In my opinion this is not possible since you only have one activesync client.
Would be nice though....
ok heres is the situation, i have 2 exchange accounts, and i can access one via IMAP but then i dont have same sync up as an exchange
can one of the gods write a program for this
Gods any ideas - im sure nothing is out of your capabilities
http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive...lic.pocketpc.activesync/2006-09/msg00251.html
just found the above link, havent tried it yet
made the registry change but cant see any ability to add any further excange accounts!
someone - anyone - GODS do you have an answer to this?
I have tried and tested this solution however havent had the required results!!! I have an exchange server (my own) and my laptop (work) and I am trying to synch so that I have all my calendar appointments on my phone and my own exchange server! When I synch with my work laptop I get all my own calendar onto the laptop but not on the phone!!! any ideas on how to work around this issue????
Basically I want to synch 2 calendars!! Surely there must be an easier way!!!
As far i know its not possible. it works like outlook. Outlook support (until now) only 1 Exchange account (if u use RPC-HTTP you can switch profiles). And on a PDA there is only one client available. And other technical issue is security, like blackberry, there is a remote wipe function (wipe your PDA if your PDA get stolen). And this not possible if you have 2 exchange accounts (in case of 2 different domains example 2 different companies). Policies on the PDA will be forced by the exchange to make this possible.
So to give you a conclusion, until now its not possible. However if somebody find a hack, it could be possible. But microsoft doesnt support it (yet)

cheers sand bunny thought I maybe attempting the impossible!!
Bearing in mind I have two exchange calendars - is there a workaround that may enable me to get my work calendar in my kaiser? Is there an app that allows you to send the calendar file to my phone in a single file format and then enable me to load into the kaiser calendar? Alternatively is there a calendar sharing facility or publish claendars that may enable me to use both calendars in my kaiser??
anybody got any experience of using the following app:-
http://www.odysseyinc.com/subpages/Software/On-Schedule/PocketPC.htm#multiple
seems to state it can do what I am after - have installed it and trying to get the thing to work though it appears pretty complex!!!

Do you use GPRS or UMTS 2 sync your PDA? Or do you use the computer?
I use UMTS2 - I tried that On Schedule software and it doenst appear to do what I need it to! I have tried the registry change and then synched with the desktop pc as well as the exchange server and that doesnt work!!!
Even sent a .ics of my work calendar for the next week and that didnt work!
Surely it shouldnt be this difficult!!!
i do this. here is what i do.....
I have an exchange server that i use active sync with. this server is at company 1.
i have XpressMail running at company 2 that connects to an exchange server.
I have 2 calendars and 2 email accounts that are always in sync. I also have 2 address books. pretty neat.
at company 2, my desktop PC is always on.
Id runner that is exactly what I want to achieve - how do you do that? is it something that XpressMail has built in as I cant get anything to achieve this with Outlook 2007, exchange 2007 and active sync!
XpressMail is a free feature on all AT&T / Cingular smartphones.
if you do not have AT&T then you cannot use it.
http://www.wireless.att.com/businesscenter/solutions/email-messaging/xpress-mail-personal-howto.jsp
I also use Facade. since Facade has an xpressmail plugin, i get both calanders and inboxes on my home screen.
rules me out then! back to the drawing board!
has anyone used pocket mirror? http://www.chapura.com/downloads_trials.php
Perhaps this warning is unnecessary for most users here but be careful where you install XpressMail because your employer might have a policy against it.

I just called Chapura and they said this product only works via cradled sync so I didn't bother speaking further.

I have it.
One exchange server is my company serveur (used by activesync on my laptop)
The second one (maybe it's the trick) is one OTA (mail2web.com)
Working like a charme.
I am synchronizing with my laptop which has Outlook account on a server, my home (stand alone outlook) and mail2web.
rom I have two exchnage servers one mail2web personal and one work exchabge server! I want to synch over the air for my personal exchange account however would be happy to synch via laptop for the work exchange! this is where the problem starts! does your solution resolve that? I only really want the calendar to synch but just cannot find a solution which intergrates with two calendars!
jdsx I would be happy to synch over the pc for my work calendar as I could do this at the end of the day! do you think chapura will cater for this?
Has anyone spent any time comparing these two apps?
I really like Moxier. Even though it doesn't give you direct view access to your contacts or calendar, it does sync them and allow you to access your contacts from within an email and it gives you calendar alerts in your notification bar.
Touchdown has great support. It allows direct view of contacts and calendar.
Both support activesync push.
Right now, I'm trying to determine which one I'll be paying for.
The battery life seems to be a little bit better with Touchdown, but I can't say for certain.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Been usin' TD for about 5 months now, since the early betas, and it never ceases to impress me.
Yeah, I've been using TD off and on for the last few weeks.
I decided to test Moxier the other day when they sent me an email about the limited release.
I like Moxier in a lot of ways but I'm convinced it's not as refined as TD and it tears my battery down where TD doesn't appear to affect it at all.
I think I will be sticking with TD.
I do wish that handled folders as well as Moxier but all in all, I think TD is a better product.
Thanks for the input.
Just got notified of TD 3.0 today. Seems cool so far. Not sure what's change exactly. Something about accelerated push.
Touchdown is way better than moxier. Te mere fact that you can select multiple emails for deletion is worth it.
I love the synching of everyhtign else as well.
Calender, contacs.
Yes, touchdown kicks ass on Moxier.
Moxier has the ability to do what you are asking. Multiple selects to move, archive, delete etc.
I am using Moxier Pre Release because TD won't handle my mailbox (not sure why).
It does do a number on the battery and I would not purchase it until that gets fixed. It also seems to be turning push on all the time. Service keeps reloading itself and that may be linked to the battery issue. Moxier team has some work to do, definitely. But don't count them out just yet, there's some things that they are definite doing right.
Now we have another option ROADSYNC from DATAVIZ. They released a beta version for now.

I tried it. It won't let me trust my self-signed cert so I can't use it yet.
I think TD is still the best bet. I just wish it would let me download the current content of select folders instead of only what is new. That's the one thing Moxier does that nothing else so far can do.
Have you guys tried Haykuro's H build, it has an Inbuid exchange client developed by HTS itself. it is by far the best one. almost as feature rich as any WinMo phone. You can even send and accept calender invitations. plus the contacts sync with phone contacts and it will show both GMail contacts and Exchange contacts. it is fast, feature rich, very low battery consumption. I am sure when the release build comes out All Moxier's and touchdown's will be out of business. cauz HTC one is free & some one will port it from Sapphire's build to released G1 cupcake build.

i prefer to have a fullty functional, stable working phone with myfaves.
I mostly agree with Henchman.
I don't mind being on the bleeding edge to some extent, but with certain apps still not working with the Haykuro builds and htc exchange apparently fubar'ing calander entries, I'm inclined to wait just a little bit longer.
I am tempted every day though. I may bite the bullet and do it anyway, I just haven't reached that point yet.
Backup your phone to NAND and test it out. Worst case, you re-flash with your previous build. I'm going to try it this weekend.
I'm horny for native exchange support, I really am.
Native exchange plus native USB or WiFi tethering makes me want to jizz my shorts. Not sure when or if the latter will arrive, but I will keep hope alive.

Well, I went ahead and flashed theDude's version even without exchange support. I just hope that it gets added soon. Right now, this is just a solid build and I'll live without exchange for a while longer if I have to.
i find myself unwilling to pay for an app that will become part of the OS soon, especially at the cost for touchdown and moxier.

Don't hold your breath.
I flashed the Haykuro update, and yes, it does exchange.
But the email client is still as lame as ever.
No multiple email selects to delete multiple emails.
Is there a way to extract that exchange program from Haykuros version so that we can use it on other 1.5 versions?
Been using MailShadow since the beginning.
Prefer it over TouchDown as it syncs all your exchange data with Gmail (contacts/calendar/email) so you get to use the built in Google apps. It's also better since it makes your ENTIRE exchange mailbox available via the gmail app.... all your folders (labels), etc. I do have TouchDown as a backup though just in case.
Only downside is that it needs to run on a desktop computer at all times to sync- doesn't matter to me though as my computer is always on.
Haykuro new ADP1.5Hr4
Upcoming features in ADP1.5Hr4:
+ Newer SuperUser app
+ HTC E-Mail client. (Exchange support should work.. more info on this feature as i progress)
+ Based on newer firmware.
Had both.
Moxier has too many bugs. Contacts with "work"-numbers not getting synced. Force closes if you click on the header of a mail.
No notification if a new mail is in a folder (have set up some rules on the server to see important mails directly).
Notification itself is crap. If you open Moxier directly, not through the statusbar, the icon will never disappear.
TD is working way better..
Support of Moxier is worst. Takes weeks to get any information..
TouchDown gave me a free license since I am a T-Mo employee so I use TouchDown....and I really like it.
I made the move from my loved but aging HTC Fuze to the Samsung Captivate...I was waiting on Windows Phone 7 but the wait was killing me.
Anyway, I wanted to see what was generally considered the best way to sync Outlook's contacts, calendars, tasks and notes.
I downloaded DejaOffice along with the Compainion. The Companion piece expires after 14 days, so was wondering if there was anything else out there.
So far, I like this set up...it isn't bad...
Thanks,
Brian
I like Touchdown by Nitrodesk. It isn't perfect, but it's dependable. It has a 30 free trial with all functions available.
HTH
Edit: Should mention this syncs with an Exchange server. I don't know if it syncs with Outlook directly.

After my fair share of searching and trying this and that I settled on gSyncit. Works good so far. Yes, it goes through Google. It gets the tasks right and handles contact pictures.

Does the Google Apps Synch for MS Outlook only work if your business switches totally to Google Apps? I need to keep my info on my company's Exchange server and sync it up with the phone, not move or transition to another server or anything like that.
Can this do simple sync contacts, calendar, and notes?
I set up the outlook web mail here at work (RPC over HTTP) and used the e-mail client to just hook up through that. Works fine for me but I may be missing some functionality you are looking for.
Well, I haven't seen anyone successfully replace the NC contacts app with the generic Android one, but I found something almost as good ... if you're willing to pay.
If you download Touchdown for Exchange from the market (demo version, have to pay to use it for more than 30 days), you can set up your gmail address as an exchange account (login is the full e-mail address, server is m.google.com). It'll sync contacts w/the Exchange server ... and by default, sync those with your "phone's' contact list.
I've tried it, and confirmed autocomplete for contacts now works in gmail.
Some caveats:
* While Touchdown can handle more than one exchange account, it does so with "profiles." You switch between them -- and when you're in one profile, you'll only have access to the contacts from that one. I've got my phone set up with both my personal gmail and my office's google apps account ... so now I'm using Soocial to sync their contacts (non-ideal), and having touchdown just bring down the office stuff.
* You'll want to tweak your e-mail settings to minimize how much data you're having the device get. No need to pull down your inbox again if gmail already is. I have it set not to get message bodies, to sync the minimum amount of days, etc.
* It's a paid app, so you'll have to pony up the cash. And although I'd previously purchased a license key via the market on my phone, I'm not seeing the option for the license key (protected app unsupported by the current market hack?) showing up in the market for my NC. You can also enter a license key, but I'll be trying copying over my valid key from my phone and seeing what happens ...
Nice:
* It handles the calendar well as well ... so no need to bring in the Calendar.apk or CorpCalendar.apk if you don't want to.
Soocial non-ideal
Hi Wordsmith,
Just a quick question why you find Soocial to be non-ideal? I'm part of the Soocial team and we try to listen as much as we can to our users or potential users. Sounds like you are looking for a one stop place to have your address book synced. In what area do you find Soocial lacking now for it to be non-ideal.
Thanks for trying and using Soocial. ;-)

I juist wasn't really looking to have these address books synced in the first place, but I AM looking to access both from my NC, as I do from my Android phone. Since I didn't have a great solution to that, I'm using your product to include all my contacts in both of my address books.
I've used touchdown for about a year now and it's never let me down. Best exchange program hands down. Thanks for the tip to use it to sync Google contacts!
FYI: you can sync only contacts if you choose and the server is m.google.com w/ssl in case anyone needs it.
Hi this its my first please go easy. I'm disappointed now with the galaxy note and Android. I need a decent calendar as I record all my work and then search by client to find my history and details and then paste into invoices from outlook on my laptop
Here's the story;
I've had the old HTC windows phones hd2 tytn etc and used stylus then touch synced outlook etc. Then got an iPhone4 to try out. The calendar was poor as it wouldn't let me search far back, found ical app which is brilliant. Now I'm not a fan of apple as its far to restrictive and you have to jailbreak to free it. Then along came the note, brilliant, large screen stylus notes, everything I want. So I've had it month and finally took the plunge to get outlook onto goggle calenear and s planner. What a nightmare, first I have outlook 2002 so finally get appointments to google then synced to phone. thought I'd use google calendar and phone and not outlook. Can't search easily on google calendar and s-planner crashes when searching. I do have a history of 5000 events though going back 5 years, but no problem with iPhone or old windows 6.5.
My conclusion galaxy note brilliant but let down by Android. Also apps are battery draining and data usage restrictions difficult. Now I know why ios will prevail and that is just as disappointing. Sorry for long post.
I can empathize with you. I used to be a happy user of Palm Desktop, which worked 100% as expected. Then I was forced into the Outlook world, which almost worked (through Activesync), but it had its glitches, like suddenly not connecting or producing duplicate entries, which consequently would give me multiple alarms for the same event. Now I am using a Note, with S-Planner and Google calendar and it doesn't seem as solid as Outlook, not to mention Palm Desktop.
Still, Outlook has never been a perfect piece of software and I won't miss it much. If Samsung managed to put together a sensible version of KIES, it would be enough for me.
Alternatively, if you really depend heavily on Outlook, why not try a third party synchronizing software, like Companionlink http://www.companionlink.com/ ?
Trouble is google calendar is to basic for me and has stopped syncing the last 3 months but has all the older events ? even though out is on my s-planner, so i think i need outlook. I do have the 2002 version though which not very compatible.
I don't know why the s planner is force closing when searching.
My key essentials are outlook sync to phone and search.
I would get outlook 2010 if this would help sync as I don't want to go back to iPhone
the iPhone app was weekcal by utilitap which was great.
I also use Outlook 2002 (when I have to), since later versions, especially 2007 and 2010 are even worse than that. They seem to have lots of functions, but these are not well implemented. Even though they seem to work, they are buggy and instead of quietly doing what they're supposed to, produce lots of infamous Outlook secret error codes for you to resolve. I don't have time for this kind of game.
Google calendar misses some functions, but as far as I am concerned, it synchronizes well all the events I put into S-Planner. It looks like there's a problem in your setup. Do you have automatic data synchronization turned on on your Android phone? Do you synchronize while connected to WiFi? Or maybe your data transfer is somehow blocked when on 3G network?
I do have data sync on and sync via wifi. Good point I will change this. May do a hard reset as I am not using as my main phone yet, just trying to get everything stable before I transfer. Shame about all this though as it is a great phone.
Thanks for your help.
This may help re the search crashes in S-Planner - I noticed this as well, immediately after a recent firmware update. Before that, S-Planner search worked fine. I plan to register with Samsung and raise a ticket or ask a question - the more of us that register and complain, the quicker it will be fixed, so I'd encourage you to do the same.
Further to the search crash. It's tied to the Google Calendar (that S-Planner interacts with). Called Samsung New Zealand for support and what a surprise, they didn't even want to talk to me about the problem. Figured it out for myself with the help of a little forum searching - it seemed that that the calendar cache was conflicting with the firmware update. Backed up data, forced the calendar to close from Manage Applications, rebooted, and now the search works fine - I've run about 5 searches and all seems good so far. Re syncing with Outlook - I sync using Kies with Outlook 2007, no problems so far.
Logged a query with samsung and just done a factory reset and now have Kies installed on my PC. It wont sync with outlook 2002 contacts or schedule get message "an error has occurred attempting to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt"
Looking on forums there seems to be a problem with kies or I dont know if it is a problem with outlook 2002. I could upgrade to 2003 (I like the week view of 2002) then the google sync software would work hopefully for the outlook to google calendar? Idealy just want reliable local sync from outlook to Note, just like with my iphone to weekcal (sorry to say the iphones looking like gods gift at the moment).
Hopefully ICS will put all this right.
Simple answer for you - I use outlook for work all day and I sync using myphonexplorer. It does more than just sync, install programs allows you to text via laptop etc. Best of all its free - syncs via wifi or usb or bluetooth. Its nothing short of perfect for my needs. Syncs contacts, notes, diary etc
Same issue for me with ActiveSync.
While I was on GB no matter what application I used the sync never happened. The application just pops a message that the server refused the connections or some thing of the sort. After a few searches I found out that my Org's mail policies are on stricter side and they do not allow syncing on certain androids unless they support encryption. As Samsung has not implemented it, I had to check my mails on webmail.
But looks like even ICS is a disappointment on this front. I flashed an ICS ROM and checked, but no luck on MS EAS
Jorte Calendar?
This maybe not be germane to all your problems, but I struggled with the native Samsung calendar / tasks app to sync properly - especially with the widget view.
I switched to Jorte Calendar. It syncs perfectly AFAICT with Google calendar, has great tasks support and about a million different customisable widget views.
Unfortunately, searching appears to be its Achilles' heel... which I guess for you means its no go.
On the PC end, I have switched to Em Client. All so far is syncing fine. Note, tablet, PC, cloud; calendar & contacts.
Could not get myexplorer app utility to work either. Got duplicates of calendar appointments (total of 5000 appointments twice !)
Restored from back up and now still have no
Appointments , events on my note.
Taking too much of my time up.
Still using iPhone for general day to day.
One thing I have noticed though is how much battery my note has in reserve after getting rid of apps, like battery saver, juice defender etc. Ironic really.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
