For those that need to toggle airplane mode each - Epic 4G Themes

There is an app called airplane AutoSwitch. You are supposed to be able to set the time it goes in airplane mode and comes out.

I just tried it and it works. When you set the start and end time, make sure you push the menu button at the bottom and save it. If you just set it up like you want it and exit out, it will not work. So after time is set press the menu button and select save.

Where can I find this app?

Safe Mode Menu keeps appearing

Everytime my XDA Ignito boots it says "Safe Mode Menu" and asks if I want to enter Safe Mode to tap one of the keys, else it'll time out and boot into "Normal Mode".
Any idea how to stop this from happening?
Thanks in advance.
Mmmm...
Sounds like you've got some third-party app showing its' face. I used to use an app that would offer to boot in safe-mode. I think it was spb Pocket Plus. Do you have anything like that installed?
Thanks mate, it was SPB.

I think the problem is you can only map the G-button to default keys in android, like keys on keyboard (A-Z, space, enter...) and a few other function keys (power, volume...), to toggle airplane mode you probably need to create a app to do it.
Heuxxx remaped this button to turn on camera. Camera is an app. So I have found app to turn on and turn off airplane mode.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.oxdb.Airplane
Here I have Huexxx zip file. And I know that I need to put file there /system/usr/keylayout
http://d-h.st/za3
But how change this file to run my app ?
The difference is : Camera is one of the function key I mentioned above (because obviously some android phone does have a camera button)
the modification in keylayout file does not make it call specific app, it only activate camera button function in android, i.e. open default camera app and take pictures.

I fear so. Maybe try 'key 95 VOLUME_MUTE', sure that is not airplane mode and I don't even know if it works.
In this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1826777 we can do that (Press G to open an app). Hope this can help
PS: Download ver4.2.1. It's the most stable ones

[Q] Disable Touchless Controls using Tasker

Is there anyway I can change the setting to enable/disable Touchless Controls with Tasker? It would be useful to turn off Touchless Controls at bedtime or when I know I wouldn't be using them to begin with. No clue how to approach this.
but friend, is not necessary! and I couldn't find a way to do this. who will say ok google now during the night?

What.....
I said I want to disable Touchless Controls at night. I'm not using it at night. I'm asleep. No sense in having it on and running if I'm not using it.

i understood, the only way is going to the settings it, and disable the first option
You can do this with Secure Settings.
I forget what the action is called within Secure Settings, but it just does the Android 'disable' for you
Titanium backup can give you a widget to freeze it with a click.
But yeah....4 clicks can toggle it off in settings.

That takes care of disabling it... however, when you re-enable it, you still have to go to Settings to "Enable" it again. :|

Secure settings -> root actions -> package state. When you use "disable" do NOT use "user disable."
As long as touchless controls was on before you use secure settings to disable it, it will be on still when you use secure settings to re-enable it

Has anyone got any other ideas? It's been a while, maybe there is something newer?

activating lastpass accessibility toggle

Is it possible to use tasker to switch on lastpass accessibility toggle? My OnePlus 3t (not rooted, OOS 9.0.4) deactivates it almost on a daily basis. I have switched off battery optimisation for lastpass but the phone turns the toggle off.
Use auto input
Ta. I'll check that out
Hi there. Maybe you can try using the "Custom Setting" action for that. Try using the Magnifying glass in the action with the option to automatically find the setting and see if Tasker can find it. Hope this helps!

The easy way is to use the Secure Settings action in AutoTools. That has a direct option for accessibility services. I plan on adding that option to Tasker directly at a later date.
With the Custom Setting action what you should do is read the value, remove or add the needed service from the list, the write the setting.
Ta I'll test that

I must be missing something here. Autoapps seems to only control a subscription service. Can't see anything called secure settings when I download it.

I seem to have manage to get the change state to react to it switching state but need to do some adb to see if it works.

That means that Tasker doesn't seem to be able to communicate with AutoTools. Do other AutoTools actions work?
To make sure Tasker and the AutoApps run in the foreground please check here: https://tasker.joaoapps.com/userguide/en/faqs/faq-problem.html#00

Enable dark mode Whatsapp (Root)

Just leaving this here as a method of applying dark mode for whatsapp.
I can confirm working on GM1913 EU - 10.0.2 stock rooted.
Only extra step not in the following guide is to kill whatsapp after following the steps and relaunch and you will find a theme option in settings to enable dark mode.

go into the developer options, search for "Force override dark mode", turn that baby ON, and enjoy all apps darkened.

Yeah, works perfectly even for WhatsApp - thanks for that!
Confirmed working on latest non-beta 2.19.360 from Play Store.
Thanks, this is awesome and a much better solution than force enabling it for every app because that messes up some apps in my case.

So I added the line, and changed it, now when opening the file I see Whatsapp moved the line elsewhere in the file. The setting in the app is a little buggy, once now it automatically switched back to light mode, and now it's dark but the setting shows light mode. It's weird.
