SGS - Rogers version - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The samsung galaxy S for rogers... is there froyo on it yet, OFFICIALLY?
How is it different from the bell galaxy S?

No
It's the Galaxy S Captivate where this forum is for the I9000 series which includes the I9000m by Bell.
Sent from a Bell I9000m running Froyo.

[Q] indian froyo 2.2 firmware for bell galaxy s i9000M

Hi frendz I have bell galaxy s i9000m in india. How I can update it to froyo 2.2 & can I update it with froyo firmware released for indian samsung galaxy s i9000.please help me.
1. Bell phones are known to have some issues like 3 button problems and Corruption of internal SD Card. Read the forums for all the Bell issues and know everything about a Bell Galaxy S, before trying to make any changes to it.
2. Do everything carefully. If you brick the phone, you will not be able to avail warranty because you are using it in India.
3. BELL GALAXY AND INTERNATIONAL GALAXY FIRMWARES ARE DIFFERENT. DO NOT UPDATE! THIS WILL RESULT IN A BRICK.

[Q] Using I9000x Themes on international Galaxy S?

Hello,
according to Wikipedia, there are country specific I9000 Galaxy S phones (like the Vibrant --> I9000M).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S#Variants
I am not asking about Roms and Kernels, but is it possible to flash Themes from i.e. Vibrant over the international Galaxy S?
It seems like its basically the same phone...
Thanks for your answers
greetings

i9000t updating

I have a galaxy s i9000t (next g telstra) and im still running 2.2 telstra update but thinking of going to gingerbread 2.3.4
just wondering who has flashed to 2.3.4 on their telstra sgs and are happy with it?
otherwise should i go to 2.3.3?

Roms from here vs Vibrant forum?

There is this forum and and a different one for Samsung Vibrant. I thought this is also a vibrant?
Can ROMs from the vibrant forum be flashed on a bell i9000m?
For whatever reason the box says Vibrant, but the Bell version is actually an i9000m.
And no, you cannot flash Vibrant firmware onto an i9000m, or the other way around.
