Since yesterday, my phone started to get slow about syncing my mails. Before, it only took a minute before it notified me about a new mail. Now it could take more than half a day for it to notify me if I don't sync it manually. I haven't changed anything so I am confused.
Any ideas?
Are you talking about Gmail? It is the same for me. Push does not work any more. I have to refresh manualy and it takes loooong before it loads.

Noticed I can upgrade my phone to froyo again (although I already had the froyo kies gave me some month ago), maybe it's something with that to do...

I've set up automatic mailbox checking every 15 minutes. Works fine in general, but I've found two issues with it:
1) I've used KaiserTweak to disconnect active data session automatically after 1 minute of inactivity. Work ok, unless phone is sleeping. So, for instance, if GPRS/3G data connection for automatic email check is initiated while phone is sleeping, it WON'T turn off after 1 minute. When I switch phone back on from sleep and keep it awake for more than minute - then it will disconnect. Is there any way to overcome this problem?
2) Usually, when new SMS message comes in, phone is awaked and I can see the message straight on the screen. Unfortunately this is not the case with emails - when new mail arrives through automatic check, I can only hear new email sound and light starts flashing amber, but phone iself is still sleeping, and I need to turn it on manually.
Anyone stepped into these issues before and found any solutions? Thanks in advance.

It's dead easy - when you set up a new mailbox through wizard (username, password, servers etc.), the last screen asks whether you want to check email automatically every xx minutes/hours or manually...

Ah. Thanks for that, been bugging me for days
I'll keep an eye out for the issues you're having, see if it''s the same with my phone.
Ill repost in here, as i know what its like when a new thread is started, the first few replies are to search ... this is proof i have tried
Im also noticing that the "disconnect after 1 minute" doesnt work when in standby mode, which kinda defeats the object. Is there a fix anywhere so it disconnects after a minute even while in standby mode ?
Hey guys/girls...
I flashed my kaiser about a week ago with the newest official HTC wm6.1 rom (the WWE version). Everything was great, plus i finally managed to send and recieve my emails with my googlemail account...
however, since friday its been acting very slow... even opening the HTC action screen, and selecting "new sms" either took 5 minutes or just didnt do anything... I was having to soft reset every 10 minutes in order to get any life out of it! I've since got rid of my hotmail account, which i think was causing the slowness (as my kaiser auto downloaded the first 50 emails to my phone, which i believe tends to hog resources and slows everything down). Its been responding much better since then... but this morning it started being slow again, and even came up with a "noisey screen" - meaning a mixmash of pixels and colours... which didnt want to go away.
I also have the same old invisible txt when i type an SMS, but only after I've typed about 30/40 characters... and yes, ive disabled cleartype in the system and in kaisertweak.
I've installed hardly anything onto it, and i dont get why im having these issues... it was running super fast and smooth just after I'd flashed it, but its just been getting real slow again... slower than before it got flashed!
any ideas/pointers would help greatly
Also, does anyone know what BTcoreif.dll is/does?
Do a hard reset and then don't change anything until you have made sure all is running fine, then add the next change (one at a time) and wait again. That will help you isolate the cause.
I will enter a date or appointment and with in a few minutes it is gone! This has happened several-MANY times, even after I have removed the battery, and sim turned the phone on and off..Have any of you had this problem and how to correct it? Thank you,
Are you syncing with another application? Which?
Do you have bluetoothe syncing enabled - and - is it active in your calendar sync?
Does it happen randomly or only when you enter a date or appointment?
Has this happenned from when you first bought your device - or - did it begin after an update or an additional application addition?
Peace-
calander
My apts are always entered as corp. apts for my corp exchange account. This acct is set to sync every 15 minutes during the day. This is how I keep track of my time and post it to my server for accounting and billing. This didnt start happening until I had had the phone for about 2 months. Now it occurs randomly. My sync is via wiFi or At&t data link. I dont use Blue tooth. Things will work fine for several days then one day decide not to for a while. I had sat there and entered a service call 3 and 4 times only to watch it dissappear within 5 minutes. Turning the phone off, taking the battery out might fit it or might not. Then it will start working again. The next day it will work for sure. Phone has been replaced once with the same problems. I have very few apps as this is mostly a phone and time keeping tool for me.
Thank you for your help
I am having a hell of a time getting the stock mail program to work. I have it set to sync every 30 minutes but it just doesn't. The only time it pulls in emails is when I manually launch the program and click update. I have sync on and no task manager/killer installed. I'm missing important emails because of it. If I can't get it to work, I'm gonna have to go back to an iPhone 4 that the email app actually worked.
I guess I'm headed out in the morning to get in line for a iPhone 4s and gonna return my Thrill. This is ridiculous that the email program doesn't even work right and I lose 10% per hour of battery life idling. I guess I rely too much on getting email on my phone when I'm away from the pc. This phone is actually causing me to lose business because I'm missing emails. I wish everyone the best of luck with their Thrills, but I'm headed back to the iPhone side.
So my wife and I both got Thrills the day they were released. Only a couple weeks after getting them my wife started having trouble receiving MMS's. Even with the "auto-download" setting enabled MMS's stopped auto-downloading and if she pushed download it would just say "downloading" and never download until she rebooted her phone. Mine was working fine so I didn't pay too much attention. I kinda figured it was cause she messages a hell of a lot more than me and it might be a glitch there. One day I started having the same problem so I assumed I had reached the number of MMSs that she had when she started having the problem. So I deleted all my text messages in the messaging app. So she sends me an MMS today and same thing, didn't auto-download, won't download when I click the button. I refuse to reboot my phone for everything. Anyone else having this problem? Know whats going on? Have a fix that doesn't require root or a new rom?

Had the same issue when I got my Thrill, I had to edit a setting. I forget what it was.....another thing that's stopped my MMS is having a **** load of Message in my inbox that aren't deleted.
Go t settings and set up auto delete, clear cache, & change what you please, after that report back in a day

Clear cache? In message settings? I actually deleted all my texts and still have this problem. I never set up auto delete on mine but I did my wife's. Either way it still happened to both of us. This "clear cache" sounds like a winner. I wonder if the pics get downloaded but just don't show up in the app. The next time it happens I'm gonna search the folder with ES and see if it's there.
