Who says WP7 isn't gonna sell, eh?
The HD7 is outselling the more established phones on Amazon's Bestseller list.

thx for the reply but i need to be sure since i dont wanna waste like $600 on a phone which cant make calls. although i did search around some other forums, i think it should work. how sure are u that it will work?
From what I see now the HD7 is 10th place, while the rest of the Top 9 are all Android phones (and 1 blackberry)

There is no such thing as SIM-locked Nexus. It doesn't exist. Search next time.

thank you for your fast respond
i mean before it is for T-mobile ( contract )
and there is one shop unlocked for me to work on all mobile network
so when i will install the new room it will stay unlocked for all mobile networks
inside USA and outside .
thank you again
The shop just took your money.
It was never SIM locked. NEVER. EVER.
It would always work and will always work on any networks that it's compatible with (3G on 900/1700/2100 MHz bands).
It would never work and will never work on incompatible networks (3G on 850/1900).

Oh the irony
AFAIK, it has been reported multiple times as "advertised as SIM-locked", and everyone that actually bothered to check found it SIM-unlocked.
And the Nexus in question is T-Mo one, original FW. I happen to have one and know first hand it's not SIM locked and never was. Your point being?
Just because you pissed me off with search thing, read:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=739034&page=2
When you're done, please kindly shove your irony back. There is NO SIM LOCKED NEXUS IN EXISTENCE.
there is a cell phone provider in canada.
not tmobile or att..
they claim to get fresh inventory of N1's
they claim that they will be locked to their network only and cannot be unlocked at all..
level one rep couldnt tell me what band they use-- just that phones will use their own 3G
they will sell phones outright but said that they are useless on another network..
what stock can i put in what i was told?
thanx
Most probably - 0 credibility.
A nexus one CANNOT be carrier-locked. End of story. No matter where you get your N1 from, it WILL come UNLOCKED.

And it's about 100th time you're writing this and failing to read the reply - that ALL the SFR Nexus that were checked, weren't carrier locked at all. People report what the sales reps tell them.

It will be working on one of those. There are only 2 models of Nexus, one WILL work 3G with TMo, one WILL work 3G with AT&T. Nobody can change it without digging into HW and changing antennas, or at the very least changing the radio to restrict some of the communications - and nobody could get any of this done. HTC doesn't allow HW changes in their phones, and Qualcomm doesn't provide customized radio builds on demand (or at all).
Considering this, I believe the story of this carrier's rep has the same credibility as SIM lock of SFR Nexus - which is, 0.
im pretty sure they are going to videotron in Quebec. they use AWS.

I wasn't serious about 100 times, either
But there were 2 reports on this forum from people that bought the phone, were told that it's locked, checked it and discovered it completely unlocked.

Nobody here is a sprint or cricket phone users this is the I9300 and I9305 forum .
Flashing sprint or cricket stuff will brick our phones and in the majority of cases we would have no network as we are not in North America

Mt bad I didn't realize there was a difference between the i9305 and gt9305 sorry
No difference between them, but big difference between GT-I9305 and the American models (model numbers beginning with SCH or SGH). If you have an I9305, there is no way to flash it to a CDMA/3GPP2 network, such as Sprint or Cricket, as it's a GSM/3GPP phone. (3GPP and 3GPP2 are rival standards bodies, making deliberately incompatible standards.) CDMA requires completely different hardware from GSM.
If you have a Sprint or Verizon Galaxy S3 (both CDMA models), you can flash them to Cricket, but you should ask in the Sprint or Verizon forums, as we are not familiar with the CDMA Galaxy S3 versions.

Call Sprint (or whatever telecoms company you plan to use).
If the phone is not registered as stolen, then no problems.
If the phone is stolen, then report it to the police and eBay. You should get your money back via eBay and the thief will get nicked. It will stop the thief from selling anymore stolen phones via eBay - thus you are helping others.
I don't have insurance on my phone, so if it got stolen it would be at great expense to me. Also I have tracking software on mine, so I would be hunting the thief down.

I am looking for a bit smaller phone than my G2 and the Z3 Compact looks like the one I will go with. I see it isnt even out in the US yet, and I am on ATT. I will be buying the phone off contract though so which model should I get? I want to go with one that supports the LTE bands ATT uses, but also will have a lot of development for it. Also I need to be able to root it, and preferably unlock it, so that means any sort of ATT official model is probably out of the question, if they even get any model. Seems like only TMobile gets the Xperia phones in the US all the time.
You want the D5803. Buying it from either Clove or Handtec will get you the best price.

Just remember, like several of the threads here say, make sure the AT&T store you go to for your nanosim does not use the IMEI from the Z3C. Tell them to use the IMEI from your G2 instead.
Does it matter with whom the carrier is from?
can they be flashed or rooted?
Currently there's a procedure to unlock boot loader for all models *except* t mobile. The procedure isn't simple though. Look in rom/devs sub forum.

does it matter if I buy a AT&T version or Sprint Version?
Would it affect performance or what bands I can connect to?

That I don't know. I got a Sprint model and it seems to work fine with att, though I've been stuck at home like everybody else so I haven't really tested the network. The Sprint model is on Android 9. I don't know what the situation is on att.
Sprint does load the phone with a bunch of bloat and spam ware, most of which you can disable. I imagine att does the same. I'd just buy what is available at lowest price.

from what I was told you could just flash the firmware on it to the US unlocked and that would allow more band usage?
