My phone had the fuguroot and missed 2 files that are necessary to connect to Kies (still looking how to undo the fuguroot). If you follow the link above then you can get the 2 missing files from that thread.
My dads phone just had USB Debugging activated. Thats why it didn't work.
Thanks for your help again.
