Hi Guys
Because there is no way how to play with ROMs on this new device I got bored and start playing games.
It has more powerfull 3D graphics than Galaxy S (2x that in old Desire and HD2).
I tried NFS Shift v 1.04, version for Snapdragon. I already played Shift on my friend's HD2 and it has better graphics there. So I start searching why.
I found, that this version is optimized for older phones with 500MHz CPU and low res display (probably same version as for HD Mini). Small vesion has 38MB and big version for HD2 and Galaxy S has 98MB.
I don't know why there is no better version for old Desire, maybe there is but I didn't find one.
Then I tried few experiments and here are instructions how to make it:
1. Download NFS Shift v1.04 for Snapdragon. You need version with small apk file and separate directory with game data that is intended to be stored on SDCard.
2. Download NFS Shift v1.02 cab file for HD2 (Windows mobile version)
3. Extract android version to your HDD
4. Open windows cab file and extract file "res.dz.025" to folder "\com.ideaworks3d.nfsshift\files\" in your android version
5. Rename file "res.dz.025" to "res.dz". Old file has cca 27MB, new file has 65MB.
6. Follow instructions to install NFS Shift v1.04 into your device
7. Enjoy better graphics
What we are doing here is using file with better resolution textures...yep, its that simple ;-)
PS: Don't try to use texture file from Galaxy S version, it will not work, because it is for PowerVR graphics chip not for Snapdragon Adreno.
MOD EDIT: Providing links to warez is not permitted.
Where is the folder you are referring to in the Android file?I extract the apk but there is no com.ideaworks3d.nfsshift folder.
But if it works,you rock!

Hey guys,
just flashed this ROM and was so inspired by the new brownish Mega style that I had to make a couple of skins.
It looks awesome on the device (much better than the screenshots!)
Very stylish.
It is based on Poorlyduck's amazing ultimate suite
Everything that follows is for QVGA devices only. Do not install on any other screen resolution!
Here is what you get:
M2D: just extract the ZIP file and copy all files to your device's windows directory
only for M2D Mega with original skin, not older versions!
S2U2: just extract the ZIP file and copy folders to "program files\S2U2".
Use clockD and no curtains (except topmost).
Tested up to version 2.04
iContact Burt Edition: just extract ZIP file and copy the two files included to "program files\icontact\themes"
Switch theme to M2Dmega using iContact Config
Tested up to version 7.0 beta
ThumbCal: just copy ZIP file to "program files\thumbcal" and choose M2DmegaTC as skin in ThumbCal settings
Tested up to version 1.3.5
Windows Media: just extract ZIP file and copy folder anywhere on your device (even storage card)
Start playback of a file in WMP and choose menu->options->skins and choose the correct one using previous or next buttons followed by OK
Audio Manager: last but not least my favourite Audio Manager version 1.2 which is fully controllable by HTC remote control e100/w100 (including independant volume control).
It's using much less memory than 2.X version but does not work as well with M2D music tab (album art does not get updated).
I do not use M2D music tab as I only listen through HTC remot e100/w100.
This is a full Audio Manager 1.2 release inlcuding brown skin.
Just install CAB file over your existing audio manager and it will work (uninstall always possible) even with newer audio booster (tested up to version 2.5)
All the above is for QVGA devices only. Do not install on any other screen resolution!
Downloads in second post
Here are the files
I would like to mention again that these releases ar for QVGA only!
Please do not ask me to adapt them to other screen resolutions as I lack the necessary hardware to test it.
Finally: I do not ask for donations as I feel that the community has given me much more than I could ever give back.
A thank you would be nice though (only if you like my work of course)
Have fun,
Sascha

Does anyone have the .apk for donut?
you can try the HTC Sense keyboard, comes with compact and full qwerty
http://androidcommunity.com/forums/230585-post1.html
Ok for anyone using a donut build at 240 x 320 qvga resolution.
If you want a 90% working ezinput, or if your like me and only use it
for compact qwerty attached is the file for the .apk. Install and
enable touch input from locale and text settings. Also your density has
to be set to 120.
Attached is the android update to do that. (rename .zip to .tar)
Hi, does this work for 2.1? I got it to install but it force closes every time.
Hey, thanks for the .apk file. Question - Where do you put the androidupdate.tar? I already have one that I don't want to overide in my andboot folder.
HTC Touch (Vogue)
Using NoMoRootFs with SDCard
Theme - Buuf 1.2 (Ported From DeaDnuLL's Buuf theme)
Res - 320 x 240 (density=120)

Not sure, but I think it has to be in the andboot folder, you could just rename the old one something else?

Put the androidupdate.tar file in the andboot folder and run haret
then press center button to launch installer and then go to androidupdate
and press ok and let it install. You'll be good, dont worry about the previous android update in ur andboot folder.

how i get flash player there ?
Thanks alot BTW its touch Screen..
There's an ARM compatable CE version of 5x5 in post #3 of here :-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=697460
Generally code has to be altered slightly to run under CE, otherwise the display can be a bit of a mess.
Extract the exe file from the zip file and drop it straight on the device.
thats nice

Hi All,
After some tuning and minor bugs corrections, i finaly got a working Windows Phone 7 2.0 theme for TL.
My update is based on the original theme and the addons from FireSlave.
To use the theme,
1. Install TrottleLauncher_1.2.1 in your device memory
2. unpack the given TrottleLauncher.zip in your PC
3. Replace \Program Files\ThrottleLauncher in your device with the one unpacked.
4. reboot then enjoy.

Hello All,
I found installation mistakes in the original post. This will avoid the side effet reported by drupad2drupad.
1. Do not overwrite TrottleLauncher.
Here is the workaround to use the theme.
1. Install TrottleLauncher_1.2.1 in your device memory
2. unpack the given TrottleLauncher.zip in your PC
3. copy WindowsPhone7_2 to your device \Program Files\ThrottleLauncher\Setups\
4. Replace the content of \Program Files\ThrottleLauncher\plugins\ by the one unpacked.
5. Unpack fonts.zip then copy the contents in the device folder \windows
That's all folk

Thanks for that!
Few other things I have noticed are:
The 'my applications' tile is not in English and the icons or links in that hub are linked to no application! There is also no way to link them or edit them so that they will open any application. Is there a fix for that?

i can see that someone with xml coding knowledge is gonna have to have a look over this and see what is going on...
this theme is a pain in the a$$
it is probably the most complex TL theme ever made... bound to have... issues..
if even one character in the code is wrong ... sends the whole thing into chaos..
ill take a look later
Well possible to do better, but actually you don't need to have a strong xml experience to customize the applications links.
You just have to copy the pages\applications.xml on your PC, then modify the links by editing the file in Notepad++ or any xml editor of your choice.
Then write it back on your device.
See howto in the image.
Point (2) is the path to the exe or shurtcut that starts the application.
thanks!!!
but it's a little slow on my x1
facebook???
facebook hookup?
and why everytime i click on a message in the sms hub and text back and go back to the home screen, throttlelauncher has an "unexpected error"???
need to work out the bugs man!!! and re-release...

Everyone might be knowing about this app hTC Love.
If you don't here's the link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3vxEgBv60A
It isn't in the hTC hub.
Thought this would be a cool app to have on my phone. And found the app in the following thread: post #18
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1099538&page=2
I downloaded this app but it won't run on incredible s. Or more specifically on any ROM except the Virtuos Unity sense 3.0 ROM(the sensation ROM port).
I posted this in the other threads but no one replied, that's why starting a new post.
I basically want to get that app working on our phones. So far i have made following progress :
1)Extracted the .apk
2)Separated the .dat & .Png files
The things that are remaining
3)Editing .xml files
4)Editing .png files
5)compiling the .apk
6)signing the .apk
Anyone have any idea about this or willing to help?? please let me know
Here's listing all the tools you will need :
'
Mode10 tools for decoding the .m10 files : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060660
.M10 editor script: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1141636
