I don't know if this is OT but here is the Gingerbread port for Spica.

Spica has a lower hardware than our Milestone/Droid. Maybe we can also use Gingerbread on our device?
Hi Folks,
After much searching I have not found satisfactory answers to my questions so I thought I would post.
I was looking at the SuckerPunch kernel and while I know it is for the Captivate, will it work on the Samsung Galaxy S i9000?
If not, is there another SpeedMod based kernel with UV/OC capabilities, up to 1.4 Ghz (so not Voodoo)? I am currently on Super Optimized and looking for a change.
Cheers
Nevermind. Check this out:

hey,
i really want to OV my galaxy, it was so much faster on 2.2.1(DOC KITCHEN)
with Damian GTO OC then now with the GB edition.
i can't find any rom/kernel for 2.3 that supports OV
is it possible?
thanks
Hi to all....i was wondering if it is possible to use a gingerbread kernel on froyo firmware....
thanks....
No it is not possible, they are not compatibe, moreover the kernel for 2.2.1 at this moment is more developed, for instance you can check "speedmod froyo" by hardcore
I want to flash a Kernel that is oc/uc -able(just to 1.3 Ghz) which is compatible to Darky´s Rom 10.1.
I am looking for that quite a while now, but finding kernels seems to be a lot harder than finding Roms. I came across the Damian Gto and the Glitch Kernel (on Xda forum) but it seems like Damian does not support 2.3.3 and the Glitch Kernel is only for MIUI ?
Could you please help a desperate noob?
thank you
If I am corrrect from memory Tegrak have a kernel that allows oc/uv they have a few apps on the market to also control it. I know they have some for JVP/Q. Darky 10.1 I believe is JVH I'm sure they did one for JVH.
Good Luck
I will look into that and try to help!
thank you
I used the Tegrak OC app, which works but is not really stable.
And Yes, you are right Darkys 10.1 is JVH based...
Why are Kernels so difficult to find? especially for Gingerbread?
I am still searching...
