Hey..I'm looking for a good expresso rom, now i'm on iCyanoX00, but it's "iphone flavoured" and I dun like that xD (i love its lockscreen aw!) - ( and i can't get heroleds to work -.- )
So, could u tell me which one out there is the best expresso rom?
don't tell me to read the rom bible, cuz it's not updated xD

SuperD is 1.6 ROM. SuperE is 2.1 ROM.

Cyanogen is something like base, master custom ROM. Only few try to build their ROMs based off AOSP source code, most of devs mod Cyanogen...Mod.
Chromatic is just themed Cyanogen.
About look - Android looks pretty the same, most ROMs affect things like kernel or system behaviour, not looks. Sense ROMs are pretty eye-candy, but IMO they are too heavy for G1. Only few vanilla Android ROMs are themed.
Android alone gives you AWESOME ability of customising alomst everything you want. You just have to search long enough. Trust me, you can change everything (of course it have some borders, too).
So what do you think i should use? It comes down to SuperE and Cyanogen.

Why not try both? Start with SuperE, it is meant to be fast CyanogenMod 5. I think you'll like it.
For me The best 2.1 I flashed is HTCCLAY's SuperBAD CM5 v1.7 awesome work its fast stable and i love this one. you can give it a try..

Im wondering if there are any roms without any bugs or defects in the jvq 2.3.4 area... Im new to the galaxy s but not new to customization i had the x10mini pro lol wat an awful fone had it customized to the max .... But here for the galaxy there are so many darn different romsbi cnt figure out which one is best or for my kernel.... Please help? I want a rom which wont make me lose out on any feature from stock... Customisation is wat m lookin for... I mean like i just wna make fne fancier lol altho im totally fine with stock ginger firmware... I just feel the need to customize it.wit one of the outstanding xda rom dev's

Man i think its the best rom D the homescreen sliding is SMOOOTH, the lockscreen is not, but its not smooth anywhere. i love this rom.
Well as some of you may know, i have delved into making roms!
Being as we are being forgotten about i thought what the hell and gave it a bash....
my first attempt took 8hrs to build.
I used an old 2.3.3 Chinese rom.....proper crap rom! was odexed and bloated with ****.
I deodexed it, stripped the crap from it, added apps, changed the wallpapers on main screen, added in busybox, an su, languages, removed other tit bits.
I even managed to get it booted up! fully working...fact it was so old...but it was my first ever attempt.
So im looking to make another. using newer 2.3.5 base for now.
It will not have apps2sd built in!
reason for this is it plays havoc with our data2sdext3 scripts. when we do have it...there seems to be a cap at some point to how many apps we can have installed memory wise.
So what you guys want?
please nothing extreme....ie no ICS.....i can't do that right now!
it will be a 2.1 based rom...with fb button usage.
themed to a good taste..
so ideas please guys....

i want the best look but stock rom because i use the camera and video very much. there are too many rom in forum. cannot decide. also i dont know which rom is stock and which not.please suggest.
i dont want extra function like more ghz speed or anyhting like that. i just want a flawless rom but good look. i like cici rom there but saw it is not stock lg based.please suggest me a rom and also the link. this is my first post and i tried to find beautiful rom thread but only best rom was there which is not what i want. please answer me.
The best rom for Camera/video will be a stock based rom.
The best looking rom would be a CM7/CM9 based rom.
For speed etc, both can handle it.
CM7 based roms have really poor camera quality.
So I would suggest Zeus, for tweaks, like OC etc.
Or Marvel v9 for fewer tweaks than Zeus but a more appealing UI.
i tried instal the Marvel9 but it does not install normal. it goes into some aroma manager. i am very new and dont know that all to fear death of my phone. then i saw superpressed rom. installed it. really liking it than the stock rom. the man making it is very good. i pressed the thanks button there.

there is NOTHING to be scared about Aroma Installer! I too did not know anything about it! But it was so simple
Personally I don't really like Surpressed because it a bit too colorful... But that's up to you

This +1, if i knew an easy way to theme it to a CM7ish look i would be probably using it, i really don't like the status bar icons
I'm using Boype's with holo launcher and i really like my phone look atm
Look into my noob how to, I recently updated on the ROM part. This should give you quite a bit of an overview
