Last night when I was going to bed, I looked at the clock (at like 3am) and it said "sevenO'eight."
Anyone else have this problem? It's annoying.
EDIT: Nvm, I just read about the "Force Update" if it's not synching..

Hey guys, just recently my GN&W widget either stopped displaying the top stories section completely or just has 1-3 articles in there at a time.. has this happened to anybody else? and if so, what have you done about it?
This is happening to me as well. Maybe they are retooling Google news. I hate the new Google news website
this is happening to me too and is really annoying. i also assumed that its related to the google news overhaul but i would expect there to be more complaints about this. it makes it seem like not everyone has this issue.

on my phone when i go into the news and weather app, sometimes the "Top Stories" category is completely missing and other times it only has 1 or 2 items under "Top Stories". if i clear the data for news and weather then top stories will return, but show only 5 items instead of the full 10. as soon as i do any type of refresh the items disappear.
my nexus one is on frf91 and is completely stock.

I'm also experiencing the exact same issue on stock frf91...quite annoying ;\
Swype works fine on my 3.1 rooted 3G. I swapped the build.prop file for a modded one to get rid of the annoying update popup, an the swype would no longer swype. (Love how they do these betas.)
I get the "data connection" error, and I can't reload swype.
Wondering if anyone has has any luck on this...
swype works fine on 3.2 rooted wifi with tachi kernel. uninstall everything reinstall new installer from swype and install swype again
Thre last swype update fixed compatibility problems with 3.2

There have beth two apps I've installed lately who's widgets have not shown up in the widget menu immediately after installation. With the Chronus clock it took a while before it showed up as a selectable option. It showed up on the lock screen widget menu, but not the home screen one. The other was a photo frame widget. Has anyone else had this happen or know of a fix? It's super annoying.

I have the same issues. a phone restart will fix it. but that seems to be a bit ridiculous.

I agree. I installed the GEL today but the issue is still present. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

darn it...i was hoping a launcher change would fix it. was it doing this on 4.2.2? Ive only had the Moto X under 4.4...

Don't know. I accepted the Kit Kat OTA less than 24 hours after activating my Moto X. Wasn't until after that I tried adding new widgets. They will eventually appear without a reboot but I have not determined the amount of time it takes or if it's some kind of event or action that makes the Widget menu refresh. Really irritated about this.

Okay... I may have found a possible fix. I enabled ART in Developer options => Select runtime. After letting the process of app optimization to finish, it seems that my widget menu now refreshes immediately, as it should. At least it worked immediately when I downloaded the Yahoo! Weather app... maybe just a fluke but I'll take it. After the first reboot I immediately opened every app I use on a daily basis and everything opened snappily and I got no force closes. I even opened Pandora (I had heard a lot of people having compatibility issues with ART) and it started up just fine and played a song all the way through without a skip, hiccup or error. Only time and experimentation will tell if this is truly a fix to the problem, so I'd really like to hear if it works for you too. Cheers!

It seems to be working for me...DL'd google keep and widget showed up immediately. things feel snappier as well. I know ART is a bit experimnental so ill have to keep an eye out. Its interesting that the original problem occurred under Dalvik. This type of error would not have surprised me if ART was originally enabled. thanks!!
Is anyone else having issues where the weather part of the Command Center widget never updates? I'm not sure what broke it or how to fix it other than manually refreshing it.
Yeah it started a while ago. I just noticed it for the past week or so. The Motorola forum made it seem like it never worked but I know it did.

They weather update part got broke on the last Droid Turbo update.
I am using a menu as described here http://tasker.dinglisch.net/userguide/en/help/ah_menu.html. I selected "Icon and Text Menu".
My menu worked fine on Android 6 Marshmallow. After upgrade to Android 7 Nougat, the icons appear, but the text is missing. The menu still works when pressed. I created a new menu from scratch and it's the same.
Please can anyone else on Nougat report if they see the same problem, or if it works fine for them? Any ideas what I might have done wrong please? Maybe I lost some Tasker setting during the upgrade? I had a quick look in the log but I can't really understand it.
Nexus 5X, stock Android rooted, Tasker 4.8u5 (latest on Google Play at time of writing).
I've got the same problem on 2 phones (Nexus 6 and 6p). I've noticed this problem since the previews this summer. I haven't found any solution. One phone is 100% stock bootloader still locked. I don't think that has anything to do with it.
Same problem here on Pixel with Android 7.1. The icons show up, but the title and menu text is absent.
Hi. Same problem on HTC 10 after stock ota upgrade. Updating tasker to last version solved the problem for me!

Unfortunately still not working for me on Tasker 4.9u4 which is the latest version that I can see in Play Store.
This worked for me. Changed text colors to anything and it displays now. I can't post links, but it was on reddit, popup_command_gives_no_text_in_black_box_android

Great, many thanks that fixed it. Reddit article is here. Where the article said to change "Scenes tab/Popup" I had to change "Icon and Text menu" instead because that's what my menu was set to. It took 5-10 minutes of fiddling with settings, what seemed like redundantly resaving the same as I already had. I'm not exactly sure which one worked in the end, but if you have the same problem, persevere and you will solve it.
