Yeah, probably it can do all those things.. but first we need to wait for those guys at HTC figure out how to use them.
Meanwhile please sign the petition and do whatever you can to get those guys to fix this

no it doesnt mean we can magically have a 6.0 MP camera or 30 fps video, but the playback of video could be greatly improved by getting decent 3d acceleration drivers, which HTC has yet to provide.

Oh, I thought he meant 30 fps video playback, not recording.. my mistake sorry anyway, wouldn't harm to get everyone's attention to the acceleration drivers right?
It does mean the chip supports reading image data from a 6MP sensor. It is up to the manufacturer as to what size camera sensor they actually include (in this case 3.1MP). So, no magic software update to 6MP. As for 30fps video recording, if you are talented enough programmer, you might be able to figure out how to write an app to do it. The 30fps simply refers to how often the processor can get data from the image sensor. How many frames a second you can actually record, and at what resolution, is limited by programming skills and the relatively low performance of an ARM processor.
Why is'nt 30fps video recording possible? The only limitation is hardware related, which our hardware supports. The fps isnot related to the cam unit as far as I know. Previously on my ROKR E6 and my W800 I've increased the ps from 7 to about 20. I apologise if I am wrong, this is my first week with the Kaiser and still learning , first week with any windows based phone and I'm loving it
Hey experts i request u all that can u pls extract htc diamond 2 camera app cause it does have full vga resolution with 30fps recording.
so some one pls extract or give any third party app or patch for camera recording at minimum 25fps pls, i am so fed up of camera cause when ever i have to record or capture photos of my brother's son the camera goes spooky and gives only 9 or 10fps recording and all gets
And sorry i even made a thread before for recording app but i think this will be clearer than that thread and also thanks to mods for replying in that thread and gave this little solution to improve camera recording and capturing by upgrading app from diamond 2 to diamond

i have not tried 3g video calling but i was at the assumption that it should be possible as we have front cam and we also have 3G phone their must be some way i dont know we need to explore
any suggestions on the same im realy confused on why not.Im not a techie im just trying to find out why not based on the features of our phone.But skype video call yes i can confirm as i have done it a few times

There is surely No Video call option on 3G Calling and HTC Desire HD is way superior and has great dev support than this phone.
wait for cheap dual cores as quad cores are just to hit the market..
buy micromax a85 with dual core tegra 2 @15k+ approx. but no dev. or community support ATM.

In all the Zeus Roms I've tested, there is a recurring problem and it's related to the video capture. The recording breaks/stops from time to time, and I was wondering if I'm the only one with this problem.
I've recorded a video example, please check @ 0:06. It freezes the image for almost 2 seconds
Please let me know if you have a similar problem, or what ROM you use to record flawless videos.

same here, even you get lags, i hade the same issue, it' from the phone it self.. not the rom

Actually, I think I had a better video recording experience in previous versions or different ROMs, including the stock one.
Anyone manages to successfully record videos? Please tell me what ROM do you use.

I have the same problem and as far as i know there is no solution to it. I have workaround however: I use another application for video recording - CameraPro and the downside is that I record in TV quality 720 x 480, but the video does not shutter anymore. I know is not the best solution, but at least I get usable videos.
PS: I use Zeus (for 4 months now) on version 6.37 now.

So if the problem is in the software, there must be some ROM out there that gets around this problem. I'll try some more when I have the time.

I think you can try Optimus MAX ROM from omer
I have the same problem ..
and the fact is that in froyo i had very minimum freezes . only sometime.
Does the Note support this feature? I remember I had it on my HTC desire z and I didnt imagine that Note wouldnt support it. If the hardware is ok, then what camera app should I use? I have tried a few but none worked. It is very annoying not to be able to focus during video shooting. Will I always be stuck with blurry, OOF videos? Touch-to-focus works ok when taking pictures.
Nobody knows? Is it such a big mistery? Nobody around here achieved to do that?

Well, I am still amazed. There are no Note owners around here? There are guys making roms and apps here but nobody would help me with this simple question? Is GT-N7000 capable of touch / tap to focus while video recording or not?
