Hello,
I would like to know is it possible in someway to use the fonts in windows PC on Galaxy S?
I already tried to copy and rename the fonts then replace but no luck.
What changes I have to do to make this work?
Thanks
Do a search there's already a thread on how to do this.

I already did that, but what I am looking for is how to make the windows fonts from my pc work on android. Because if I copy the fonts to system/fonts on android it will not simply work. I think it should be converted/changed. I really want to know.
Thanks again
Again, theres a thread on how to do this, involves a script. No idea what you are doing using your method.

?
I know how to change the android font. I use the Root Explorer for that and it did the trick. My problem is when I use a ttf font from any source it will not work while when I use any font that are taken from an andoid ROM and posted in the web it work.
So, what does make the android fonts special? and what I have to do to make any font taken from my PC the same?
Thanks
Can someone help me out figure out how to switch my fonts or use type fresh cant seem to get it to work
Have a friend having the same problem. Cant seem to get any method to work. Is there any solution? I'm i missing something?
I have and Evo and its a simple flash with one of the font packs. No such luck with this Aria.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
There's a thread somewhere in here about this for the aria. Its definitely feasible ...I think jason911 or whatever his exact name is knows how to do this ...

Search the forums for fonts. Theres a thread full of flashable font packs that I can verify work on the aria as I've used several of them.

Not a problem at all, the main thing is to help each other
I used Churapa's method too (thanks!) so I don't know if the flashable zips work or not, but here's a link to the EVO thread with more than 200 font packs.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=801160
Even if you find you can't flash them to your Aria, you can still download the zip file and get the fonts out of them to use with the ADB method.
I have used the flashable zips from that link the biggest problem I had is some of them are to big of a font size. I would recommend doing a nandroid first in case you're not happy with the results
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
If you're not happy with the results, you can always just flash the original fonts back. They are freely available on the internet if you didn't back them up.
Problem is, all screenshots are for HDPI devices (480x800). And some of them look ugly on the Aria.
I would venture to say that most of them look ugly, and not just on the Aria. But it's not that difficult to move on to the next font either. To each their own...

Hello,
well i hope you will be able to help me.
I modified 2 xml files from touchwiz30launcher.
Default_homescreen & styles.
default for changing dafault icons and styles for transparent background.
But i have a TW FC once the update has been applied using CWM.
Anybody know why ? i use same compiling method as for framework-res but...
I don't know where the error comes from.
Hope someone can help me.
Thanks in advance.
I think you might have to decompile it with dependencies. Try option 10 in APK Manager, and then drag twframework.apk in the command prompt and press enter.

Hello All,
After many tries and issues :crying: now I can make a little thread about the way to change all fonts on XZ.
I use Rom toolbox to do it.
It can be done by simple explorer with root right (ex : ES explorer => /System/Fonts), Rename the fonts you have by the name of Systems fonts you want to change.
Of course, do a back up of your system fonts first and make a system back up (with CMW or TWRP) to go back.
1) you need a font pack with one Regular, one Bold at least. An italic and bold italic can be add but i don't think it's really necessary.
It's really important to respect that because if you put a regular font instead of Bold system font, you will have bootloop.
2)Start to change the fonts :
the font which can be changed by a regular font are :
Clockopia
droidsans-bold
droidsans
roboto-light
roboto-regular
robotocondensed-regular
somaregular
somcsans-regular
the font which can be changed by a bold font are :
roboto-bold
robotocondensed-bold
somabold
the font which can be changed by an italic font are :
roboto-italic
roboto-lightitalic
robotocondensed-italic
the font which can be changed by an bold italic fonts are :
roboto-bolditalic
robotocondensed-italic
3) restart the XZ and that's all folk
From my side I used "Sony_Sketch_EF" like a regular font and "Sony_Sketch_bold_205" as a bold font (attached it this thread and see screen shot => all the XZ has Sony font)
I also attached "BIMINI" font which is a safe font (it is in relation with your taste)
Not working for me...followed your steps and some text are missing like in settings...also forgot to backup...stupid
Also sony walkman is text big al others are good...weird
have to wait untill im home and reflash rom

Or you can download and install Font Installer from the Google Play Store, which does everything for you.

I followed this guys method, and it worked like a charm now. All Apple-style emojis work are displayed in all fields.

Everything works fine!

Lastly, I do believe root is required to change permissions and place the AppleColorEmoji.tff file into /system/fonts/ I used root explorer to move the file and change permissions to 644.
