USB stopped working :(

Hi, my 2 week old Diamond has stop connecting to Activesync. Even when I force bootloader mode by using vol down, power and reset it show's serial but when I plug in USB the unit turns off . . . So anyone any ideas ?? Or is it a warranty thing
Thanks

<Challenge> Diamond wont go Bootloader

Hello,
I have here a diamond unit, that client complained about this issue from months ago.
Volume key (-) doesn´t seem to function correctly.
As so he can´t enter in bootloader by pressing volume key(-) + power button.
The problem is that phone is now stuck at WM startup. And I can´t put it in bootloader to flash it.
He´s stuck at tap screen align, just random reset itself.
I can hear the sound of USB connection with PC, but not fully connected to activesync, so back again, can´t detect himself to start RUU process.
I need some ideas...
BTW: Yes I know where the problem of volume key is. It´s on the PCB board connector with flex. But can´t fix here at home, will need wait few days to come into the office and try repair. Meanwhile would be awesome to be able to flash it and put it at normal work again.

If you can boot windows look in my signature there is a Boot loader tool and it works on diamond i have tested it
Also there is a post for forced boot loader mode for htc prophet\wizard involves connecting power to pins manually will this work for Diamond ?
Ok finally fixed it
Explored the thing about hearing USB connecting... WIN7 would never been possible, but under XP and activesync, that was enough to connect and flash.
@wapvirus
Yes, I thought about power pinout, but could require advanced tools, which I don´t have at home...

Bootloop, no downloadm., no recovery, no USB...

Hey, got some probs with my I9000...
Tried to restore to stock, while my cat jumps on the table... The Connection was lost, now the phone stucks on bootlogo. I cant get into downloadmode or recovery, just in upload.
Tried severel hints like vol+/- and put the akku back, vol- and home, JIG, etc.
But it seems that USB isnt working also.
When I connect to charger, it doesent charge.
It wont even turn on while connected USB.
Somebody had the same probs and can help?
I need my phone fast back working.
Thx for every tip.
have you tried to remove battery for 2 minutes?
Yeah, put it out of the phone for 5 min and something around 3 hours...
It's a real tricky brick... The only words I've got in my mind are "god damn"...
But thx already.
mmm... maybe you have corrupted bootloader... bring that to Samsung Service... it's only thing you can do now
you could try and get a device from ebay for £1.50 that will force it into download mode. "download jig"

Hi there,
you could give One-Click UnBrick a try...

Greetings Geniac
That's the prob, I can't get in downloadmode and USB doesnt work either...
I have the same problem but worse
I have a similar problem with my Galaxy S. I was using Odin to unroot the system and put back on gingerbread. I was in download mode and it failed to downgrade so i turned the phone off by holding the power button for about 10 seconds.
Now my phone wont even get a bootloop. It wont respond to the charger or the usb. I've tried all the 3 button fixes. Even done a few things with odin and holding the 2 volume keys down whilst plugging in the usb but nothing has worked. It's not even trying to turn on. It's as if the battery isn't connected anymore even though it was full when it crashed.
It's really pissing me off now cause i need my phone for business.
Kill the damn cat :banghead:

Try to take out the battery for 2-3 minutes. than while the battery is out press the 3 buttons combination for download mode (Volume down, Home and Power), ask someone to insert the battery while you holding the 3 buttons and wait (while holding the buttons of course). It can take something like 5 minutes. It work for some I hope it will work for you to.
And yes Kill the damn cat
Hey guys
Youve got to try Unbrickable mod and heimdall one click, it's the only possible solution if you don't want to JTAG
my case is weird too ...my i9000 get stuck at boot logo , no recovery mode but I can get into download mode yet I have tried three laptops with xp and one with windows 7 all of them give unknown device error and not able to detect the phone hence can't use odin to flash ...tried all kind of drivers found online , same unknown device error...any ideas if this might work or any advice from anyone before I get home to try tonight ?

sorry...I meant to reply to the one click unbrick thread but for some reason I made a mistake and. replied here anyhow ...if anyone can help that would be great...

[Q] ATIV S i8750 "dead"

Hi,
is it possible that the replacement of the sdcard/sim slot part on an ATiv S i8750 can cause damage to the phone?
4 months ago i replaced the sdcard/simslot part with a new one, the phone was working fine, one month after the replacement of the part it couldn't read the sdcard but everything else was working fine (for 3 months) until now, one day and while i was playing a game the phone hanged, i could press only the left(back) button which was responding with vibration (not exiting app) and the screen was a bit trembling. I kept pressing the power button to shut down the phone but it didn't, so i took off the battery, after this nothing is working. cannot switch on the phone, no key combinations for reset and download mode are working. When i connect the phone on usb i can hear the confirmation sound that the device is connected but nothing else, cannot access the phone.
Do you think it's worth trying to replace the part with a new one and check if it is working? I've read in the forum of using a usb jig to get into download mode, do you think will work?

[HELP] Mi5 bricked - not recognised by the pc

So, my husband had a Mi5 64GB phone, the bootloader is unlocked, xiaomi.eu latest stable multi-rom was on it.
A couple of weeks ago it went dead all of a sudden. There was no live in it at all. I could not put it on, it was not recognized it was not recognised by the pc (I never linked it to the pc, so I had to install adb and miflash), no fastboot, no bootloader, nothing at all.
When charging the phone stayed cool, there were no lights, no blinking lights, again nothing.
So, as it was still in the guarantee period, I send it to a technician and got it back working again, the latest xiaomi.eu development rom was installed by the technician.
In the meanwhile my husband bought a new phone, and, as I had dropped my Mi3, I could upgrade to his Mi5.
But, after cleaning up the phone, I had some problems. I flashed something with TWRP, which worked, it booted up to miui. Then I wanted to reboot and the phone just Now, only two weeks after the repair, the phone again drops dead, exactly the same as the previous time. So I decided not to send it to the technician, as it is in another country and I have to pay the sending cost and it obviously did not do much.
What I then did get off the backpart of the phone, unscrew the top part of the phone (yes, I now broke the seal, bye bye guarantee) and I did the test point method multiple times. I did it after 'charging' the whole night. Sadly, this does not work. The computer does not recognise the phone.
What I also tried was holding a number of key combinations down a couple minutes (volume up + volume down + power), (volume down + power) and (volume up + power). So, I am now out of ideas.
The phone seems really dead, but the technician also got it working again... so I know there has to be a way to solve the problem.
Does anyone have a good suggestion (except from giving up, take my lossed and bury the phone)?
Last time i had my phone completely dead like this i held fastboot combination for 5 minutes then fastboot mode came up. And then oressing twrp combination, twrp came up and the rest was fine laterwards. I had this issue 3 times till now. And solved it similarly

Thanks, I will try this. With or without the phone plugged into the charger?

Well, power + volume down for 5 minutes does not give me anything (not charging).
Well, I tried it again and now it did work! Thank you!!!!

So, what I gather now with bricked Mi5 with unlocked bootloader is the following.
If the Mi5 is dead (black screen, no way to get it on), no charging light even when charging, then:
a) If it is recognised by the PC with Qualcomm 9008 try to solve it with the test points method
b) If it is not recognised by the PC, try to hold the power button + volume (= fastboot mode) down for 5 minutes or so (perhaps a couple tries are needed) and then when the bunny is on the screen power button + volume up (= recovery mode) to solve it. What I did do was charge it for a while before trying this.

If you want qualcomm 9008 open correctly then u should have to disconnect battery strips form phone's board then perform test points with proper 9008 drivers then see the results.
