Hi,
I'm new here so please forgive me it i post an already known issue.
I flashed my sgs using KIES with the registry trick. Since installing froyo the calling function of my phone got stuck 2 times. It shows the green active call icon and on opening the call interface it is all gray, no button klickable. I think it happens when both people talking finish the call at the same time. Switching to flight mode does not work and i cant place an other call. Rebooting the Phone helps.
I hope maybe someone has an idea how to fix it other than don't finish call and wait for the other end.
Thanx in advance for your help!

Sounds like a network problem. Can you call out?
sorry about the really late reply the cable line went down leaiving me without internet.
yes i can make calls also i've notice if i press the volume key before the answer key i am able to answer the phone sometimes. though i would relly like to figure out a way to get it working regular.
Wipe and reload your rom and see if it still happens.
no problem solved i feel like a idiot for not doing that. i had ruled that out since i've been using the rom since jf released it and the problem only occured yesterday. thanks
I've been having this problem for a few months now. I'm from holland and I already emailed my provider but the told me they can't help me.
So there are a few things happening:
My screen lights up but there's no message coming in. A few minutes (or hours) later I get the message that was supposed to be received at the time it lit up. Sometimes when I go to comm manager and turn the radio on and off or just soft reset the phone, I also receive the texts.
I send/receive messages when I start using the phone, like when you open a menu or something.
Sometimes I keep getting the same texts over and over again from the same person.
I've tried a few different ROMs so that can't be the problem.
Someone told me about flashing a new radio maybe that could do it?
Please help me??
Thanks!
Seems like the same problem as me
i'm also from the netherlands..
i hope someone knows a fix.
Hi, like the title says, whoever calls my phone basically gets sent straight to voicemail. On my side, the phone rings once and stops.
I have the latest NRG GTX ROM installed and hard reset the phone every time flash it. This probably has been happening since mid April and I have been flashing my phone since late December and had no problem until mid April.
I called AT&T and asked if they could help and they tried giving it different amount of rings before it goes to voicemail. That didn't work either... I have posted in the NRG forum and nobody could help, besides telling me to hard reset and Vol up+down, which didn't work either.
So... if anybody experienced the same problem as me that fixed it or have an idea on how to fix it, please respond! I need your help! THANKS!!
Its in the Call Forwarding settings.
Hi there.
The answer to your issue lies in the Call Forwarding settings.
Use Touchflo to go to @Settings' and hit 'All Settings' to enter the Windows menus. The following is in WM6.1 so maybe slightly different if you are using 6.5. Hit the 'Personal Tab' and select 'Phone'. Then select the 'Services' tab, highlight 'Call Forwarding' and then hit 'Get Settings...'.
You will then see a variety of settings and tock boxes that relate to call forwarding and in particular. In the drop-down box for 'Forward After:' change the value to something longer - like 30 seconds...hit ok, hit ok. Done
OMG! Thanks, left of centre. You saved me the trouble of returning the phone for a new one. Idiots at at&t should learn from guys like you that know whats going on. Much appreciated and thanks again for your help!!
Sorry for bringing this up from the dead but this was the only thread that was right on with the problem.
I have a captivate running perception and same problem.
I was just wondering if anyone knew how to fix or change the forwarding settings on this phone to prevent this exact problem?

search search search. same issue has been reported before.
you need to re-calibrate your proximity sensor trough hidden menu. search in this sub-forum, there is a step by step guide somewhere.
edit:

Big thanks Flying_Bear!!! I had the same problem and it really made me crazy cause I couldn't neither check contacts, calendar etc. during conversation nor end phone calls. Now everything runs smooth as it should.

I'm not a noob by any means. I've done all the normal troubleshooting. I've looked for other similar topics and none exist for this phone. I've tried everything that I can think. Having said that, please excuse me if i missed anything.
Basically, my issue is that I can't accept 95% of my incoming calls. I try to.... And the call hangs up when I press answer. I have the regular stock google dialer. I'm stock but rooted and unencrypted. I realize this may have to do with LTE still being on and not H+ but it's really annoying. It does switch to H+ but still hangs up.
I tried a few custom ROMs and the issue still exists. I've ensured that notifications are checked in the dialer app.
Someone please help me. Maybe I'm missing something simple. It's really annoying not being able to accept a call and having to call people back for every call received.
Please and thanks
And now I've officially tried EVERY ROM for this phone and still.... Can't answer incoming calls. Ugh. Someone please help
Have you tried updating your radio? Have you tried setting your phone in non-LTE so at most it only utilizes H+/H/3G?
Have you cleared cache and tried it in safe mode?
@zephiK thank you for the ideas. Flashed the new radio from your thread... Issue still persists. I haven't gone to just 3g yet because I use my phone a lot for work (law enforcement) and need the LTE speed when identifying people
Edit: tried using 3g and 2g anyways.... Still hangs up whenever I answer incoming calls. Ugh

I have cleared both cache and dalvik cache. I can't get safe mode to work..... I'm using liquid smooth at the moment and when holding power off it doesn't show the option for safe mode
Well I figured out holding reboot gives the safe boot option. My phone bootlooped. I'm going to have to totally undo everything on my phone. Lock and unroot my phone. Then I'll start over using only stock without unlocking or rooting first then continue this trouble shoot.
If anyone can think of anything else please let me know thank you and merry Christmas
I had the same issue with mine. I thought I was going crazy. Hope you get it worked out. I sent mine back to Motorola yesterday for a refund.
Sent from my iPhone 6 Plus using Tapatalk
Update : Solved....
I wiped everything and started over. I flashed stock and went into safe mode. Calls worked. So it was easy to figure out... It was a downloaded app. A call blocker that was blocking everything instead of just the calls it was supposed to.
Thank you to those who offered opinions, suggestions, and comments
I had the same issue with the N5 on att. Was rooted and used a tool that opened a Sprint "only" service menu. Played with a setting and boom, i had voice. Data worked no problem throughout this ordeal.
Have the same problem with a Nexus 6, suddenly the phone did not show up any incoming call screen/window or way to slide out to answer an incoming call. It rings but there is not way to answer the call, even trying to go to the task bar and see if there is a window up there to answer it, no notification or window to press and answer.
This phone is not rooted nor have an application to block calls. it is with lollipop 5.01.
Any ways to solve this horrible bug? This bug is driving me nuts.
