This is the latest available stock kernel (2.6.32.17-g9a2fc16) for Sense-based Incredible's. Nothing has been modified by me, it's the actual binary built by HTC. It's included in my 10/13 stock release (from a few days ago) but figured anyone on Sense may be interested in it. Before anyone asks, I don't know what's different. We don't have the source for this yet and HTC doesn't exactly provide a change log.

I've been running it for a few days now and it seems rock solid to me. So, experiment with it and enjoy.
Thank you ! will try.......
Thank you Sir! I will give er a go!
Thank you !!
I've been using it a couple of days now and it seems to charge faster. I was actually able to charge my phone while playing games on it which hasn't happened since 2.1.

I imagine this will be stock in the virtuous 3.1 release? And if so, will there still be any optional kernels upon install?
Thanks for this

Yes on both. The custom kernel will remain an option, albeit unchanged since source is not available yet to update it.

I'm using this on Lou's redemptive revo rom and it's sweet so far!
Works great on Skyraider 3.3 charging speeds have doubled, almost 1 percent a minute. Fast, stable, and battery life seems as good as stock 2.2 kernal...maybe even better just havent had enough time to do a full test yet.
Thanks for this.
Tired of Kings kernals always slowing down my phone and maybe with this and perflock set to be disabled on boot with SEPCPU I can keep my screen off profiles to save on some more battery life.
Just won't be able to o/c yet but not like I did much before anyway.
A bit sluggish

I flashed debusROM (and then DamienGTO2.2.1 kernel), which i am blown away by. I keep hearing good things about Honey ROM, but i am so happy with debusROM that i'm not very motivated to flash something different just yet.
However my curiosity prevails.
Anyone had experience with both?

Yrah i just installed the wildsense. Thats a really nice rom. Still needs fixed up but i liked it alot. Ive tried the nightlies, aosp, evervolv, jaybobs, and kushdecks and kushdeck reigns supreme for me. Easily the smoothest. When they get tethering working and get it smoother im going to wildsense tho.

I actually tried the WildSense and i have no service when it booted up. I tried flashing the .29 radio but still no signal.
Happened to me too. I dont know if its cause i flashed the update right after the initial rom before booting or what, but i wiped n reflashed and everythings good now. It runs best for me with the .35 kernal.
I run Miui.us build 2.3.23 and it runs the shade.toxygene CyanogenMod kernel. Is there a better kernel I can get?

It's not that I'm not satisfied with the kernel I run, it's just that I'm certain there's some better one out there.
EDIT: What do you think of the kernel labeled Tiamat_N1-v4.1.0? From here: http://tiamat-dev.com/mahimahi/
the kernel you mentioned is what i am currently using as testing so far its working good with MIUI 2.3.23 and it offers up to 1.2GHZ overclocking which is not stable on my nexus at least

I have been having 3G mobile network issue with CM7 base ROM. On certain location, I cannot download and make or receive calls. my 3G icon arrows show upload activities but no download happening. Okay, try to go as low with the minimum as stable
With max freq I don't go over 1.2 GHz, some use up to 1.5 but that guzzles battery
For gov I use intellidemand or lionheart depending on the kernel
Sent from my HTC Incredible S
I use SetCPU with max: 1,4. Everything above freezes my device and screws battery life. gov: ondemand or lionheart
My sweet spot for oc is 1.2 max, with ondemand/lionheart gov. I don't see any need to go beyond that as all apps and games run well and smooth with that setting. However i've try max of up to 1.5 without any freezing or crash problem.
Also using oc daemon to set oc values, this eliminate lag (sleep - wake), experienced when im using oc apps such as setcpu (thanks markj for the guide)
Sent from my Incredible S using xda app-developers app
I'm running 1.5 GHz with no problems. I even got it up to 1.7 but I put it down to 1.5. If you can, after you OC, you can try run the stress test in setcpu for a bit...

Has anyone found a fix for this, it's driving me crazy. I like the CM10 Very much, but i can't use it without being able to hear. I keep going back to DarkRaider 1.5.5 which doesn't have any issues.

Do you know if it's a ROM issue, or a Kernel Issue? I've tried a couple of different Kernels with the CM10, and, i thought, it made a little difference? but not sure.

Yep, there is one out there called "Kernel usb fix cm10". there is another one Called " KangBang Kernel 2.0", there is one built into the PACman rom that can be Fastbooted.
Langbang isn't for JB as far as I'm aware.. and if so could you link me it.? And the USB fix was the default kernel home slice uploaded (I think)
