I put the wrong framework-res.apk into the system/app folder, I have a few and some are old ones from 2.1 and it must be one of those I put on the phone, now when I turn the phone on I get past the "S" logo then it's a blank screen, can anyone help?

Did you place it back into the update.zip file, resign and flash that or did you push framework-res.apk to /system/framework directory?
Also... your edits in framework-res.apk, did they consist of changes to any 9.png files? Editing those files (the 9.png) can cause problems. The best way to edit those files are from source and then either export the edited files using Eclipse or make the apk file using Ubuntu from the source.
I am trying to change the status bar colour in framework-res.apk
I have changed the files but, when i put them on my phone it will not boot
So i tryed NinjaMorph.
It just gets stuck at Working, please wait...
The loading circle thing is going round but it doesn't appear to be doing anything
Any help:? Please?
First you have to deodex the rom . Both the /system/framework and /system/app .
If it is done then you will be able to edit the files needed to change look.
How to deodex them??
Running stock DL30 rooted. No changes.
I pulled my stock framework-res.apk and made some changes to pic files only. I got everything back into the apk file and put it back into the System/framework folder. I guess I am missing something because none of the changes are showing. I changed the notification drop down to clear black. I pulled out what I liked from one file and put it in mine. It did ask to replace everything I did and I said yes. Do I need to maybe put it in a zip and install it from CW or install some other way?
I was hopeing I could pick up some of these little changes people are wanting so the big boys can focus on what is important.
Thanks
Mike
I wrongly attempted to replace the framework-res.apk located at /system/framework with another one that's themed using Root Explorer and mounting R/W, right after I tapped on replace, my Tab hung on me and repeatedly did the single vibrate, then double vibrate, indicating that it's about to Force Close or become unresponsive. I tried to reboot, but it got stuck on the Samsung logo right before it should show the lockscreen. I never got to the lockscreen, and I'm wondering if I can ever replace back my original framework-res.apk that I backed up to my Desktop? or if not replace, place inside, perhaps it could be missing.
Flash your rom again.

You mean like the entire system? I understand that it's possible to flash or push back the framework-res.apk only, back into it's place? Please correct me if I'm wrong, I just heard about the possibility.
If you can't get it to boot that won't be possible.
