where to get nandriod?
1. Spell it correctly (hint: nandroid).
2. Use google.
Buy Rom manager premium from marketplace. It is integrated for galaxy s. Need to be rooted.

I bought my Galaxy Tab yesterday and I want to know some must-have applications for it. I've already installed AZW Launcher, GO Weather and some goodies like this, but I want to know what's tablet optimized on the Market.
You didn't say if your tablet is rooted or not...

I already have Titanium Backup Full and Root Explorer. (Just downloaded again since I already had those bought on my Galaxy S)
I'm in Brazil so I can't watch NetFlix... -.-
Look in the themes and apps forum under the galaxy tab.it will give you more ideas.

Ok there is a similar post on this. Plug tablet in and charge it. While tablet is charging unplug your pc and then reboot it up to reset the usb ports. take your tablet and connect usb cable to pc. Ensure you have the samsung usb drivers loaded. Put your tablet in download mode and using odin try reflashing.

You will have to flash your stock rom. It's available here on xda. I recommend using a windows 7 pc and a program called odin3 1.7. Don't worry too much, there's lots of insructions. Read everything twice.
I have ROM Manager installed because I have read of folks using it with the SGT 7", but it is detecting my Tab as an I-9000. Anyone know how to get this to work right?

Manager is not compatible with the P1000.
Try searching/reading before creating topics, it helps.
But he sent from sch-i800
Is that a Verizon tab? I am not so sure about rom manager for that either though.
But frankly I would be asking too, is first time I heard.

I did search before, that's how I read that people use it. Just can't find the thread again. Plus XDA restricts your ability to search if you are a new user.

...huh?
How do you mean restricts, I am unaware of any restrictions on search or even why there would be a restriction?
I think you must be mistaken.
definitely not restict.
It may not be as good as google.
BTW, you can use google with the site: directive
Rom manager SCH-I800 site:http://forum.xda-developers.com/
But I think TheATHEiST is right. ROM Manager doesn't support any of Galaxy Tab 7 variant.
Basically if ROM Manager does't find your device, it is not supported.
And don't you try to flash other device's ROM into it.
It may be hard to get out from it. Once the bootloader is screwed, you have a brick.
Only way is to use kernel that has Chainfires CWM manager built in. I cant remember which kernel it is though and think it would only be for GB.
I have started to set up my old G1 as a back up phone to my Galaxy Tab 7.7 and one of the apps i want to install is XDA Premium but i can not find it. Please note that i have just recently rotted my G1, in the process to install custom recovery and update radio. Any suggestions?
untill you upgrade you may not find it, some apps won't work or even show up in the market on older roms, I assume you are donut and probably need to get to either eclaire or froyo before it will show
alternatively you can try a google search for the .apk and manually load it, it may fail but worth a shot

no no no i mean like i need a app mooded to make my phone let me install it. i have tried but it says it is non market app and i do not have the option to enable install from unknown sourses
Why not just upgrade to the official Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread for the Captivate and then u would have the option to allow installation of apps from unknown sources ?
Stock Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread i897ucKK4 Odin or Heimdall One Clicks.
