I put an i9000 ROM (Modem/CSC/PDA) on my one week old Samsung Galaxy S i9000B, as you can imagine this made a lot of changes (touch sensivity errors, sim locked message, and many others).
I spent the night looking in the forums for the right ROM (i9000B Entel Chile) and I can't find it. Could anyone tell me if there is a place where I can find it?
I'll really appreciate any help.

hello i am new to the forums and i would like to thank everyone for all the information and time you guys put in to making the roms and apps for this device.
Well i have flashed my rom and havethe htc kaiser rom but i do miss my att apps. i have searched this site and good with no luck. i am not sure if anyone cal help but do you guys know where i can get a .cab with the apps?

today i received my new mda vario from t-mobile. Of course i immediately installed some programms, but thats not enough anymore i want to upgrade to windows mobile 6 or 6.1 if possible. I searched lots of hours in this forum, but i still didn't find a good rom for me.
Could you please help me to find a good rom for me? It should have this "touchflow", to use the phone without a stylus, like an iphone. Other things are not that important...

You should search the WM6 section. You can read a lot of opinions there
I'm using the AMP ROM with very pleasant results (without need to overclock!!)

there are plenty of "Best ROM" out there...you just need to read and test one by one. There is no 1 so called-best ROM suit every individual. You have to experience it yourself. Last but not least, read before you flash. Everyone here was newbie before, it took sometimes to get familiar. But believe me, all sources are here in XDA.

I'll be heading to guangzhou for my companys trip on the 20th jan!
i would like to purchase a samsung captivate and a nexus s, so i did some searching and resource over google. Found a telco at this website www.22shop.com.
Guys, please advise what to look out for in these 2 phones? as i know it will be in mandarin version and hope maybe i can live with it. cos if not i will be flashing away with other roms.
Please give some advise if anyone had been to the chinese country and got yourself an android over there thanks!

You can flash a i9000 rom so instead of looking for att captivate in the search section look for samsung i9000, that is the international version of the phone. You can flash a US ROM more than likely and it is very easy. Please look there...

Well this is my second thread as my first was an ass itch problem compared to this bloody thing.
I have an mda vario III on t-mobile uk, i downloaded a compac V rom, as i was flashing i realised i was flashing the wrong thing, so i slipped the battery out hoping to stop the flash before it started, now my phone wont switch on, and yes
******IM A NOB`ED********
please help me, if you cant please come to my house, rape my cat and kick the living daylights outa me!!!!!! i deserve it.

Hi Welcome to the forums
Enter bootloader and flash your original rom (Read the sticky, that will help you a lot with the terminology and other stuff).
Also, this thread is in the wrong place it will be moved to the general section.

at first of all i want 2 say that this forum is a great thing!
so many apps and other things 2 find in here...
i´m from germany...
so, now my little problem:
yesterday i´ve bought a new samsung galaxy, a great phone, i love it!
...so i started 2 search for some changes and apps 4 my phone...
...today i´ve found out that there are ROMS which can be flashed through ODIN...
so my question is: can someone tell me what roms are? what they are good for?
why are there so many, differences?
i know, probably a very stupid question, but i´m a bloody rookie in all this stuff!!!
so please help / explain me this things in some sentences...

Read through the threads. They have all the info you need. And a word of advice, questions like this, what is a rom, get people here very mad. Not me personally but others, as there is a perfectly good working search bar which will give you all the answers that you need.
Go through the general thread. All the info is there. This is a good place to start
