Which rom are you using (if you're rooted)?
Are you using the stock messenger? If yes, have you tried using Handcent or some messaging alternative?

Could someone please tell me how or where can I find photos sent via text messaging using the stock messaging app? My wife has sent me a few photos of my kid from her iPhone and I can see the button to download them but nothing appears and I don't know where they show up. Thanks!
I've posted this question in the HTC ONE forum on AndroidCentral as well, but I haven't had any responses yet. I'd love to see if this is an HTC ONE related issue, or if it's possibly just an issue with my wife's phone specifically.
Any help or insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I picked up an HTC One for my wife yesterday and she tinkered with it all evening yesterday. One thing she noticed that I was unable to answer was sending pictures using the SHARE option. Sure, you can open up the default text messaging app and send a picture, but typically she'll share Facebook messages or share multiple photos from an app like QuickPic and then select MESSAGING to send the photos. Right now, it's forcing her to save the pictures, then open the messaging app and attach them.
I looked myself and noticed there is a very limited number of apps available under the SHARE option when you're trying to share an image from any app (Gallery, QuickPic, Facebook, etc). There does not seem to be a way of sharing images (single or multiple) directly from the image viewer or original app, you have to open the messenger app and then add them one by one.
I even tried downloading AndMade Share, but that showed the same limited list of apps to share with.
Am I missing something? I looked through the list of messaging settings, tried searching online here and on XDA, and couldn't find any mention of this issue. I'd rather not install a 3rd party messaging app to gain this ability, but if it's required then so be it.
As a side note, she's loving the phone overall. The camera is stellar and getting the phone for $169 at Costco was a bonus as well (even came with a free fitted transulucent plastic case, which was nice). The HTC included ear buds were also very nice. Overall, very impressed with the phone and included goodies.

Thanks for the response. I'll take a look at her phone when she gets home tonight.
I tried that last night and the items I got were:
Send to AT&T Locker
Gmail
Email
Facebook
Picasa
Dropbox
and a few others.
I'll post a screen cap if it still isn't working.
Just seems odd that even with Andmade Share MESSAGES wasn't showing. Maybe I was just not seeing it in the list on the phone. That's entirely possible, as we had just got back into town last night when this occurred.

Looks like you can use Share to send one picture via the stock Gallery app, but no luck sharing with QuickPic (single or multiple selected photos) or Facebook to the stock messaging app.
Here are screen caps of the QuickPic SHARE options. Options are similar within Facebook as well.
Just an update:
I e-mailed the developer for QuickPic to mention the issue my wife was having with her HTC one. They responded that it's an issue with the HTC Messaging app. According to him, HTC limits which apps can share pictures with the messaging app.
Looks like the answer will be to use a non-stock messenger.
Same issue. I want to send memes from an app, but don't get the option unless I save to gallery. Third party messenger it is, I guess.

Its stupid things like this that give everyone a reason to bash android as a whole. I cannot wait for an aosp ROM to become available for this thing.CComing from aokp on my nexus is making me frustrated with sense.

I had this issue because I transferred my contact pictures over from Google, and my last phone had lower res pictures. I solved it by taking new hi res pictures for my contacts.
Try this app.

I had to remove each contact photo and then re add it from pics I had in my gallery of people.
Use Haxsync like Zabalba said. It sync's higher resolution photos from fb for you.
This has been driving me crazy. Thanks for redo pics idea..worked wonders

Thanks for the input, but sorry not an option for me, hangouts is trash imo. Really would rather handcent or stock mms. To ask again, any else experience very compressed almost pixilated photos when sending mms?
Any other suggestions, like a build.prop edit or something?
Go Pro SMS has some specific options for Multimedia MMS settings, and if you attach an image it prompts for conversion and sizes. I can't find the same things for the default Messages app.
There are some tweaks available via the XPosed Framework, too like blocking SMS to MMS messages
*** Correction I'm running the Unity ROM and I'm no longer prompted for the MMS image conversion and it's a very big compression.
My previous phone, Nexus 6, had this amazing feature which would string together all photos from each individual sender. Meaning that if you clicked on w photo, from stock messaging app, from a particular sender and wanted to see what other photos they've texted you, whether it was from the same day or a month ago, all you had to do was swipe to the left or right of the photo and it would automatically take you to every other photo that the sender texted you, without having to back out of said photo and go scrolling through all messages to find other photos.
Question is, is there anyway we can get that feature working on the G4? Or could someone point me in the right direction of how I could try to get this working on our G4's. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance everyone.
