Navigation sound cutoff problem - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I noticed recently that navigation cutoff my stock music player and restore the music differently than what I can remember.before it used to lower the volume then cutoff, announce the navigation alerts, and bring back the volume of the music nicely. Now, it chops off the music announce the navigation alert, then resume the music at full volume, fade into a lower volume and back up in full volume. I tried clearing the days for both music and navigation, disabling cm sound settings for sound focus, tried all the options in the stock music player settings regarding to sound focus. Can announce do a small test for me?
I'm using cm6 nightly 203, the latest car home from the market, the latest navigation from the market, and the stock music player from the nightly.

Similarly I have noticed that when listening to Pandora while using the navigation, the music will cut off for a navigation announcement but then the music will not resume. I have to physically press play to resume Pandora playback.
Very annoying

Yeah, that's always been the case with pandora. I believe it's more of pandora's bad implementation rather than android. Hopefully pandora will implement the resume on their next version.

[Q] Low Base - Graphic Equalizer needed?

I'm using JM7, with Tayutama 1.2 and Voodoo 4 beta.
Can anyone tell me why I seem to have lost all base when playing music?
Is there a Graphic Equalizer I can use to turn it back up?
Thanks.
You haven't 'lost all bass' you are hearing the natural music without any distortion.
Voodoo lag-fix removes the infamous EQ filter Samsung enables when you plug in a Head-set.
Use the Samsung EQ if you want to mutilate your music again.
EDIT: The eq is in the music player, press Menu and options, then look for EQ settings.
Erm, I'm not pluging in a headset. Yes I am losing base, but I think it was more on the car stereo side as I've made some adjustments and I have base again.
Thanks.

Music controls on lockscreen

Hi all,
Recently bought a P9 and having an issue using music controls on the lockscreen. The only music app that seems to work with the EMUI lockscreen is the official Huawei Music Player. Every music players (including both streaming and local music players - I've tried almost every music app on the play store) lockscreen controls seem to be absent.
Can anyone help?

I use this for notifications, works at least with some players (Sony Xperia music is what I'm using)

Any way to change obnoxious "Over the Horizon" media volume preview music?

When adjusting media volume the Note 8 plays Samsung's signature brand music, Over the Horizon, to help gauge volume. (I can't post links here yet but Samsung has a youtube video of enthusiastic jazz dudes recording the song in a studio.)
Over the Horizon is far too obnoxiously loud for this task, esp with headphones. In contrast the Note 5 had calming spa music as its volume preview.
And, yes, I use a volume profile widget but frequently need to adjust the media volume depending on where I am, what I'm doing, etc.
On my locked Verizon phone I can't delete or modify the file at /system/media/audio/ui/media_preview_over_the_horizon.ogg
Any ideas?
Thanks,
KCB

Lockscreen Music Controls

With the advent of xposed for Nougat, I recently bit the bullet and made the upgrade from Marshmallow. I'm now running m00nlight 3.1 (b386).
I use the official smart cover which utilised music controls without even opening the case. This was useful for driving and generally protecting the screen.
I am an avid Poweramp user (currently using a version 3 alpha build). It used to use the default huawei lockscreen music widgets, but now it isn't working.
The option is enabled in Poweramp, the widgets work with the default huawei music player and Google Play Music app, but not a 3rd party app. I've also tried Poweramp 2 (Stable) and Stellio Music Player, to ensure it's not an app issue. This leads me to believe it's a ROM limitation.
I found a walkthrough here: https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-add-third-party-music-apps-emui-lock-screen/ but it already shows the Poweramp app as whitelisted for the lockscreen. I also added the Stellio app to hw_defaults.xml to whitelist it and that didn't work.
Furthermore, I downloaded a Huawei theme to provide a static wallpaper lockscreen as I read that could be an issue. No avail.
Xposed isn't currently enabled.
Do I have any options?
I'm interested in the much simpler customization:
To be able to jump to the previous/next song on the locked screen by using Volume Plus/Minus buttons (with the stock Music player)
This is possible with Xposed, GravityBox module...
Edit: Found a simple solution skipping songs on the locked screen by Vol +/- keys, installed Frinky MusicController from GooglePlay, it does not require root or so and it works fine with both YouTube (playlists) and Music

1 sec sound lag with car stereo over bluetooth

got a new car and bam! ~1sec sound lag with any app/web page. Even play/paus/next buttons in any apps are having a lag when I tap them. Dev options - only one codec SBC, no options to change anything there.
Any ideas how to "over run" the lag?
